  1. This happens when your steam name is too long. Not sure how long is too long though. Use of unicode characters will usually crash it too.
  2. Ok I gave up on this. I have no idea why I seem to be the only one with this problem, and i wasted hours using Microsoft's compatibility tool to no avail. I've just decided to use my XP laptop to configure my online settings.
  3. Everytime I try to open the ggxxnet_config.exe, it crashes. The window doesn't even pop up. I've tried all of the compatability mode options, running as the administrator, moving the folder to c:\, and setting the folder to write. Nothing seems to work, and I haven't even seen this mentioned in any of my google searches. It used to work on my old Vista laptop, but now it doesn't. My specs: Win7 64 i5 3570k GTX660 8gb DDR3 1tb HDD The game is getting a Steam release in a few hours, so help is very much appreciated.
  4. Do you know if GGAC+ has worse netcode than this?
  5. Just curious, are there a lot of people still on this, or did they all migrate to BB and GGAC+?
  6. I know how the OP is feeling. I never quite meshed with BB, and I've owned BBCT and BBCSE for 360. I played GG for years and I got BB because I thought it would be like GG with online play, but it was pretty different. Then I got BBCSE later on because I thought that I didn't give it enough of a chance, but I still couldn't find a character I was comfortable with. Eventually I just dropped fighters all together, since I couldn't find one that I wanted to play online. Then I see Skull Girls on Steam and decide to give that a go. I have instantly bonded with half the characters. Playing SG gives me that same warm feeling I got when I first got into GGXX. There's something about BB that I can't quite pinpoint that makes me unable to get into and feel comfortable. I like what they did with the game mechanics, but it's just the characters or the art style that prevents me from getting into it like I did with GG.
  7. Good God, I want this. I didn't play 3, but 2 was easily my favorite. It just sucked because I'd rarely find anyone to sit there and play it with me, and single player fighting games get old fast.
  8. I wouldn't play it unless Arc Systems made it. But even then, I don't care too much for Capcom's games, so it wouldn't be a big deal to me. I'd rather see them make a new GG, or a BB/GG mashup.
  9. I don't want to buy an Xbox One for many reasons, but I really want to play KI3, and I just built a new gaming PC. I was planning to get a PS4 for the fighters, but now I don't know because I've been waiting for another KI since KI2. I'm perfectly fine with using Games for Windows Live, even though it sucks. I really don't want that kinect camera watching me play games in my underwear.
