  1. Why not just send them a message letting them know you have to go, but would like to get some matches in another time when you can stick around longer? I definitely agree with people taking it way to seriously sometimes, some of the anger levels I've seen generated from online matches is ridiculous. Though the rage mail can be pretty funny at times, it would be nice if people would at least attempt to use punctuation and stop misspelling lose. (so many people online are loosing to bs spam and other cheap tactics) I don't like when I've been waiting in a full lobby for a match and someone who just lost and must have revenge messages me demanding that I pass, doesn't happen that often but the few times it has have been irritating. Also uncommon but mildly annoying is running into people that demand or beg for you to let them win so they can get a trophy or achievement. I can't agree with Tsubaki being a pet-peeve, she is awesome! (I will concede that her hat is kind of dumb though)
  2. Most of the really good players I run into are alright, the worst that happens is they leave after 3 or 4 matches. I can't really fault them for that if I'm not able to present them with any sort of challenge. More than a few have been willing to play with me for long sets, sometimes for a couple hours straight and I've gotten a decent amount of feedback/advice in different games. I've found that most of the obnoxious, or as you say mean-spirited players are more on a intermediate level, think they know a lot more than they do and tend to be really arrogant about it. And they do get pretty annoying. I find it irritating when that type of player immediately picks the character I just played to "show me how it's done", though most of the time when people do that they don't know how it's done.
  3. Naoto's DP is really annoying, the whole fight can be annoying and tedious most of the time. I think I just need more practice dealing with Chie when she gets in, I have a rough time with that sometimes. I can see why both of you would say it's not that bad though. I'm not sure why but Shadow Labrys is one of the match ups I like to play with Liz the most, maybe that's why I don't mind it as much as some of the others. It does get pretty difficult with ones that are adept at coordinating their attacks and the persona attacks. An update that would give Liz a better chance against her worst match ups would be nice, especially since it seems like every other person that plays P4A uses Yu or Yosuke. The fairly small amount of characters in this game really makes having that many bad match ups even worse. While an update would be nice I also really hope we eventually get a sequel, they did seem to allude to that in the story. I would think they would most likely not leave Liz as she is now in a sequel either.
  4. Yeah, I think so also. I said I have almost as much trouble with Teddie as that trio, TD said he isn't as hard as them and a few others so I was wondering who the few others were that fall between Teddie and Yu/Mitsuru/Yosuke. Naoto, Aigis, and Chie all seem pretty tough to me also, I'm not sure I'd put them above him in difficulty though. The match ups that seem easiest for her to handle are Kanji and both of the Labrys. Of course that's just based on my experience so far and I'm at best mediocre.
  5. Hmm, well a fair amount of the problems I have are probably just me. I have trouble getting that space to think most of the time, it is usually difficult for me to mount an offense against him. At least if you want to go for Liz's IK he is one of the easier characters to try and land it on. What others do you think are worse for Liz than Teddie?
  6. How bad is the Teddie match up? I'm just curious what the opinion is because right now I have nearly as much trouble with him as with those three, and I'm wondering how much of it is just me.
  7. One of Zangief's alternate costumes is Haggar's, that's enough Haggar for me anyway. I would have really liked to see Karin be one of the new characters though.
  8. Well, more balanced is definitely a plus, MK9 had some really lopsided matchups, the character design seemed really haphazard with little thought toward balance. I don't think the general game mechanics helped either, among other problems the meter system wasn't really a well designed thing. Did Injustice do a good job with the stage elements you can use to damage the opponent? That is one of the main things I am skeptical about. I don't really like the idea of two life bars either. What about the character powers, how well did NRS handle them?
  9. That's hard to believe, the female faces in MK9 are atrocities. Kitana has more of square masculine jawline than Johnny Cage. I haven't played Injustice but it doesn't look like NRS has managed to do any better, WW looks terrible. How is Injustice anyway? Worth trying out? I'm mildly curious, but it doesn't really look that great. Is it at least an improvement over MK9?
  10. I'm playing her on pad right now, it seems like a manageable task to me.
  11. Thanks, anytime 5C is listed for combos you always let both hits connect right? I don't recall seeing any with one hit, but I noticed it's sometimes put down as 5C(2). The impression I've gotten from playing with her the little bit that I have is, like you said, you really need to make the most of your opportunities for damage as they can be hard to get. Though I'm sure some of that's just me. Nice tutorial video, would I be correct in assuming that anytime you omitted a directional input for 236D I would just follow the character specific method and when a direction is indicated it's what you need to get the follow up on all characters? I imagine it's going to take me some time to get the D Garu combos down.
  12. Hello, I just started playing this game and Elizabeth is one of the characters I'm trying to learn so I thought I would see if I could get recommendations for a couple of good bnb combos to start with, maybe a couple that have a good balance between damage and ease of execution. Should I just stick with learning the ones in the wiki for now? I was also wondering how useful are Elizabeth's combos with OMB, is it really worth sacrificing your burst for some extra damage? It seems like they would only be worth attempting in the final round if the opponent has no burst themselves.
