Location: Game PAD, Inc. 6727 Bay Parkway Brooklyn, NY 11204 Phone: 718-837-6604 So yeah, sick of being a side event? An afterthought? Subject to dumbass seeding playing the guy who lives 2 blocks away first round? Fuck that shit, me and Biscuits are taking over. This tournament WILL NOT be run using Tonamento. Because we are using competent software that doesn’t depend on an internet connection, in the unlikely event a mistake is made, we can fix it. You will also NOT play your friend in the first round, because if our random seeding does this, we can fix it. This tournament is NOT a side event to SSFIV. This community is the top priority, and the only community that is attending. Thus, this tournament will be run as efficiently as our resources allow. This tournament is looking to be made into a potential bi-weekly series but depends on your attendance and support. Games BBCS 2v2 starts at 2:00 ($5 per person, $10 total) (PS3) GG XX AC 2v2 starts at 4:00 ($5 per person, $10 total) (PS2) In addition Venue fee $5 – goes to Gamepad to hosting, TO’s are volunteering. Pre-tournament and on TVs that aren't being used for the tournament casuals are cool. Just pay venue fee to do so. Venue opens at 12. Supplying extra copies of the games is cheap and effortless, and helps these tournaments so much, Game Pad has the consoles and TVs we need, though more are appreciated, especially if you play Makoto/Mu. Gamepad has house sticks, don't worry 360 players. BBCS 2v2 2 out of 3 rounds. The teams format is the same that SBO is using. “2v2 is done “waseda style”, meaning that each team’s person A plays, then regardless of the winner, each team’s person B plays. After that, both players on the same team won, that team advances, and the other team loses. If one player won on one team, and another won on the other team, then the two players who won fight each other, and the winner of that advances” - Heartnana Double Elimination. Characters used must be registered beforehand – no changing characters mid tournament. The same character cannot be used by both teammates. GGXXAC 2v2 2 out of 3 rounds. Double elimination. 2 out of 3 rounds. Yes I know that it's 3 weeks. Jewish holidays the venue actually getting used for other things. I plan at least two tournaments per month though as long as we get attendance. As of now, streaming will be handled by this tournament by Sp00ky of Team Sp00ky. Much thanks to him helping to bring exposure to these games, so make his time and effort worth it. LINK TO STREAM: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/teamspooky http://shoryuken.com/content/10-ways-help-your-local-fighting-game-community-1876/ -> a great article on how you can help continue to make these tournaments the best they can be. Just take 2 minutes to read it. 1st one went pretty well, 7 teams in both games, around 22 unique players. Most of the people who care in NY showed up, so now I look across to NJ to increase attendance. Get fucking hype, and show everyone that people actually do play these games.

[CS1-CSE] Road to Ikaruga - The Bang Social thread - Do you even 3c?

I can't be responsible to what happens to you for saying this. Just so you know. -

I like Steel Rain vs. Tager Look at me at neutral vs. Tager with a full sparkbolt charge. He like the predictable Tager player he throws out after 3 seconds and WHY DID IT PASS STRAIGHT THROUGH BANG? -
Thank you for that statement. At least one person in the world doesn't think I main Chipp cause I main Bang -_-.

I may be joining that train. It's simple to take me off though. Give Bang some other kind of cool tool/thingy. Like how Nu got slow field DP and teleport dash attack, Arakune got MEGABEE, and Carl got a projectile and depth. Not like Rachel got a wheel chair and shit super. Can't really stand playing a character who is straight nerfed with no redeeming qualities to it really. High or low tier. Oh and as for damage output, I believe individual Bang moves were more damaging in CT. But combos were 6-8ish hits rather than 13. -

*looks at Kenneth, Jan, and Zidane*. NAH. -
The irony in this is AMAZING

Ummm because BB is BB, you can't always expect a meaty attack to connect. That is, the opponent doesn't have to quick get up and can tech to either side. Bang's 5a is basically a reversal btw.

Stealing that bumper set up. This game bores me so much and 4 seal combos don't like me so I gotta make it interesting to play without talking to my opponent whole time and my play suffering cause of that too. -
I think he's coming off as dickish to you because he keeps trying repeat himself and bring a point across when he knows he is right and other people keep disagreeing. It's a frustrating thing coming from one with experience, and I'm not referring to anything on dustloop or even the internet here.
-
I'm not gonna stay around and argue. If I do the words I use will likely get this star next to my name removed at this point. Just know that for all the haters and arguers, unless you're magically as good as Japanese or among the 5 or so best players in America, you'd get shit on by Zidane in a match. I'm also going to ignore the obligatory response of being better in game doesn't make you know it better.
-
I see 5b thrown out randomly a lot more than those other 2 though.
-
Inferno Divider RC leads to some big damage though. If he has meter, you have to respect it. I'm really not here to help for online, but learn to IB 5b as stated earlier. The word is that he has not true blockstring if you do so.
-
Stance A unless IB'd is safe, and maybe safe if IB'd. If Level 2, is safe. 3c would be gatling to stance. Hazama can either through out overhead, wait for you to approach into a flash kick you PROBABLY can't punish, if you don't he exits the stance. But thing is, Hazama can basically choose what space to fight in 99% of the time. So a little mid range space issue is laughable to him. Who cares btw how many invincible frames Jyaku has? Unless you're gonna die, it always trades in Hazama's favor and he gets 5k and builds his meter back while you sit there wishing you could bang your head into a wall.... ....or burst, and he still gets what, 3kish off of that?

Faust and Testa were Drunken Chicken and either Karl Kablisk or Alzarath respectively. Taller guy was Karl, guy who looks like a soul singer is Alz. Can't seem to edit the thread title? Hmm weird, I'll try to fix that or at worst, make a new thread.
-
True enough. But when we were new and didn't understand something, we generally didn't try to argue close minded points of view against some of the best east coast players...
