  1. With UNIEL releasing on PC, hopefully new people will try the game for the first time. Feel free to ask questions about the character and the game in general and I will do my best to answer any questions.
  2. Recently I was at Frosty Faustings 8, and played a good bit on stream. I ended up finishing 3rd. I'm going to post the archive here so that people can see what some good play might look like. Lots of Hyde vs Waldstein in the archive. My matches are at the 13 minute mark, 54 minute mark, and 1 hour and 15 minute mark.
  3. I do believe Hyde can fight anyone in the cast on even footing. Regarding Gordeau, Merkava, and Waldstein specifically, you'll want to practice shielding and retaliating with 22A. 22A is 11 frames, and goes quite far. Hyde may not have big normals like those characters, but with 22A, he has a legitimate way to make them think twice about just doing Gord 5C/mortal slide or other big normals.
  4. Thank you! Just a lot of stubbornness and some hard work. We talk about all things Hyde in the chat, so feel free to ask any questions. Here is a newer link for the Discord chat since the old one expired. https://discord.gg/0ePpr7jotPc8utSC
  5. Recently, someone suggested Discord as a chat alternative for Skype. So far it's really great and we talk about Hyde stuff if you're into that sort of thing. Here is the link for the new Hydeout. https://discord.gg/0ePpr7jotPb8t6rx (Expires in 24 Hours)
  6. I just checked the dustloop wiki and there is no frame data listed for Lambda. Not sure if this was known, or if someone just forgot. I'd love to see exact numbers on her moves if possible.
  7. I'm definitely really late to the party here, but I watched a lot of high level matches in offstream top 16 at Evo, and was really inspired to try again with Naoto and Persona. I know 2.0 is out there and will come to the states eventually (I hope). I just wanted to introduce myself and find out where to learn Naoto/Persona basics. I am familiar with the OS metagame, so I guess I'm mainly looking for Naoto resources, but anything is good really.
  8. Thanks for the assist Xavier. Also, my stream matches from Evo are up. Would anyone be interested in me doing a retrospective analysis of them?
  9. More Satomaru footage! Seems like Rion is playing Seth for now, so we get lots of Satomaru matches instead. There's also another hyde earlier in the video that was doing some interesting things. He was playing the yellow color with the blue sword. If anyone could help me identify him, that would be great. Anyway, enjoy:
  10. I probably should have done this earlier, but I was distracted by Evo. Satomaru Hyde (the #2 ranked Hyde in UNIEL) posted an Evernote document of combos. I unfortunately cannot read Japanese, so if someone could translate it, that would be super cool. https://www.evernote.com/shard/s590/sh/c087a7ca-c8b0-4c91-a7db-0d87185c4a2d/dfd6398a5067f26f65a4a91635433a07
  11. Regarding the dash 3B in the corner, I had trouble with this for the longest time. UNIEL is nice in the fact that it lets you do directional normals from a dash with no delay. This allows you to do 66 then move to 3 and still hold the run. What works for me personally is running almost all the way into the corner before hitting 3B. You're not trying to hit them with the point of the sword, more like the middle of it. Granted this timing will take some getting used to, but see if it works for you. Also I think this is going to be easier in UNIST from the loketest changes I read, but I won't know for sure until we have the game stateside.
  12. Not yet, I'm sure we'll have the translations of the changes within the week though. Also, Hyde is HELLA SEXY.
  13. If anybody is going to be at Evo, let me know so we can talk Hyde or whatever. Just hit me up on twitter @mikeloafer
  14. As far as 236A> 236A Dash C is concerned, just practice it until you get it. You'll want to do your dash after hyde gets pushed back a little bit from the fireball. Don't do the second combo ever. It's not practical and you can get more damage doing easier combos. I have a primer earlier in the thread that can answer a lot of the questions you may have about Hyde.
  15. Dammit Grover. As far as matchups go, Merkava, Vatista, Carmine, and Yuzuriha give Hyde the most trouble IMO. Working on a detailed writeup for matchups, so hopefully that will be up soon.
