From BB game mechanics section... "...damage scaling: Damage in BB will actually scale down to zero, meaning if you do a combo long enough it will stop doing damage entirely no matter what you hit with. It will also stop giving you any Heat gauge for hitting. In practice this doesn't come up very often, but it sort of makes infinites pointless."

Thats what i ment but i dont have to dash in its a single step for the range so i just hold forward for another half a second, its not a shut down to that oki. FDing and then jumping would be a shutdown to it because it wont open you up to 5k 5hs oki that mashing would. wow didnt know he had 2 moves that basically act like DP, crazy. I'll use more low mix up.

MMMM cant wait to prove that one wrong dawn. *evil smile* yeah 5hs is meaty for anji not sure if it would beat 5hs (checks frame chart) Make sure if your gonna go for that, that it will atleast connect with me if im blocking because if you do it to far away it has alot of recovery time (21 vs my 8)(and my start up of 13) Id suggest 6s over your 5hs because of the recovery time, autogaurd high and jump cancelable. So something like 6s jump overhead jd for fake landing to bait my attempt at counter hit then what is it landing jhs into some combo shit... dont know your character that well just know that a low hitting jhs will turn into a combo if i eat it. - His JD can be answered by 5hs turning into an 80% combo. - Any chipp that likes to use jhs in their oki or zoning pressure, block the first IB the second and grab him or 5p2d fbhshd dolphin loop, though 5p has alot of proration it doesnt matter because he takes a shit ton of damage due to his bad def modifer (1.30). - Do not turtle, crossover teleport frc jd is ridiculously hard to block on reaction. If your gonna try to turtle do it in the air, as jumping any direction fucks up the range of his teleport, puts you out of reach and restricts him to a specific area until he lands. - Chipps like to jump in the air, let him this is when your best CH opportunities make themselves available with jhs and 5hs. - Don't fish for CH's on the ground, get a hit that links into 2d and do B&B or OHK. This match doesnt have to be difficult but his oki can be dangerous and VERY RANDOM. -Without tension his combos are shit so dont get frustrated. -If he uses air alphablade, jump for joy as risk vs reward its in your favor, try throwing out meaty moves like jhs that will get him into the habit of doing it(bad timed alpha blade will get CH woot). Since its only a kd if you get hit with it and if you can fd it with an empty jump when he does it land and combo, risk vs reward its really in your favor. - Be cautious when jumping in and recovering low, his 5p is a good aa. - Baiting most his long range aa like his EX with jump fd is good, if he jumps at you to airgrab jd changes your momentum/height enough to make his grab wiff and input 5hs which will get CH by jd, which is free for jhs jd (which could easily be 20%-30% right there). -When dodging his command throw do not simply jump but iad away as a good chip will land jump and air grab, even j2hs gets beat by this. I also dont recommend backdashing as the move has long range and is active for 12 frames. The good thing about IAD away is that your opponents mid is still in aggressive mode and will make sloopy ground to ground pokes or air to ground (woot chance at 5hs).

Axl match 4 shows interesting ch at 2:05, after overlooking frame data looks possible to punish axl's 6k wiff with 5hs on reaction (6k=47 frame to recover 5hs= 14frame till active). Its a strict reaction speed. Looks dubious on possiblity for same punish against axl's 5p (34) because of difference in frame recovery and extended hit box height that is given to may during 5hs may cause 2nd hit to interupt during startup 5hs frames. 663k still reliable against 5p wiff but would be interesting to check out the possiblities for 5hs CH on axl's 6k. After watching it several times (20ish) looks like 662d jackhammer might work though it might not due to a fast masher or wiffing it as the tip of the toe would be what your hitting with. I'd test this but no ps2 :'(!!!!! The great thing is that 2d jackhammer is totally hit confirmable (I'd say its equal or comparable to chung li's 2mk confirm into super.) Will edit 2morrow, have alot to contribute in how to block mix up successfully. Mix up Defense: You need to train yourself to block low and WATCH for the overheads as they are the longest startup frames in his oki. After some training 6p should be able to be blocked on pure reaction, guessing is not going to get you anywhere in this match up (it will work a few times but you need to be perfect.) 5d takes 29 frames and 6p takes 17. Another reason why i say u need to learn to block these on reaction is because they will throw 2k 6p at you and if you cant react to it your most likely going to eat it. His 5d mixup is punishable if you are watching for it (as long as he doesnt frc, he would have to anticipate as doing it on reaction imo is impossible (less then 10 frames) ). This is another reason why blocking low should be the default in this match you want him to try to whore out that 5d. Anyways SVDFB j.s land 2d FBHSHD etc. The timing for this is strict as is the the height you FB because you dont want it to hit him to early and the lateness of j.s (doing it almost as you land). The most annoying thing about testiment during your oki is that 6p combo wont work on his back dash. You can punish it with running with him and ohk or a late 2d into fbhd, the problems with this is that it either leaves you open to wake up grab or just blocking 2d which pretty much ends your oki. I'm looking to a late iad pressure to punish this backdash fucked up sprite testiment has but being that i dont have a ps2, it would be nice if someone could look into this for me. Of coarse having a hoop up solves this but also takes up tension in most cases so a non hoop alternative would be nice. BTW i disagree with doing 6hs svd in any combo when it can be replaced by simple B&B dolphin loop. This is just plainly on the difficulty of 6hs svd and tournament proration (the fact you will always play worse in tournaments then in casuals). Dropping a combo is a bigger risk then getting 4-5% more dmg on an already 60-70% combo. Also dont worry about hitting a big combo(ch) when hes at 35-40% testiment has no guts rating and only an average 1.00 def modifer so he will take big damage no matter what combo(B&B link) you hit him with at the end of a match (compared to Ba and Anji.) P.S. Jackhammer is safe to use when you ohk to close to the corner and he crosses over head during it. (i've never had it miss under that condition.)

DW is correct. J2hs is a bad idea, though its an answer to his 2k, you should be thanking the stars he doesnt realize 2s will own all your air to ground moves. If there is alot of room between you put a hoop out and use it to cover your ass. 5k, 5s, fbhd will cover your ass also and safetly allow you to put your sprites almost toe to toe, which is exactly where you want to spend this whole fight.

RK match was most impressive, Sol match was disappointing (do you have personal problems with that person? Feel like your a much better player then that.) ED/BA match was good. Stop using J RR frc to get in close when your enemy is concentrating on poking and jumping, when they are mobile you end up putting yourself close to mid with no advantage on your side because they either jump or start attacking you and you eat something. When you enemy is concentrating on blocking (doesnt even have to be oki but just a distant block string) crossing that barrier gives you the advantage because they are more worried about reacting to you attack then the movement of your sprite (unlike poking situation). Chip isnt especially hard just dont drop combos. The round only needs to last 2 combos, you should be able to get 5s 5hs 28s x2 and 2p 28s/28hs (whatever your preference) on each combo attempt. Dont drop them.

3k a bit more, use 5k ji 5s hshd frc iad more to get in closer to your opponent, remove 5s 2hs 28s from your memory, 5k 5s hoop should be seen atleast somewhat, your opponents dont have especially strong def abuse 5k ohk or just ohk as oki, use your hoops to control the zoning of the fight especially when hes almost a full length of screen from u. Those are my opinions. Well not my best vids but some of them have audio on it and thats pretty beast. First time posting any vids of myself period so try to watch atleast a few. yeah had to catch a bus back to nj, would of caught the 1am bus but i didnt want to walk 1 1/2 miles in the cold on the side of route 46 on a friday night, so left late enough that i could still get a ride. Alright so im going to deal with three things in this post. First things first, lemme help N with his combo. Are you sure that you are catching each character in the optimal distance/height position when doing the first dolphin loop because that begining position determines all the possibilities in the combo. I think this is probably your problem because i have never seen or done a s(f) during a dolphin loop rep. The only way i can imagine that happening is that you started from the wrong distance/height on the first dolphin loop. Second, i dont ever suggest doing 6hs, svd where it could be replaced with just svd into combo. It's 1,000x easier 10x more reliable and only like 5% less damage. Burst safe block string/setup? (what exactly is being set up? oki or baiting burst?) sure alot is possible you just have to stop gatling at the right time. However a burst safe combo, does not exist, atleast with any type of reliablility or universality that would make it worth while. Either you bait a burst and give them the ability to tech or you do a combo, there is no fucking inbetween. RR frc doesnt sound reliable because you really dont know what fucking side your going to be on to block because of the incredible velocity and the only real option it has in a combo is off a jumping move like jhs. But why would someone burst at that point in time because you would be just landing on the ground that point and could just duck the burst. 2p, 5p are not burst safe because these are used in combos where these moves are just buffers for SVD. The only burst safe combo i have ever known was if your combo jhs in it where it either air grabs them or continues the combo. There is no godlike burst safe combo. Either your psychic or your not and in which case you are psychic, say sorry scrub but i read your fucking mind. -edit lol realized i sound angry in this post but its just that i just woke up ^.^ <3 may players
