Getting hit by a human-sized metal Robot-thing accelerating down from heaven? Sounds pretty deadly to me D: Seemed to me that Celica heals them and Minerva disagrees and destroys.... The impact-pause here feels even more brutal than Nu's giant Sword for example. Or does she simply grab them? Then it would be totally dumb to fly into the sky first... Anyone know what Celica says? ... oh well is this even news-related enough for this thread? ._.

Hm... didn't see her DD yet, but i like [Full heal and flowers] --> [Minerva impact] personally ^_^ Makoto / Bullet / Bang changes make me hype to play BB again, though i completely switched to GG+R/UNIEL some months ago. Seems to make the charakters more interesting+fun, not just stronger...

I don't think you have to panic about PS3 being left in the cold immediately. If the second or third version of Xrd only gets released for PS4 so be it (in 1-3 years?) Why would Arcsys mess with all the PS3-owners, right now? Sony just wants to promote their new console with the demo and stuff, naturally, i'd say. Want the demo and want a PS4 at some point... but buying a new stick just for that?.. .. if i could use my current stick, they would have gotten themselves a PS4 sold right away.

Noticed that the first hit of your blockstring hit him while he was still crossing you up and facing away (or right after). Maybe it depends on that?

Question about this: 5C > 236A > 9D > j.C A few pages back and in the tutorial vids i think i've only always seen it as 5C > 236A > 9D > j.2[C] What's the difference? Is it just easier? Had the impression in netplay yesterday that j.C is rather easy to hit, but can't reliably do j.2[C] (yet) Sorry if explained somewhere already.

Yeah, go to training mode and grind it out. Had to do the same thing for 623 motions for Baiken some months ago. Really went into training for a while on some consecutive evenings to try to get it down (stop when you get sloppy and do something else). When that worked quite well, I then repeated the motion by itself and my combos a few times before every play-session. .. Otherwise the first few matches it would fail again when i really needed it... Good Luck

Haha, announcing new characters left and right :D I liked innocent Lambda much more than Psycho-Nu (story-wise *cough*), new Image of her looks pretty sweet ^_^ Also trusting in ASW to keep making charakters play differently.

U could also just play at the arcade while there, or use their superior internet :D Counting on good netplay, too, though i will have 1-3 offline people hopefully. Probably not gonna take time off, since it's a bit scarce this year.. but depends on the exact date.

I heard that the DS4-Dpad is reeally good for fighters. Can't judge personally, but if the Vita Dpad is anyhing to go by that thing is supergreat for all kinds of inputs. Can't personally hit the corners reliably on DS3-Dpad. Just wanted to leave this here because learning DS3 stick (to me) sounds like the most horrible execution learning experience possible ;D

I really like my Qanba q4raf, since it's usable on Xbox360 and PS3 without any meddling. It comes with Sanwa parts. Was also really easy to swap them out for my Seimitsus, since the interior is very tidy. Just some screws to loose on the bottom. Also: felt bottom = comfy :3

I think so too. If you like what you play, you will learn faster anyways and have fun doing so.

I think it hasn't been mentioned: If you're starting to learn stick while starting to play 2D-Fighters more seriously i wouldn't suggest playing SF4, since the very lenient input detection (33-input basically registerting as DP/623) will make you relearn quartercircle and dp-motions all over again after switching games. Or at least it was like that for me, was raging and doubting myself for 2 days when trying out some kof13, because no DP would ever come out....
