Ummm I meant people go on the STREAM asking for SFIV. Those at the regular SFIV tournaments, a nice percentage of them (including TO's and most of the top players btw) know me. And we all know that the game is popular. Why do I need to over inflate the SSFIV tournament scene when people already complain about the price of entry, especially when they don't think they can win and cause competition between two different tournament series? (that's the harm) Why not just have a series for other games? The SSFIV players in NY tournaments aren't exactly 10 year olds who have no idea what other fighting games are. They play SF, that's nice.

Trust me when I say I'm not trying to be reclusive. I just think it's silly to be having more SSFIV tournaments when they're the #1 game attendance wise locally and nationally, have plenty of tournaments and players. I know most of the players and the TO's as well. I'm trying to expose these games more and I've probably had the most attendance at a regular tournament series that didn't have SSFIV in NY in forever.

I just want to speak for myself, TO of St1ckbug tournies, that because SSFIV is not in the tournaments does not mean I advocate hating SSFIV or it's community. It's not there because it doesn't need to be there. It gets 50+ on wednesday nights at the same venue routinely. In addition, many tournaments since last year in the area are IV+the game or 2 of the moment we feel like having. I wanted these games to not be on THE SIDE (but I guess GG has kinda taken over as the SFIV....but I try) but to be given the same level of attention.

So was this pretty much the first time since the thread started it hasn't been about Dacid? btw you wanna see good players that are bad people, there's someone else that people generally have in mind. And he's a lot easier to see then most people I know, you probably saw him at SB.....not by our choice.

Well you can come chill at the TO table and yell out matches and double click on the bracket for the winner...all it is really. Don't expect to paid either btw. The plan is for MB to finish before GG so those don't interfere with each other.

So, you have thousands of dollars being spent and put up for prizes, bringing in Japanese players, booking venues, getting equipment and setups for this major, where clearly the game 90% of the attendees, and 90% of the people that would watch the stream, would want to see SSFIV the most. Is it bad that GG got extremely minor exposure? Hell yes. Is it sad that BB couldn't even get in it's Grand Finals because people wanted to see t32 for SSFIV? Yeah. Is it Spooky's fault that this is the audience he's dealing with when....well I can't say for sure, but more than likely had in someway paid (whether it's for equipment, flight, lodging, or even a cup of coffee) wants to see SSFIV? When BB steam had less than 700 viewers, and freakin Marvel 2, a game that's pretty much dead for about 8 hours now had 5k? When BBCS is the supposed to be the big game of the anime/doujin whatever fighting game community? And that's not even the game people were demanding. Alternatively...for those of you that are challenged enough to not live on EC (:P), I run tournaments that do not have SSFIV. And when Spooky streams, people still ask for SSFIV.
