Mathias: Do you have an extra Xbox360 controller connection thing (USB to 360) Not sure exactly what it's called but it goes on the end of the controller and is there to prevent the console falling down or whatever if you pull a controller. Anyways I'm missing that connection piece for my stick, just wondering if you knew where it was. Thanks

  8. That honestly isn't a big deal, except when you were going for meaty 41236C (1) versus 41236C (2) oki, which is really really rare. The bigger nerf is that you cannot combo [ 41236C > 5C ]x2 anymore, or just into 5C period. Giving that gave you an extra 500-700 damage for free even if you didn't combo out of 5C at all.

  14. advanced input refers to BlazBlue's unique input system where an input can be held and registered for 5 frames in a row. This is useful for reversals and connecting links. To give a better understanding, do dashing j.214C and try to link a 2C afterwards. The timing is tight, but if you hold down+C at the end of you landing from the j.214C you will get a 2C to come out and connect. Just make sure you only hold for 5 frames (which isn't much, but it's nice)

  17. Yes, sorry about that. Been a busy 2 weeks as of lately. After this week finals will be done and I can go about pruning the Hakumen threads so that I can pretend I'm a decent moderator again.
  18. on an aerial opponent 5a > j.a is all you get off of 5a. from j.a, you can actually late gatling into j.b, which of course is jump cancellable. So yeah, that's the most damage you get tensionless (technically j.C would be better at the end, but I guess it's only like 20 damage more or something for a better setup). 5a is used primarily as an anti air if you: a) are being crossed up, not sure which way to 5a b) if you think your 6a is being baited in the air (if they are to, say, IB, falling j.a punish or something) c) did not react fast enough to 6a, so 5a
  19. The special proration they might be referring to is Hakumen's combo rate. In BB, every character has a flat percentage that affect how much each combo hit does in succession (factored in individual move prorations, etc). In CT, Hakumen has the lowest at 80%. In a sense. What I believe others are trying to say is that a few high-damage moves will often do more damage than a large multi-hit corner combo. For example, compare the damage of: 214B (1) > 41236C > 5C anywhere versus corner throw: 214B> 2C> j.2C > j.C > 2C> superjump j.2C> airdash j.2C > J.2C. I dont remember exactly, but I believe they both do pretty close to the same damage despite the second one requiring particular spacing and control to pull off the whole combo, and the first only being 3 hits anywhere on the screen. j.2C has a p2 combo value of 75%, which isn't bad, but combined with his flat 80% combo rate makes it scale real fast. The main advantage to the j.2C loops is that the damage is tensionless.

As far as I know the only change his aerial specials is: a) j.214b breaks a guard primer b) j.214c has more untechable time (hence the whole 66 j.214.c xN dealy) I never understood why hotaru was air unblockable, but it certainly led to cool air-air mixup (airdash airthrow, hotaru, j.C)

Also pressure strings weakened. (Lost some frame traps hurts, so makes sense)
