would say plinkin' gives 1F links a 3F window cuz in SF4 engine any of the 2 followin' combinations grants a input in frame - x - in which case targetin' the inputs on a 3 frame window might suffice. no idea how accurate of a description it is though (technically double tappin' + select/back plinkin' might be able to give 3 consecutive inputs within 3 frames, probably not much practical viability though) 3rd frame 2nd frame (x) 1st frame

in SF links kinda rather static, quite plenty of links also in GG. like Dust loops, IAD combos or basic Ram stuff like dash up P after Daruo. guess Plink based 1F links sorta become 3F window links. have u seen how some ppl complain about havin' a 2F reversal window?

kinda one of the things that seems pretty complete about Guilty Gear is how precision on defense is kinda valued as much as precision on the offense. IBs, parries and FD kinda allow room for the defensive side to be almost as active as the one in the attackin' one. the tech system seems just an extension of that, kinda allowin' some sort of balance on dropped combo punishes (probably givin' room to actually go for more complicated stuff instead of "tournament combos" only like in most other games) there are already plenty of games that come w/ "trainin' wheels" systems (like hold to tech), why try to turn Guilty into another one of those instead of try to actually "step it up"...

guess precision on defense kinda valued as much as precision on attack, Instant Blockin' may prevent Guard Bar from gettin' cranked. Seems rather balanced overall, as there's some sort of risk involved every time a "button is pressed" as opposed to kinda little to none if holdin' back/down back

somehow got the impression the aim kinda to make not much of a threat at "low/mid" lvl, but to still be scary when played in a much more complete fashion. By nerfin' his air/mid-screen options sorta ends up needin' the corner to do damage, but when finally in the corner probably becomes the scariest has ever been
