Thought was able to make on Saturday since it was the first weekend of summer vacation but something came up. :v Maybe I'll go to the one on 5/31 or whenever the NorCal people come on down.

Finally got my copy, been messing around with DIO and the jump cancel nerf is not as bad as I thought, it just forces your execution to be more on point than before. However, his [214L > JC > jH > j236X > SR > jL > Son > 5L > 5M > 2L]x2 advanced BnB is inconsistent and may not even be worth it this time. Gonna grind it out some more though. Also, losing the ability to throw knives in Stand On mode somewhat hurts his neutral, there was honestly no need for that and most likely the reason why they got rid of it was so DIO can't perform that really situational knife loop that he had. Also anybody from SoCal want to play? -
I'd hate to derail the discussion away from 1.1 for a while but lately, I've been finding that holding 623B/C to be surprisingly effective sometimes. Before, I would occasionally throw them out just a few moments too early and it would whiff, thus dying. Had I held and delayed them, I would've anti aired my opponent. When the opponent starts to respect this by not jumping or air dashing at you more this should give you a bit of a breather in neutral. I personally feel silly for not realizing this sooner and again, sorry for the slight derail but I think this obvious trick should still prove a bit useful in 1.1?

Okay, guess I'll stop being pessimistic and try to give /real/ advice haha. What I personally like to do as Izayoi is space with 5B and 236C at midrange since Azrael seems much more scarier up close. Also, like lunaris previously said, use Growler if the Izayoi is being braindead with Sonic Sabers. As for aerial approach, Azrael has that one air normal (forgot which one) which kind of alters the way he lands which can throw off an Izayoi trying to anti air him with 623B/C, it's worked wonders against me personally. On defense, try to look out for 236C~A stance cancels, we tend to do so after 6C and 5B, at least for me, but an Izayoi worth his/her salt should mix it up and maybe throw in a mode change mid blockstring should the situation call for it like when baiting your 2C like lunaris said. Anyway I'm not entirely sure if something like our 5B > 6C is entirely gapless and could be punishable since I've seen some Izayoi's autopilot it on block sometimes, myself included. Also the advice lunaris put above could also be posted in our Izayoi v Azrael thread lol.

Azraels having trouble against Izayoi, lol.... We're practically free against this MU, you have better buttons than we do. Try not to block too many Sonic Sabers, sure it's not much at first glance but blocking them gives us a stock, which we desparately need to even /attempt/ to even up to MU with Gain Art mode. Also watch out for teleport shenanigans as well and you're home free.

I think the hard part initially when playing 1.1 Izayoi is getting used to all of these new aerial movement options and making the most of them in a match lol.

How long? It just depends on how good your execution is as a player. I was able to get her 2B links down like 80%-90% after a good 3-4 hour grind. I still can't do mode change combos though but that's probably because I'm lazy and 1.1 is around the corner.

I don't really mind the SB Critical Shot nerf as much as I appreciate the 5D buff, as it should give her an easier time starting pressure and giving her some momentum. The increased untech time on CH air Double Fangs sound interesting as well but on one hand, I don't think I've ever seen combos with air Double Fangs at all. On that note, how is air Double Fangs as a stand alone air attack btw? -

You have to give credit where credit is due. Sure, CC2's fighting games aren't known for their quality when it comes to mechanics and overall feel, in fact, the opposite of that thanks to the Storm series, but at the very least, I can see that they tried in this game, and hell, they even bothered to release patches to improve the game unlike their Storm games. -

Honestly, after watching footage of this character, especially that 20+ win streak in the acho video, why would anybody go back to Persona-less Sho? Is there anything he has that PSho doesn't?

I still can't do 3C > 665B > 5C > consistently, same goes for d.6B > 66C > 22B. I'm probably still not used to how Noel's dash "feels" and it could also most likely just be me not putting in enough time to practice since I'm lazy but I can't quite execute those two parts just yet.

I've almost never used OD for combos, should I ever decide to use it, it's to do it at the beginning of the first round to gain an easy 4 stocks and then work my way through there and if I'm lucky, I'll get my burst back near the end of the round anyway.

Thanks for the reply. After watching more footage of Tsubu's A.B.A. it seems that he goes for butt loops or rekka loops, but now I'm wondering how do I know which loop to choose, does it even matter?
