  1. I -think- that depends on A+D timing? I was doing 236B > 236B > 214B+D and sometimes I find myself in stance after 214B+D sometimes not... Still curious whether this D bonus attack mechanic was intentional from the start or how it even works game engine wise.
  2. I've been struggling with some of her combos :v Probably more just me not being that familiar with fighting games + learning stick though... Still having fun though, even though I've been getting bodied terribly online. Definitely sticking with Yuzu I've been using palette #2, looks like Kanzaki Kaori from Index lol
  3. Yes if you input 236B~A > 214A/B normally it will not work. Stance allows you to use each button once regardless of which attack you perform. However if you use the D input trick kazukifafner mentioned then it should work, so it would look like 236B~A > 214B+D with the D being slightly delayed EDIT: i'm too slow haha and missed that slide holding C would let you do the sequence as well
  4. Okie just tested this. Dash C doesn't take up stance C input, also can't hold C after 66C ends to enter stance. So it's possible to go j.236AB > 421C. Tested 66C > j.236AB > 421C on standing opponent. Probably just not a good idea though, since if it ends near a corner they will wall bounce and you end up teleporting into the corner. Not sure if the same thing happens if the opponent is in the air. But probably best to just do j.214 A or B as you listed, since they should work in all situations and put you right beside the opponent
  5. Not 100% on this, but I think it's because Chain Shift takes you out of Vorpal state so you lose the 10% bonus damage.
  6. Just to be sure, with j.236AB you actually mean j.236A > j.236B right? Also for the enders, isn't it possible to just go j.236AB > 421C for positioning? For combos that don't require holding C at least. Didn't expect to be playing yuzu but having so much fun now haha but the execution might be beyond me :x
  7. HK Psn blog just updated http://blog.asia.playstation.com/community/hk/en/playstation_network/playstation_store/blog/2014/07/22/whats-on-psn-this-week--22-july UNIEL will be on the store for HK$398 which is about 51 USD I think. Same release date.
  8. I'm hoping this is specifically talking about localization for the rest of Asia in chinese/english and that the japanese version of the game will be on hk psn on the same day as japanese psn... Pretty sure BBCP was on both regions PSN on the japanese release date.
  9. so hyped for this game does anyone know if it'll be on the asia/hk psn as well? Couldn't find any info on that, don't feel like making yet another psn account :<
  10. Wow didn't know about needing to delay the second A after 66 > 5AAA. I can do it much more consistently now, thanks. Seems like it's possible to just mash 5AAAA after the dash if the dash is just right, but the window is pretty tight. Either that or I was subconsciously delaying it anyway haha Ok, I'll work on the green to red axe combos first. Also is it worth practicing 236236C after aerial guillotine or is it just not worth the effort? I understand the timing is pretty tight if the opponent isn't positioned in the right spot during j.C > j.214B and D super is easier to land in all cases.

    New blood

Thanks for all the replies! I think I have a better idea how to improve my game now. That's definitely useful =) Well I guess I'm going back to the time machinetraining mode
  12. New Labrys player here. Any recommended combos a new player should learn? Also I've been trying out some stuff from the combo thread and certain moves just don't seem to connect. In particular, I'm having trouble with this Yellow Axe combo: 5A > 5B > 236A > 6~A > 66 > 5AAA > 214B Can't get the 214B at the end to connect. Not sure if I'm just not getting the timing right or if the Axe level actually needs to increase to red towards the end for the 214B to connect. Thus setting the Axe to Yellow in training mode means it'll never connect? If this is the case is it also true for the rest of the combos listed under a particular color? Do I always need to set it such that the Axe Gauge will still increase in Training Mode?

    New blood

Hey all, I'm just another new player wanting to get at least somewhat competent at fighting games haha Well ok "new" is not quite accurate, I have some experience but it's really quite limited. I played a bit of Meltyblood Re-Act way back when it came out on PC, mostly just Training Mode/Arcade/vs AI (and on keyboard no less haha), but never really put much time into it. Later on I picked up Blazblue because I liked its aesthetics and I did still have an interest in fighting games. But again, never really spent enough time with it. Moved on to playing Starcraft 2 and now mainly League of Legends. Somehow ended up getting Persona 4 Arena. I still really like fighting games and also enjoy watching them regardless of whether I actually play said games or not. And so I finally made an account here in an attempt to learn and hopefully actually get good at this, instead of just coming here to look for some combos for me to do on training mode dummy haha This seems like a good time to learn the basics, with Chrono Phantasma coming out soon-ish I think? Probably still a long time off but that's just more time for me to learn the basics I guess. Also Under Night In-Birth looks interesting although that's got to be one of the weirder game titles out there. Mostly playing Persona right now, not sure if I should focus on one game or try to mess around in BBCSE as well. Played my first matches online today in P4A, went 4W 16L lol, was laggy on and off but had fun and managed to pick up quite a bit of experience. I'd like to think I have at least some idea of how to pick apart my gameplay and look for areas to improve on as I do that a lot for Starcraft 2. But it seems like there's also just a lot of bad habits involved, mostly the usual suspects like panic button mashing, falling back on auto combo when I actually get a hit in even though I spent quite a bit of time in Training mode practicing basic BnBs, pressing buttons when I really shouldn't be, constantly trying to use dash to gap close etc. Some questions I have right now: Should I be focusing on getting rid of those bad habits first before trying too hard to fix other issues? Also is there a "recommended order" to work on mechanics/fundamentals or just something that must absolutely be learned before anything else? Is there a general way to deal with people that keep away and spam projectiles or does it really depend on the characters and the moves they have? I have a hard time dealing with Naoto/Yukiko/Teddie spamming bullets/traps/fire/fans/random items, some guide lines would be nice before getting into character specific solutions. Right now I feel like I'd rather fight rush down characters like Chie because I'd have a chance to score a hit between blocking rather than still having to try and close the distance after blocking. Oh, and also if a projectile comes from behind me which direction do I have to push to block? How necessary is it to learn the properties of each individual move for my main and for other characters? I'd assume it could be quite useful at higher level of play, but how often do people actually think about those in a middle of a round? Is it correct to assume it's not that important for me right now to learn advanced combos and it's more important to just know how to actually get a hit in? Of the games I actually won it felt more like I just managed to block more of the other guys stuff and then get a few hits in after that rather than actively trying to land my combos. Oh and random supers haha although some weren't that random to me, must have seemed random to the other guy I think there were a few more questions, but they slipped my mind lol so that's all for now =) Oh I'm trying to learn Labrys right now but Shadow Labrys and Aigis also seem fun so I'll probably try them out before settling on one for a main.
