Honestly, Pot feels just ok, unless you're fighting Ramlethal (almost as stupid as ct-tager vs nu), Millia or a decent I-no. He is not as bad as me and some other people used to think.

Well i did read some novels years ago and Sol is stupidly overpowered a la Kenshiro, not even funny. Maybe ragna could seal him, like they did to Justice.

Looks like you just need to familiarize a little more with her normals and work on your hitconfirms. jP is not a good air to ground poke (even less against sol). jK is not a good air to ground poke either (unless you IAD jS > jK > ยทยทยท) Try to not use jH when you are directly above them, use j2H instead (it even allows silly crossups sometimes). You are allowing him to jump too much, scare players from jumping-in by using 6P, airgrab, Vertical Dolphins or even 6H sometimes. Work on your hitconfirms, you missed quite a a few. And lastly, always go for knockdown + oki setup.

I don't even have Xrd yet, but there's no particular trick for buffering charges, just do the inputs (before the charge) as fast as you can, that way you can start buffering charges way before an attack animation starts. For this one try some motion like 6 63[2] HS 8HS, delaying 8h a little bit.

Please do not become the new Allyofjustice. Objective criticism is fine, but things like "unplayable", "ps3 version looks like a pc game on lowest settings", "30fps", "oh god all japanese players are droping it" are literally your typical internet overreacting bullshit with baseless rumors included. The netcode is not as glorious as people expected, ps3 versiรณn doesn't look as good as ps4 version, there might be frame drops in 'quality mode' (60fps), these are facts, but there is no need to blow things out of proportions. -

And that's not were i think she is. Her only saving grace in Xrd is ensenga for guaranteed knockdown + slightly decent oki and set-ups thanks to beach ball and new applause mechanics. But in exchange she apparently lost her HIGH damage output + dizzy potential, and those were her bigger threats post #R. Basically feels like we're back to X days or #reload days but with less damage. Oh and i also fail to see multitude of Mays doing fine competitively.

Potemkin is looking way better now than before, but honestly, most of the time when you see a non FAB/Konsome Pot fighting against a good player, you know they will lose... i also think Axl, Slayer and May are weak. But off course in the end my judgement is based solely on the few videos i've seen, there might be a lot more going on behind the scenes in jap arcades.

Well, Xrd's damage output seems to be pretty fucked up overall (Right now i can't tell who is supposed to be a heavy hitter and who isn't). But yeah, May seems to be more oki/set-up oriented now. Really hope to see her monster damage back instead of just filling the screen with stuffs. She is a light character and bounces a lot (Regarding in-game weight).

huh and where was i talking about character specific combos? Even if he happen to have character specific combos for everyone in the cast, in the end everyone would be doing the same character-specific optimal combos, get it?. True, i used the wrong words. Combos are my main complaint. Yes, i'm openly saying they are boring to me, but i'm not trying to force my opinion on you or anyone else, and never implied something as ridiculous as trying to play Sol as a zoner. But oh well, in the end i play May, one of the most repetitive characters. -

Yes, i never said otherwise. And "optimal" leads to everybody-plays-exactly-the-same. Every Sol is almost the same to some extent, and if he happens to play differently then he is a yolo-badguy or just a troll-sol. Edit: you can already see the pattern in Xrd. -

In AC/ACR all he does is spam sidewinder loops, why? because despite having multiple combo routes, people will always go for the same boring optimal stuff. Kinda miss old times before the 'youtubeExplosion' when people actually developed their own playstyles and combo routes, now all you need to do is go and copy-paste the best playstyle, and if you don't do it then "omg you're playing your character wrong!!!". Maybe that's why I-no players want to be like Koichi, and if they can't get close to Koichi's style then they just give up, because "that's not how she is supposed to be played". It was ok until that last paragraph... but i guess this is not the place for that kind of discussion. -
Sol never looked like a 16yo to begin with. Now he just seems ridiculous and deformed to me, and not even cool-deformed like Pot. I kinda hate this 'SFIV-Muscles' tendency some games have taken. Why would you turn an already buff character like Clark or Sol into a stereoid freak is beyond me. Buuut, some people seem to like it.

Well, because here the people can finally complain/discuss about Sol's gigantic shoulders, Ky's ponytail or how much they love/hate Elphelt's cleavage i guess (Instead of doing it in the news-gameplay general).

Stun/dizzy -> IK gets the job done. Not sure about Xrd, since Xrd's stun seem to dissapear ridiculously fast.
