If you were raping everyone and felt content after 10 min, your competition wasn't that good, or you didn't let them adapt to you at all and dismissed them. And yes it was you out thinking them because they couldn't figure out how to get around your backdash cancel stuff. Playing to win is a basic fundamental thing about anything competitive. Winning feels great, especially against someone better then you. Also why are you bringing SF vs GG into this? I thought this childish notion of "GG players are better than SF" players died out. I really despise this mentality that if you use a low tier, it some how elevates you as a better player to someone using a high tier even if you lose. Why are you assuming if KBNova picked a Top tier char he would have rofl stomped everyone else? You play games for enjoyment and it just happens some enjoy the aspect of winning or playing a char that happens to be top tier. Nothing wrong with that and age shouldn't be a factor. If you want to play a lower tier because you like that char, go right ahead, but don't use that as a crutch as to why you lost... or especially how much better you are for winning with that char.

It's important to me because I make it a priority to attempt it if I have the meter lol. I've must have landed over 100 combo IK already. It's just too fun.

I think for GG that's usually the case. Character loyalty seems to be really prevelent in the GG series. My main was Bridget and I rocked him when he was Godlike(reload) to low tier (AC). But I can understand why people would like top tier chars. I mean in general people like to win, so when you compare Zato / Millia options to say Potemkin... which char would you enjoy playing? Someone with godlike oki pressure meterless, or a lumbering Giant that has to work to even get started? Um what I'm trying to say is that top tiers are usually up there because of their tools and options, which in turn make them generally more fun to play with. When I had a stick, I messed around with Eddie in AC, and holy shit did I feel strong as hell. It's a nice feeling to be able to put so much pressure and control two chars at once, without even using meter.

Is it just me or does crossplay have frame skipping issues? I've noticed with some people i get 2-3f delay but the game feels like it's running at 30fps. There isn't much input delay, but why is the game running so choppy? While others I can get 4-5f delay, but the game runs smooth like butter, but with input delay. I haven't really tested, but it feels like the framerate goes down when I'm playing against ps3 users(I'm a ps4 player).

I haven't been hit by one this past week and we're talking about over 200 matches. Generally you can kind of feel when an opponent wants to do a wakeup super by his playstyle during the match.

I think people just like to complain more than before about anything. Imagine the shitstorm that would happen if Slayer had his bite loop again lol.

Only insecure people get mad at women looking hot, especially if it's in a video game. Usually the only people who care are the white knights / feminist of internet, so that's why nobody cares about half naked guys with impossible body proportions.

Explanation of GG's General Strategy to a Complete Noob
burningvigor replied to Bossguy's topic in Beginner Mode
Fighting good players will allow to learn how the pace of GG works. It's the fastest way imo, but you must understand the mechanics of GG to fully learn quickly. Try to find someone whos good with decent connection and ask to run sets with you in a private room. I've had people do stuff like 30 game sets with me just to level up, and they improved a lot. -
No way. That outfit made her stand out and we already have a dress character(Elph). Plus if she wore a dress the whole time, we wouldn't see her awesome tail in battle as much. I feel her intro will probably be like GGX where she starts off in a dress then transforms.

I could care less either way. Actually I'm going to say I like it. Just the fact that it creates more options to think about at that point, and makes using supers somewhat more useful. Plus I always laugh a little when I get hit by one and see Chipps hp bar go from full to less than half. Hellfire indeed.

Not really surprised at all especially at the S tier list.

I was honestly expecting Sol to do Order-Sol IK after those wings sprouted. Lackluster fight.... except for the dustloop.

Jump Installing is a pain as a Chipp player without a stick(refuse to pay 150 to play gg with a stick) But it's kind of fun constantly JI your strings. Makes your hand busy and feel like your doing things fast like Chipp. Sucks when I screw it up and end up jumping, but I think its a mechanic that should stay. It's a fun quirk that I'm kind of glad it stayed.

PS3 vs PS4 GGXrd Graphics/Sound Quality Comparison?
burningvigor replied to HGhaleon's topic in Guilty Gear General
I really missed the blood effects of GG. It looked visually appealing and made moves look like it had more impact. First thing I noticed in AC was the lack of blood, instead they added stupid hit effects instead. I thought Xrd might add it back but nope. I remember hearing a story about a kid killing someone with a knife saying he was influenced by Samurai Shodown V special. So I thought they got rid of the blood because it wasn't a popular thing to have in arcades after that? But that doesn't make much sense when I think about it. Still salty that they got rid of the blood >_>. Also how SSV special never had a port with blood either after that incident lol. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tA9FmpXgHtY Thats the SSVsp fatalities for those wondering how violent it was. Not much really. -
I actually like how Xrd is more like reload in a sense. I didn't really like how much fluff was put into AC+R. Although I think the skill cap on some chars are way too low comparatively to before. Such as Millia and some what Chipp. But eh what can you do. I'm going to guess 1 hit Ensenga won't be as difficult once Johnny comes around.

Thats what my definition of auto pilot means. You're more focused on what you can do and want to / will do, you dont see the bigger picture. You should be also thinking about what options your opponent can do and what he has been doing. How much tension does he have, burst, does he jump a lot, does he throw all the time, what does he do on wakeup usually, how well does he anti air, how well he Instant blocks etc etc. The combo you do should just be a reaction when you do land the hit, it shouldn't be the focus of your game plan. Well thats what I think about when I play. Its more about how I'm going to land hits and get into my opponents head.- 24 replies

Really? I haven't played the story mode of XX in forever, but I remember there were a lot of tension with characters, to the point where they would kill each other or be killed. A lot of chars had dark back stories as well. I know for the most part a lot of it isn't canon but it gave a darker feel to the world compared to Xrd. I recall in one of Testament's ending, I think I-no killed Dizzy while she was under Johnnys care. He revoked humanity and killed Johnny, then he just went on a rampage killing any human he encountered. Xrd kinda has that happy friendship anime vibe going on that previous GG didn't.
-
Sol has his own problems and weakness. Raw power isn't one of them though. Not like GG had an amazing story anyway lol. Especially now since it feels like it's going the generic anime root(ala Blazblue). Prefered the darker tone the series had before Xrd.

Just play more and don't be afraid to experiment in a match. Eventually everything will come naturally. Prevent playing on auto pilot and try to read your opponents and their patterns. Guilty Gear has a ton of options compared to most fighters, so to get good you really need to think of the overall situation at hand. Every situation multiple outcomes should theorize in your head. Also, never feel like your situation is impossible. GG is so heavy on mixup, it only takes one knockdown to flip a match completely.- 24 replies

Ever tried to Blitz shield it? Or HS teleport behind her? or K teleport yrc etc. The move seems to not have as much priority as the previous guilty gear at least though Pretty sure you can punish it? not sure what you mean. After you block it you could S ji 2HS teleport S etc etc.
-
Maybe I'm just the weird one, but I always though Millia > Chipp especially in reload where Chipp I felt was one of the worst chars and Millia one of the best. Your 6P will stuff Chipp's HS if you time it right. If you go for air to air, you should be able to beat Chipp, especially if your going up towards him. You have double Air dash also which should make you quite safe from teleport YRC. Your Oki is WAYYYY better dont even compare. His Reversal is scary? Doesn't even lead to a knockdown and you bait it, he takes in so much damage. >_> Dont know why you would respect it that much.

I didn't really pay much attention to the story I'll admit... can't stand anime cliche stuff, but it's just a feeling I got. Her beliefs were similar to Aria's.. I think? She tells Sol not to be alone and shes kind of perky like Aria. She shows signs of feeling lonely.. Er I think something like that was similar to Aria? Also I can't think of any reason why they would show flash backs of Aria and Sol if they didn't want to make some sort of connection. It wouldn't be surprising since the first Valentine looked like Aria, maybe this one would have a personality similar to her. The story didn't seem to expand the chars too much so it's really hard to tell, but it did feel like Sol and Elphelt had some kind of connection, like Sin and Ramlethal.
-
Sol seems kind of attached to Elphelt.. My guess is that her personality reminds him of his gf. Maybe Ariel designed her knowing that and plans to manipulate Sol with her in the future.
-
Thanks man. It'll make Leo players a little more honest in their pressure.

Sorry I haven't bought this char yet. What is his 5HS? Is that when his back is turned to you and does an overhead? I mean couln't he just throw a jab to beat out that option select for a counterhit?
