  1. Hey, is the Springfield scene still a thing? I just moved in and yeah...the internet is balls here. Any game online feels like spreading frozen butter on a thin piece of white bread.
  2. Yeah, a few people caught on to it. I still think it has viability, but it might not be quite what I was hoping for.
  3. Part of me is disappointed that p.Sho seems to have so much more than regular Sho, but w/e. I really liked the idea of whooping people in Persona using a persona-less character. I haven't made up my mind yet on how viable it might be, but I've been experimenting with survival knife / teleport crossup. Anybody else thought to try this?
  4. True. Heck, I can admit I learn plenty from getting bodied. Still just cool to find an offline scene. Netplay gets...yeah.
  5. Ok, cool. I'm pretty much rusty at this point on all these games, not counting Under Night ( still haven't gotten around to it ), but I might show up for the fun of it. If you end up fighting me, enjoy the free win. ...so rusty.
  6. I'm still not the best at understanding these changes when presented in a list, but from the videos I've seen it seems that Aki has to work much harder to win. I can't really recall seeing any Aki players dominating at all, but it could also be I'm not seeing the best Aki play. Can anybody help me understand this a tad better?
  7. That would be too sexy. Make it happen. As far as new Relius stuff goes I'd like for Ignus 214D to be a little faster. Nirvana's 2D is a decent overhead, so why did Ignus get stuck with the super slow swan dive? I just want that to be faster, or for Ignus to have a better overhead.
  8. Huh...figured TN was a deadzone for this stuff. Guess I was wrong, thankfully. Anybody planning a P4U2 release day tournament or anything along those lines?
  9. I'd have to say the arcade thing is a bigger piece of the puzzle than you imply. Get that many people in one building playing the same game and of course they'll compare notes. Its also one way to have more fun with the game, which in turn makes more people want to learn it. Yeah, it really is just as easy to compare notes online and through the net... but where netplay is concerned, there are so few people (that I know of, anyway) who would sit in a lobby for two or three hours to help each other out. Most people seem only interested in playing to win, and choose not to play skilled people as an alternative to getting better. Arcades contribute more to a playerbase's overall skill level than you seem to realize.
  10. Maybe, but if that really is the case can we just blame ASW for not balancing the game better and call it a day?
  11. This, simply because until a decision is made one way or another this "debate" will have no end. Still, she will be nurfed eventually so maybe people should just hang in there. At the most we will have to wait a little over one year.
  12. Ah, really? Spring semester just started but it is looking like I'm more or less available Fri-Sun. I'm still in Extend though, haven't had a chance to try CP.
  13. First of all, nobody is forcing anything. Second of all, you didn't seem to have trouble adding to a thread you think is just bellyaching. Nobody is "entitled " to act like a shithead because they won a game and it'll never net respect. Not from me anyway. My last piece as far as this thread is concerned. Good day, all.
  14. Thats news to me. Signs of respect I'm more familiar with are taunting each other as soon as the match starts, sort of a bow to each other, and simply sending a gg after the match is played. If most people really mean it as respect, I'll remember that.
  15. Rockwood, TN here ( also known as the meth capitol). Anybody out there? Rockwood has nothing, literally.
  16. That is an interesting way to look at it. The way I see it , and I'm far from alone on this, is; "Hey I just beat you, oh look at all the meter I didn't need *rapids* yeah, so didn't need it *airdashes away* get off my screen." Not exactly respectful, though I'll admit the thought of it being an attempt at respect never crossed my mind.
  17. Perhaps. Every once in a while it just does. No helping it.
  18. Eh, I'm not so bad that it happens often. Might just be me, but when it happens I can't see it as anything but poor sportsmanship. Well, its netplay I suppose. On that note, i wish the offline scene where I am wasn't so non-existant.
  19. How can it be seen as anything else? It serves no purpose other than being a way to teabag an opponent.
  20. I just have three major pet peeves for online. 1.) Show-offs. Its fine if you are better at the game than I am, doesnt hurt my feelings...but crap like double bursting, excessive taunting, and unnecessary rapids at the end of a round and then air dashing away... its just poor form. 2.) People who complain about your character Ragna is EZ mode, Nu just snipes with no skill, Tager is all grabs you scrub, Kokonoe wins for you, etc etc... Ok, the Kokonoe complaint holds some water, but mostly these people just need to shut up and either get better or stop playing. 3.) People who avoid matches with you on ranked based solely on your level/rank. Seriously, people? PSR measures player skill about as well as a hole in the ground can measure your IQ. Also, if you lose to someone once please stop running from them the rest of the night. Sometimes ranked has nobody on ( for those of us still playing Extend) and simply sitting on ranked and not playing wastes everybody's time. Stop it and play. Thats my piece.
  21. Don't worry too much about getting better. If you keep playing you'll eventually get better. That's really all there is to it. If you have a friend who knows how the game works, that proves to be a big help. Guess I'll add something relevent to the last few posts. As far as the reclusiveness goes, I found that many players ( not just BB players ) prefer to play with people they already know. I'm kind of like that myself largely due to being able to voicechat with friends. Some have a little more fun that way. If the community seems small atm, its only because people are a little bored with BB for the time being. That'll change when CP releases.
  22. I wasn't trying to imply he'll be auto top tier, just saying they know how to add a charge char to a game like this. Only thing I'm fairly sure of is Kagura will have loads of trouble against chars that are in the air most of the time unless he gets a really good anti-air or something. P4A and Blazblue made by the same people, I figure it'd be very odd for one charge char to do extremely well and another do poorly.
  23. I wouldn't be too sure of that yet. P4A's Mitsuru is a charge char and it worked out very well for her.
