  1. Since Xrd-release the community is actually fine Not SF4-level big but even in germany there's always people on to play with (mainly guys from hardedge.org, organized through IRC - #blazblue) or the aforementioned French#1, where everyone gathers if they search for random opponents. Maybe if you're not that far from London, you could check out some of these guys: http://ngi-revolution.co.uk/ I've only been at their anime-tourney in 2014, but it was really great, let's see if they do another one this year
  2. The people i know that accidentaly purchased the EU-version also got some other version later.... So maybe it would be best to try to get a refund for your game if somehow possible and buy some other version that people actually play :/ Didn't play a lot online lately but France#1 was often > 20 people when i looked. Good luck
  3. Staying with I-No if Baiken doesn't come yet, then probably both or who's more fun.. wait.. when it comes to my country? I'm in EU >.<
  4. Any Yuzu info? :3
  5. Omg, i also thought they would be closing the game down again. Poor guys, nice that they take it so personally (dat picture) and try to do their best for the game..
  6. Same for me, 4s are just trolling... :/
  7. Yeah, start player match and choose "specific", then tell them your room name. Also set required connection quality to 0! Default is 3 (was for me on PS4), and friends could not find my room until i changed that.
  8. Ah, that's terrible... good that they act fast on something like this... Good luck with having fun again, though not everything got restored :/
  9. Thanks! I know some (mainly SF4-playing) guys who think BB/GG is ultra-complex to learn because of all the different buttons you have to remember. Ironically for me it feels the other way round with 6button-fighters... Will show them this, maybe it'll help! It also gave me some new ideas (2S after 5S for example..) Great blog as always!
  10. Yeah, i know, i just googled and scouted some recent threads :D Ok, now they all sound awesome and some spitfire/mechanic vids looked real fun, too... Maybe I'll just make multiples and stay with whats the most fun. Thanks!
  11. Any hints / input to subclass-decision? I wanted to go female launcher because the character portrait looks sick and the big guns look mighty cool (i neeeed that laser!). After watching some vids i'm a bit torn whether it would be getting boring in the long run compared to ranger... but maybe there's deeper tactics involved than simply kiting monsters, then standing back-to-the-wall and burning everything in sight (which looks awesome). I guess it's not as easy as it sounds... right? Edit: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/937883-dungeon-fighter-online/71475781 ok, here someone says Ranger seems to be the boring one O__o hm..
  12. Ok, solution: Sleep it over > go to work > come back > works. Using Xpadder now with Win7 compatibility + Run as Administrator + Qanba stick set to Xbox. Soo much fun!!! °o° I'll join the guild with my Rogue later. Female Launcher + female Brawler will probably be my first subs, they look pretty stylish And i don't know if i'll have to start over on some Europe server in April or when they eventually put up servers over here. (If i'm still able to abandon my stuff by then...)
  13. Hmm, i think i have everything on Run as administrator already after it kicked me out the first time... but will try again later this week, gotta work tomorrow >.< Thx for the hints =) The fix for the letters not being recognized was to set compatibility of Xpadder to Windows XP btw (not Win7). Now i can talk to NPCs in town and stuff...
  14. Thanks for the info! I still have some problems, though, after trying for a while already... I first tried JoytoKey, then MotionJoy + Xpadder (with PS3-pad). One problem is, that it doesn't recognize the keyboard-letters when mapping them to the gamepad (i can "write" stuff in Word with the pad fine). And when i map the gamepad-button to X i can attack in dungeons, but i can't talk to people in town anymore, except using the mouse. Ok, so i settled with using the mouse but the second problem is, after playing for 5 minues or something i always get a security alert for using hacking software, with both setups (joytokey/xpadder). I'm on windows8. Did you have the same problems or know what i'm doing wrong? :/ Guild sounds like fun if i get it to work
  15. Does anyone know if there will be EU-Servers after "global release" in April? So i would have to start again to play in my region afterwards? Tried f.gunner and thief this weekend on Cain. Seems like potentially lots of fun if i can get anyone else round here to try it ^^ Edit: Also if anyone has any brief hints for how to use skill-shortcuts.. you said some things like using quarter-circles instead of the skill-bar or something? I'm playing with keyboard at the moment and trying to navigate and remember where to press for 10 skills on the left of my keyboard is totally strange when beeing used to playing on pad/stick/wasd-layout... If it would be possible to use a pad/stick in an efficient manner (qcf-commands for skills or something, so you don't need like 10+ buttons + item-bar), that would be great.
  16. Lol, no, read the words that are written to you. Fighting naked looks just stupid to me and i personally like my sexy with a bit of a fitting context and personality. This tournament-soft-ban is just to look more serious (as a fighting game, not ero-game) to the general public, nothing else. I was already done with this, i don't even play DoA (VF5 > all 3D), i just found the panic hillarious ^_^
  17. I think in Warcraft 3 a replay just contained the time and position of button-presses. So every situation depends on all the previous information played in order, there is never a concurrent gamestate you could rewind to.... Dunno if it also works like this in FGs, but that would be an explenation. Edit: Ninja-sandwiched ._.
  18. Yeah, i know the past was riddled with ridiculous stupid rules we never want to come back. I'm with you there. But why would someone attending a tournament and getting in top 8 and play on stream (for which the soft ban is proposed to be applied by TOs on their discretion) be someone that cannot enjoy DoA without a revealing costume? They are not trying to force people not to use and enjoy these costumes at all but to show to the general public (that generally has no idea what's going on) that it's a fighting game that you can enjoy also with your clothes on, so to show that it has other merits, too, that do not require the one selling point everyone knows about. If viewed as this, is it still a problem? I'm sorry if i missed your point somewhere, i didn't read every post of today completely due to time-constraints -.- Well later today i read another article about a guy in germany that gets curious looks and called crazy for going out in winter just wearing a t-shirt, because he's just used to the cold. So as you see, the public ist very stupid and close-minded, at least in our parts, without questioning anything beyond what they see and WANT TO imagine about it. Maybe see the soft-ban as something like someone suggesting that you cover your ancles when visisting them, because they got a dog that tends to snap at juicy ankles. To answer your other question: A soft-ban by the community as i understand it is more a suggestions for TOs to follow if they want their game to thrive in the public eye. I would understand the outrage if there was a group of people that wanted to abolish naked skin in video-games, no question! But with what they're trying to do i just don't get the panic at all ^_^
  19. Why the hell would he have to stop playing a game if he likes the mechanics of it? It's like telling Smash players "Hey, the producer of your game wanted to make a party game, as stated clearly by Brawls tripping mechanic. If you hate items so much, shut up and play Nidhogg and let the majority of people enjoy that game while drunk, with items and 4 player free for all, how it's supposed to be played!" He wasn't even whiteknighting or feminizing or anything. Also TAI-X, the competitive scene for any game is the minority, so why should they be forbidden to try to show to the general public that their game contains more than boobs or violence or random crap or anime tropes for that matter? By the way, in my opinion it's totally random to come here (oder eventhubs) and "Mortal Kombat is brutal, too, why don't the DoA-community rebel against Mortal Kombat first", what does that have to do with anything, the MK-community should decide that on their own. O_o And as stated they already play with tournament-settings to switch off the violence that is not needed to enjoy the game competitively. Sure, i also loath the casual use of rape-related stuff in the FGC. But that's like saying "What? We can't have world peace? Then why should we put any effort to stopping conflict, it's not worth it." Just because they're trying to show DoA in a more serious light does not mean that they would rather approve of RL-molestation .. i guess O.o What i agree on: Everyone play Virtua Fighter, it's so so good! Dislaimer: I also don't mean to attack anyone, i just don't get what everyones problem is with this topic. It feels like everyone is afraid this will mean the end of freedom in the modern world, kind of like this Really?
  20. Nah, but fighting naked and in high-heels = utterly stupid to random viewers and potentially interested players looking for a fighting game they can enjoy and show their friends. Also, there is sexy and then there is objectifying and degrading (i haven't seen those costumes, so i'm just saying in general). And even if you say they aren't... If i didn't know what to expect by DoA the swaying breasts at the win screen after my first match wouldn't have implied that this is a game that can be taken serious or that you would want your co-workers and family to know about. But a lot of males seem to feel victimized by this (judging by eventhubs.. why do i still read there anyway O_o). What's everyones problem with soft-banning some stupid costumes to try and get some more credibility for the DoA-community and DoA as a fighting game? I don't get it. Must agree with VermillionBird here.
  21. So cool, will definitely be there! Thanks to entnervt, ATG, Mik, Senser and all who made this possible!
  22. From a not so pro perspective: What really helped me understand not to mash during combos like 2 years ago was BBCSEX Ragna challenges (dunno the number right now), where you need to wait till the opponent drops down again and continue with 6B. After that it really clicked for me and also felt really good to press one button precisely once and continue your combo. Before that i was playing Lambda and just hammering that D, which worked for her juggle-combos no problem. I know UNIEL has no challenges, but since you own BB, maybe that's an idea to consider to get the feeling for it. The rest of the way i learned with Baiken in +R because she's my favorite charakter, so spending lots of time in training felt more like fun, not work. E.g. this combo-part: 2K > 6P (wait for the two hits to connect) > 623P to continue. Before that i was really struggling with DP-motions too, plus doing them at the right time during a combo.
  23. Oh, today, thought next week. Still at work today, sadly.... Have fun guys =)
  24. Depends on day and time, since my life-schedule (when i have time to play during a week) will probably shift around quite a bit soon. But generally interested, UNIEL is nice, would like to play
