It doesn't since Hakumen just destroys it when he pokes it. I don't think he'd be able to absorb Kokonoe's Beam Distortion because of multiple hits or different property on it.

I would like a Hazama/Terumi system voice. Instead of Counter he just yells YOWEEHEH.

Relius probably never went as far into the boundary as Carmine. From what I remember, Carmine almost reached the center which is why he was turned into Arakune. Relius fell into the boundary during his experiments but didn't get turn into a blob, but instead his vision was distorted to see souls. In response to TD, it's not the mask that lets him see souls. When Relius woke up in the field after going through the boundary, his eye sight was already different. During that scene, to me it sounded like he was actually blind and can only see other's souls. None the less, there is something special about his eyes which he keeps hidden behind that mask.

I always thought the reason Relius wore the mask is because his eyes were seriously fucked up from his travel through the boundary. It's been shown that he can physically see the souls of others, as demonstrated in Makoto's bad end and when he temporary gave the ability to Carl.

That's his 6D. That's pretty funny that he does 1337 damage with one move. I also noticed that it looks like counter hit 6C staggers them instead of knocking them down. Allowing you to combo off of it easily.
