  1. I think the reason they probably gave him 2 persona cards is because of Koro. Theres no reason for him to have a lot of persona cards if he technically already has a "persona" he can use that just has a meter instead.
  2. Oh man Im really excited for Kenomaru. I was so worried about his playstyle but now that I see he has a Koro meter I feel much happier. Yukari is really going to struggle for that second spot in my group.
  3. I'd much prefer if they just did what they did with Amane and put his chains on CD for a short period of time.
  4. The only way I could see them fitting Koro into P4U is if they did like..Koro/Ken. Kind of like the idea of Dojima+Nanako.
  5. Why are people wanting Koro in this game? His hitbox would be tiny as hell. The same reason that Jubei isnt in BB.
  6. So I've been implimenting 3C > 236D~A more for block setups. At that point I dont know what to do. I've been going for 5D just because it chalks up a good amount of drill meter and a lot of people forget to go for barrier till last second leaving them with a good amount of chip already. I've been trying to set up 6Ds but a lot of the time they end up just enough behind the opponent to not connect or I'll take too long to move and wont get a 6D out at all and end up at a bad spot. What are some good ways to go in for this kind of thing? Guard crush perhaps?
  7. Now im pretty new to using Amane myself but from what I've learned you just need to find small gaps in their blockstrings and fabhop our jump out. Attempting to hit back will just ending up with you stuck in a counter-hit string and make you take on even more damage at a time. To be quite honest any time I end up in the corner I am stuck in the same boat unless I have 50 meter. Amane really doesnt have any good defensive options once he's stuck there. Watching a good chunk of online play too most of them wait until they see the blockstring has finished and jump and or fabhop out of there and to for a j.B or j.2b to make sure their move out of the corner is at least somewhat safe. I may just be spewing nonsense though, I'd love to hear what others have to say too cause being in the corner with Amane sucks. I try my best to just avoid the corners especially against Hazmas and Noels.
  8. Oh wow those were some amazing matches. Hariken gets so much drill level now holyshit, im so excited for this patch ahhh.
  9. Okay how do I even do this match up? Literally every single Nu I've fought online now has bodied the hell out of me. Honestly every time I fight im stuck standing there trying to figure out what to do. I feel like my options are so limited that I cant do anything. I try going for 2Cs when she tries throwing out Ds but then I get smacked by the overhead one and get stuck into a myriad of different Ds and then am stuck back at neutral with absolutely no way to get around her. Any help on this MU would be greatly appreciated, shes loved online more than I expected.
  10. Oh wow yeah that actually really works awesomely. Even if they block it it still puts you at an advantage with that +8 on block. Sorry I've ben asking a lot of questions, I really do want to learn amane and I almost always online just barely lose to things that I could avoid if I was a bit calmer. I kind of panic once I hit half health with Amane and dont know what to do at that point and have been very hesitent to use meter at all with him. Half of my matches I dont even use it because I dont know wether to save it or spend it on RCs when I musclememory a Raibu at the end of a blockstring. One last question [hopefully for now]. What is a good setup for Hariken and A/B/C follow ups? I've been doing things like..5B > 2B > 3C >236D~A and it seems to work on Oki. Late rolling out leaves you safe if they roll forward, you'll just have to know when to bait them if they roll back and followup with a B instead.
  11. Oh frick I was tired when I posted that. I actually meant j.2b. When I use it the hitbox always seems to change. Theres been times where I've been standing right infront of them and it hits and sometimes I have to be literally over top of them for it to hit. Its a very odd move but very good for ambiguous crossups. I've been doing 236A > j.2b > 214A > j.5b > j.5A > j4A and then j.2B occasionally when they air tech, its been working on some people so far. Not sure if its really worth the damage though!
  12. Just another quick question, is there any images of Amane's Hitboxes? I wanna know the hitbox on j.2C cause I keep magically hitting the opponent even though im really not on them. The Dustloop Wiki's images for all of them are 404'd >:
  13. From what I've read of the update not much of his play style is actually going to change. Hes simply getting a few much needed buffs. So I would pick him up and learn what needs to be known then change up your style some accordingly when the patch comes out. Thats what Im doing at least.
  14. Im starting to understand his C combos a little more. I'm learning that anytime I'm on ground its safer to 2C since, yeah, it has better combos or at least better damage outputs rather than trying for 5Cs into Zettous and having to flail my fingers about in an attempt to follow up from the stagger. I've been trying to implement Hariken more into my neutral game after Raibu followups. I've been conditioning some online players with it sometimes I'll throw out an A/B/C follow up and othertimes I'll just drill charge while they wait for it to come out. I did the challenge mode combos again earlier today too and yeah C combos make a lot more sense to me now huehue. My friends still refuse to play with me though :| I feel like Amane is just one of those characters who can be very good but will usually end up falling flat if they arent super careful. It seems like you gotta put in a lot of effort to get very little back from it, but thats okay. Hes still fun. Wish he'd get a slight health boost but I dont assume thats going to be happening. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ When is the next patch coming out btw?
  15. So Drill options are being buffed in this current patch? Awesome! Just got my ass handed to me by a Hazma for a good 20 matches. Only won 2-3 of them. Im still really trying to figure out combos with Amane, most of the time I catch with Cs but can never really follow up or only get the secondary hit leaving me with no time to actualy follow up. Guess I just need to dig into his combos some more or something. Playing him his defninitely a challenge but im not giving up.
  16. Its not so much making it connect but its a stalling setup. While they start to oki I set up the 236D~A/B/C and then dash in to set up a 6D slightly behind them to get them stuck in a side by side drill and once the 236D drill stops I jump out I do this simply for drill boosting or to drain some barrier. I know its really not that practical but they fall for it 70% of the time. I do agree though, once the setups are figured out its hard easy to get past them and then trying to mixup with Amane can be a pain. What is a good way to set up for a lv 2 drill by the by? I've been doing 5B > 2B > 5D and wait for them to drop and 236A/B into J.5D but it doesnt seem to rack up any meter at all and occasionally I get smacked out of my Jumping attempts. :S
  17. Hopefully this fits here, if not I apologize. Do people online think Amane is broken? Quite a few of my friends wont play with me because I play Amane. They say all my options are easy and doing that much chip is bullshit. Half the time when Im fighting them Im trying my damndest to even get to a Lv.2 Drill and they still get pissy at me. They think 3C 236C into 236D[A,B,C] and occasionally 6Ding setups are absolutely broken and that Amane has stupid hitboxes. I apologize if this isnt relevant, its just flustering because everyone of my friends thinks that Amane is easy mode and that hes broken as hell when Im trying my best to do even the smallest amounts of damage. :|
  18. Newbie Teddie here (as in I literally picked him up today) and I've been having a helluva time setting up for items without Kintoki breaking in one way or another. IA Backdashing and throwing out an item and going in but a lot of the times he still gets smacked or I get smacked in the process. Is is sweep decent to be using or should I be a little more consious with my use of it? Sorry for the random questions but getting in with him today was really difficult and its bugging me that its hard for me to be aggressive. :S
  19. I actually got it to work after some much rigorous practice. I've been working on 236236A combos at mid screen a lot more because I have trouble doing anything at mid. Those corner combos though I just wasn't delaying the 236B after 5C long enough to catch every kick as mentioned in earlier posts so the opponent would get out because the last kick would always miss.
  20. I find it really hard to actually get in with 5B/2B whenever I try to get in with it I always get smacked first no matter who I'm fighting which really bugs me so I usually go in with 2As. I'll try to go in with Bs from now on and just get used to it lols. I also need to remember at midscreen to 2AB into 236236A so I can do some mid stuff. I always have trouble doing mid-screen combos No the combos dont turn yellow, I make it set to oki as soon as the AI can get out. Thanks for the tips, I'll try getting in with Bs more. :U
  21. Potentially silly question [newbie chie here] but anytime I do corner combos that come after SkullcrackerA I can never follow up. I usually do 2A > 5AA > 2B > 236A > 236A > 5B > 5C > 236B > 236A > 214C > 236236A once I hit Skullcracker and need to follow up with 5B the amount of stun they're in disappears. I can do it perfectly in training with instant oki and etc but online I get it off maybe 1-8 matches. Is this not an actual working combo or am I doin something wrong? >:
  22. I'm still learning the timing when its safe to drop off traps with certain characters. Yosuke is one of the few that I'm still having lots of trouble with. I will definitely try sticking with only C traps because of the Dash. I need to remember if I have a health lead theres no reason for me to be going in and trying to assault yosuke in the face like a moron. I'll try to keep to being passive and dropping traps and just getting in when I can, really need to learn to use 5B over 5A when I have an option to get in, though. :| I'll check out those reads too, I'm sure they'd be even more helpful thanks Zeromus
  23. Homigod can I get some more recent info on this MU? I've been fighting a yosuke for a good halfhour now and I just cant seem to catch him. Anytime I lay C traps he speeds on through them. I honestly dont know how to follow up afterward either, sometimes he'll attempt for moonsault which I counter with aerial grabs but that isn't really a reliable tactic. Using my shots was almost completely pointless, I did condition him to try not dashing in so often but he would just respond with air dashes or gliding. :S Help a noobie out?
