Hey guyz I'm an amazing FPS player who wants to get good at fighting games. I don't want to go to tournaments, I want to win online. Can we have the Illuminati discussions here again? Because the SRK thread has just become insert gun in mouth bad.
-
Now I'm tempted to announce a Greensboro gathering and a few posts later ask if there's anything going on in Greensboro.
-
I was thinking if Ian's doesn't happen it would be a good time for sudden hotel gathering.
-
I'll have to come out on Saturday at the very least so Sam and I can pat each other on the back about getting our sheepskins.
-
I can't believe the DLC for that game costs more than the game itself at this point.
-
I was thinking about American muscle cars when I said that you buy American to get metal box + wheels. Look at an original Dodge Charger and tell me my thinking was wrong.
-
Only if you buy American.

I would be hype, but not to the level your or Matt would. Y'all can spend hours in training mode just seeing if you can do something. I cannot. But I'm the type who will play GT and make different gear settings for my car dependent on the track, and then plan out my tire changes. I've done some of the 4 hour endurance races in GT3. My roommate the year we met at NCSU copied my game save once I won a Formula 1 car and spent the rest of the semester tweaking it to run perfectly on one track. A track that doesn't even exist in the real world. While you were teaching me to not super jump and buzz saw corner trap people he taught me about how to customize a car and what the most important upgrades really are (TIRES). It does have your CR-Z though. Nice car. Could use some more power. Nice interior (they fully mapped the dash view for the game).

I can't give an objective opinion on GT5 as my response to a new GT is like Blake or Matt's response to a new GG. If you want a realistic racing game, GT5 is what you need. It has fucking everything. NASCAR, Touring Car, World Rally Championship, Go Karting (real go karting, not Mario Kart), lots of contemporary and classic cars (not as much US/Euro stuff as I'd like, but I'll take a 240Z when I can get it). Oh, and it has the Top Gear Test Track. And the Bugatti Veyron. And Ferrari. And Lamborghini. And other Italian car makers ending in the letter 'i'.

How soon is too soon to start making Gran Turismo 5 money matches?
-
There will be display lag then.
-
Is there a chance they could have just charged you wrong?
-
And thus ends the golden age of Bali Hai.

MMOs are all about who you play with. I wouldn't have made it as long as I did in WoW had I not been playing with Dale, Jon and Daniel. Right now the only people I know that are playing MMOs are the FFXI addicts. Of course, I might crack out again when Phantasy Star Online 2 hits next year.
