How I've missed this place

Heads up: There is a new arcade in town called Dreamonoids off of Guadalupe St. that does Anime Nights on Saturdays with their game selection and shows they have up on their TVs. I haven't been able to check out the place just yet, but I will at some point, and I want everyone to try to support all the arcades that are popping up now!

Late GGs to the people that came out on Sunday to play CPEX. I was happy to see some new faces that I haven't seen before, so I hope that this continues, even if it grows just an inch.
-
Not sure if I would be able to with the way the schedules are around the house.

Praise zettai! I really sense the change people get caught in some awkward situations where they barrier too much and get frame trapped, or having to sit through 5A/2A x 6 while waiting for the high/low/throw to come. Getting the attack level change to her 5A makes it even sweeter to confirm things after you catch them.

Hold off on it for now, since the scene here is pretty sporadic, and the shop is doing this mainly to gauge the turnouts here for the local players. If it's consistent enough, then maybe it'll be fruitful to come out with a few people. Ultra Arcade on the northside hosts an Anime FG night on Tuesdays mainly, but people do come out on the weekends to play.

Told as many people as I could about it, so hopefully the turnout will be good. Even if we get a ton of new people, it'll give us a chance to see how many will want to learn.
-
Same here, just to check out if there will be a tournament and some people to play.
-
I might come and check it out tonight if all goes well. Playing some people at Anime Matsuri sort of lit a small fire inside to play again.

Heads up, there's a mini-convention going on Saturday (March 21) at Our Lady of the Lake University called Mizuumi-con. It's a one-day anime convention that also has a game room, so if any of you are interested in that, you can check it out and see if they have anything like BB, GG, or any of the other ArcSys/anime games there.
-
Possibly if people play it like mad and practice a lot.

We weren't able to go yesterday. Been tough trying to make it out.

That's what we'd want, but the problem is getting in that range to begin with since the cast either has projectiles or longer normals than we do that can call out our jump/assault advances. I agree with everyone who has said that her game does rely on patience and positioning to look for habits and mistakes. I think in that regard, she's a lot more reliant on opportunities more so than the other characters. Also, her execution is one of the more lenient ones in the game, imo. Most of the time, her combos can be pieced together in the laucher > aerial combo > 214B ender. Only things that would be tough are some that require spacing from 236 combos, and a few timely links in some extensions.

Looking forward to Corona Upper-style whiffs for the first couple of days or weeks of playing her. Have to get that out of the system at the very least.
