The Replay Theater theme came from Overture, which was one of Daisuke's more varied and bigger budget (if overproduced IMHO) soundtracks.

Say, what if in order to keep Sin's Gear nature hidden (and to avoid questions about a missing eye in long-term), Ky asked Faust to surgically switch their left eyes with each other? Ky might have gotten his Gear powers from the left eye over the years.

Okay, now that I heard Ram's voice, I have to ask something that was bothering me for the while: Japan's way for making emotionless/expressionless girls is to simply use the naturally softest voice possible and simply keep withing that range, while the American/English way is to try to make it sound as intentionally artificial and/or bored as possible. Why is there such a difference?

I feel stupid for not noticing something so obvious, but Elphelt looks like an original Valentine from Overture.

Doesn't bother me, because the real life is even weirder. Many years ago I saw on TV a family of three, a burly circus Strong Man and his wife and daughter, and he was not a main attraction, it was his scrawny 9-to-11 year old daughter who could hold both her parents up, with extra weights. Compared to that an 18 year old May lifting an anchor is nothing special.

I was under the impression that Jam claiming the bounty and Johnny adopting Dizzy into the crew, while not related to each other by themselves, were both arranged by Ky to protect Dizzy from the bounty hunters. Probably a fanon that just makes sense.

How about using the actual Ishiwatari art?: He looks way older than 16.

Nothing new; On another note, TGS begins exactly next month, so lets hope ARC will give us some new info there.

CP is a latest addition to the established, relatively risk-free cashcow, and it took roughly 1 year and a half to get that many new characters. P4A2U is an update to a successful fighter spin-off of the more popular game in the more popular genre and is funded by Atlus, so ARC have more cash to spend, and are under stricter obligation to release stuff on time. Xrd is an effectively a reboot of the franchise that was on the backburner, using development methods that according to those articles, while having very lucrative long-term benefits for the small studio like Arc, is a bitch to do in short-term, and for all intents and purposes a gamble to see if it works.

I hope that she will have guns, so that we will have another obvious reference to Guns 'n Roses along with Axl.

Since Xrd is 3D, the content that ended up on the cutting room floor (and since Xrd is ARC's second experiment on 2D-like 3D after Battle Fantasia, I expect a lot stuff were made just to see if it works or not and how and why) are more reusable, so the EX characters might be made of out of that without spending more time than needed making stuff just for them.

Yeah, Team Ninja tried the Netherrealm route with DOA5 story mode, and it turned out as a disorganized mess of barely connected mini-stories with too many loose, unexplained ends. The reason MK9 story mode worked because it had a crutch of it being in part a retelling of MK1-3, where the fans with prior knowledge of MK lore can reach logical conclusions on things that were glossed over or not explained.

That is a lot of forced perspective going on to make it feel 2D. Also, is that I-no's XX stage in the right corner?

Seems it will not be that unusual in the future now that Tekken 7 will be using Unreal Engine 4. Speaking of UE4, is there is any advantage for ARC to upgrade to it sooner rather than later?

Why Xrd doesn't have more people working on it? Like it or not, GG had taken hits to its reputation, and thus its perceived ability of sell, due to the de facto failure of Overture, the rights problems with SEGA and the series being in the Capcom Sequel Stagnation phase. If Arc was to put all their eggs into one basket and it didn't pay off, not even BB profits would pull them out of this mess. And Xrd's development has taken a few years already, and with the current gamedev costs only the most successful of AAA franchises like GTA can afford to take years of development. So I think that we are lucky that there is a new GG in the first place, reduced roster or no.

I think that while Alt-Costumes are now a possibility, it won't a relatively easy thing to do like in other games due to many things they do to make it look 2D, so that at least with Order-Sol Arc might go "We already put so much effort into this alt-costume, might as well make a separate character while we are at it." And if they are planning to do any kind of serious coverage of the Crusades other than Justice's fight with Sol that got her sealed as a part of the recap, they kinda need the pre-fireseal Order-Sol. Speaking of the Crusades and Order-Sol, it would be nice if they adapted the XX Drama CD Red and Black into the story mode.

And I ask again, where does it says that Xrd will only have 15 chars for home release? The wording on the article says that Xrd currently has 15 chars (which, as was noted, either was a typo or an unintentional confirmation of Sin), not that it will have 15 chars for consoles.

Where does it says that the console release will only have 15 chars? They only saying that Xrd currently has 15 chars, which could be a typo since there are actually only 14, or n.15 could be Sin.
