Hey fellas, I was wondering what changes have been made to Jin in this version that make everyone think he's god mode(in jp anyways)
-
Hey guys, I'm a Terumi main in CP. I picked him because I liked his drive and loved him in the story. But I'm migrationg away from playing bots and transfering over to online. Gotta say, Terumi's lack of a meterless reversal and mixup is beyond irritating. You can crouch block the dude all day, the only thing you need to stand for is j.2D which isn't very sneaky or 63214B but that takes meter, and when people with good pressure get me in the corner I'm FUCKED. I sub Hazama, but I want to keep him as a sub. So Im looking for a new main that has good reversal options with no meter and a quick, relitavly unassuming standing overhead so I can actually have a mix up game that doesnt involve jumping and letting everyone know what I'm doing. Any suggestions? Im not really a fan of the puppeter characters, so if you're thinking of suggesting them, thanks, but I just honestly don't like either of them at all, same for Kokonoe, I refuse to use her on the grounds of her being bullshit and I hate her lol. So anyone excluding them, I dont care if suggested characters are ass teir. They just need the tools I want for fun lobby matchups. Thanks playas

Hey guys, I'm guessing this is the right area for this. But I just finished my first play threw of xblaze where I read every TOi article as soon as it came up. I know the point is to read sone and avoid others and what not. I was just wondering if there is a kind of map somewhere that shows what's necessary to get all possible paths cleared? I can't seem to find squat on Google searches. I'm not asking for any details about the story aside from just a branch unlock guide. I want to watch it unfold myself, but I don't want to go threw a whole 10 episodes to find I got the same ending again lol. Thanks!

Oh sorry I should have specified im playing cse. Its such a pain im now to the point where i can get a lvl 1 every time ofter houtdnjin but not lvl 2 Edit. Wow i guess it just clicked. I could start dashing a bit sooner than i thought. I think i gpt it. Thanks for the help!

You said houtenjin > j.zanegiea? Im not really understanding ypur steps, youll have to forgive me. The way ive been inputting it is "236236B > 66 > 214D-C > stuff" so there is a way to split the commands up for this? Like buffer the 214d then dash then c? Or am i reading this wrong lol. And what do you mean j.zangeia? Forgive the ignorance. Ive been going at his challenge 12 for days now. I have every part seperatly perfect. Just cant get that j.8d. Could it be because my zangiea is only lvl 1 and not creating enough stun? Its the only thing i can think of..

Hey guys I have a couple things I could use some help with. 1.) I am having some trouble getting the 214D~C followup to Houtenjin. I only get it about 70% of the time, which is causing me to doubt myself and just avoid it and go for the easy backstep 623D which is lame. I just cant seem to figure out the timing of this at all, like when you should go into stance and when to hit C. When I do it I can NEVER get the powered up version to come out, I'm usually so close to missing the link I have 0 spare time. But I see online most people hit that link all day with the powered up version. I was wondering if you guys had any tips to kind help me make sense of the link so I can work it into my game. And something a bit more specific than training mode, as I spent hours the last few days there with no results. I know it will take practice but practicing the wrong thing cant help any lol. 2.) This one is based off of say "OTG > 5C > 2C > 6D~A > 4D~A > Jump 8D~A > 623D" I am struggling a bit with this. On its own I have no problems getting this one off but after Houtenjin > Devouring Fang > 6C > Dash > .... I simply can not get this to link on Bang. He just techs the 8D every time. So annoying. But I LOVE the way this combo looks, especially with Mizuchi added at the end. Is this a combo that I should be able to use regularly, the triple chain retraction to 623D? Or is it just a situational junk combo that I should just avoid and stick with a simpler version omitting the jump chain?

It most certainly needs some getting used to haha. But i think itll be more than worth the time. I remember how lame it was for the learning curve to go from pad to stick haha, just gotta tough it out. Plus theres no jerking the stick around you basically type your combos lol. And for the directions thing the creators of it had a good way to look at it. Just consider the up button a jump button instead of up. Makes all the difference in the world. I really like it for quartee and half circle inputs too. And instant blocking is so mindlessly easy with it. Hold back and forward at the same time gives you neutral so just holding back and giving a quick tap to forward and releasing it is a very safe way to attempt them. Definitely loving this thing so far!

I just got my HitBox "stickless" or all button fight stick and have been practicing all day. 632146 has never been easier after only a day. No more accidental 7 or 3 inputs when looking for 6. So amazing. I cant wait till I'm fully adjusted to it. Anyone else here use one?

So, I'm guessing that the PS3 default controller is NOT a good pad?
MattyD315 replied to Mugen Tux's topic in Beginner Mode
Im kind of suprised to hear this. But like someone else said. if you cant do 236 then it might just be you. not in an insulting way or anything, its just a motion that takes a bit of practice, like anything else. ive been using an xb pad for a while and that, my friend, is laammeeee for a dpad. just aweful. 4 to 6 or vise versa motion with one of those is balls. youll get 9 and 3s all day. between a sony or microsoft controller i would normally say the sony pad is far superior. but hey thats just this 1 mans opinion. but if you plan on being pretty into fighters, i would suggest a stick. its straight forward, and a stick, modded, can be your best friend on ps or xb or pc. i mean a ps3/360 pad is like 60 bucks anyways. and if you hate it, its just wasted money. might aswel throw that money into a stick fund. and youll never feel hesitant to play at someone elses house or at an event again worring about it being on the "wrong" system ya know. But like with all opinions, take it with a grain of salt. and good luck. -
hi all. i have a question about trading. I have a stick for ps3 that i cant use. i was wondering if it was possible to have a post for wanting to trade it for a similar make stick just 360 version? i wont go into any details untill its approved, im just hoping that this is allowed?

Hey guys, to start Im using a 360 pad with the "transforming" dpad. Ive been getting stuck in bad situations all day because of these imputs. To be specific Adons Jaguar Kick and Tooth. I know I know its not directly about an air dasher, its just these just happen to be the ones plauging me now. It happens all over the place in GG + BB for me also. But doing a DP towards your characters back while getting mixed up hard up front just seems to be beyond me. This seems to be one of his bnb skills to work with, like, ALOT. And Im just getting blown up trying the half circle input as well. mostly the 632146 to be honest, but even without the forward input it seems near impossible for me to get all the right things to register. So I gues i was wondering if others had similar issues and could offer what worked for them? I usually just switch to the analog stick briefly for the half circle, but that seems more like a bandaid wne in an intense fight. but the DP is waht worries me most. I can DP towards action all day but this new concept of trying to use it in this weird way makes my head hurt lol. Anyone know where Im coming from and have some enlightening tips for me? Other than "deal with it."

This is a more a + Slayer question. Ive been trying to get back on my Slayer grind, I gave him up a while ago, but when I started with him I was new to the game so I was God aweful. I can finally get The Rest every time I attempt it(not all that impressive I know but, but its a start) but I have a horrible time setting it up. What are some not super situational ways to lead up to an air combo like The Rest?

Ah, that stinks with the no LE. But I think I might just grab it from a Game Stop or Ebay. I bet I can get it for cheaper than Amazon as 30 seems like a strech. I got CSE LE for 12 bucks from Amazon tho hahah. Bangin deal. How strange that someone would try and get 20 more than the retail for a, compaired to alot of games, obscure title. But anywho, thanks for the input.
-
Sorry I know this isn't gameplay related, but I'm trying to get this game and something is really bothering me. I was on Amazon looking up the title for 360 and I got 2 different main results, aside from the import versions. The main results are: Persona 4 Arena xbox360 - 29.99 Atlus 90012 USA Persona 4 Arena xbox360 - 79.99 What the heck is justifying such an outragous price gap? There are sevral listed for the high price so it's likly not some con artist... I dont think. Oh and side note, I like to get the Limited Edition of my games, when it's available. Does P4A have a Limited Edition? I assume that this 90012 is not the LE as the decription is lacking any evidence of this.

Hahah you guys are awesome. I will be practicing transferable skills as well. I just don't know exactly when I'll be able to afford a PS3. So it's an indefinite date for when I get CP. I might be stuck in CSE for a while so I wanna get good while I'm here. And as for the Terumi play, I just always thought it would be amazing to be able to play as Dark War Terumi ever since I learned of him. Not so much of a main, more of a treat to get to play as an alternate persona of my favorite FG character ever. Then they announced the DLC. So I told myself I'll allow me the reward of enjoying him if I can get to a respectable level with Hazama. I'm a reward based learner LOL. But yeah, by main problems seem to be when the optimal input time is from move to move. I'll get it down, eventually. Nothing beats time put in to make everything second nature. Oh, and jeez looking at the changes from CSE to CP alot of things look like we got the raw end of the deal with added recovery frames on alot of shit. But at the same time the (I think) j.C5 > 5C > j.whatever (maybe loop? IDK but I've seen it several times) looks a lot easier than the TK loop. But that's talk for a different thread, so I'll save it haha.
