CH OS 3C : 3C, 2a, 2a. kind of fast. get 3C whiff 2a on hit, get 3C into 22a on block. if it does CH you get 5B 5[C] etc. if it doesn't CH you get nothing. interesting tool to use in stagger strings. can do the same thing with 421B actually, without needing CH. can probably OS with 22B as well, if you want to be + a lot rather than -1. And enhanced 236A if you have it, for +1. hooray for OS's. didn't know about the 6b one today and learned that from reading previous pages. you can make it even easier by stringing into it from a 2a.

3c isnt an air normal and is air unblockable and grd breaks air shield u only stop air normals from canceling with air shield i thought

should do jB C route in general if you get 6b 2c or 2a 2a 2a 2c or 2a 2b 2c starter just because it does more damage than doing 6 route but 6 gets you 10 enhanced bullets vs 5 (note you get only 66c 22b 66c. but you can add 22b 66c with enough enhanced bullets or off a stronger starter/ch of course) buuut you probably don't need those 10 enhanced bullets unless you're already in the corner where you're more likely to get another hit directly afterwards so you can do two 22b in the jb c combo no matter the starter. if you get a 2b 2c starter you're supposed to do the j5[C] wjA route, but if you end up doing ground 5[c] you can salvage with jb c

ex dp still gets blocked by merkava after -3 on ex noodles. again probably a range thing if it really is 3f.

some notes on the frame data: eltnum's 5a i am pretty sure is 5 frame startup instead of 4f. it cannot punish linne's dash c which is reportedly -4. also, still not sure if eltnum's ex dp is 2f startup. it cannot punish merkava's ex noodle w/o shield (-3 normally) but it may just be that the first hit has very little range.

counter hit / grd break give extra hitstun overall to your combo. and it is a very very noticeable and substantial amount. 6D (assault) starters are the shortest starter you can get in the game, but with Counter hit/grd break they become more like normal combos. note you cannot counter hit vatista (she is just protected vs ch as her mechanic) funny cuz someone else asked me the same question.

so 421C is actually quite invincible, and goes into 3800ish damage on most hits. especially on grounded. so yeah you can blow up unsafe cancels and frame traps, and also after chain shifting to see the state of the game. another good use - using it post-flash of merkava's ex noodles, possibly other grounded reversals. oh huh. interesting, but you don't get your enhanced bullets back in those combos. although i guess you could do combos that don't use bullets.

what combo do you do off 6b xx 22b(enhanced)? right now im doing a pretty low damage jump loop off 2c, but i've seen 3c into j[C]

doc says ex dp is 2f startup. well it can't punish merkava's ex noodles (-3 on block) so i dunno bout that.

if you read the doc, that first combo fails on linne hyde hilda a less finicky 3c combo 3c 8 j[C] 9 (wait) jC (uncharged, close to floor), 5[c] 421B 6 blah blah if they get anti aired pretty high up you have to time your 9 as for a decent bnb to learn IMO: (2A 2A 2A 2C)... (2A 2B 2C)... … 5[C] 421B jump cancel, delay, jBC 66C xx 22B, 66C (22C) (doesn't work off 2A 2A 2B 2C lol) edit: i changed the combo. the one i had before works on some chars but not hyde etc

there are generally only 3 "end paths" i've found. you've got pretty long "starters" for the first half of the combos though. anyone know what her force function is for? does 421C have any invincibility? how do i hit this raw lol. i've found a combo off 214A xx 421C that is kind of cool, haven't measured it up to 214A xx 214C

what are good B dp chain shift combos? anti air and anti ground?

63214C actually. it overlaps with 214C if you don't return to neutral lol. 214C is great for beating gaps. it's minus on block but you get a pretty big combo if they did do some sort of delay because of how fast it jumps. veil off is good. you get 2 or 3 chances to use 214C or 236C to start offense, and 41235D for reversal.

one important thing about flight is that back jump is lower, so try doing it from back jump (7 5 7 3 or something)

ah that was before i knew what that was. i understand. yeah it doesn't seem too useful. most of the frame traps are going to be from 5b delay chain. if they hesitate, cancel to 214[a] or 236a or i guess b?? if they mashin, 2c or 5c fun thing to do is 5b 5aa which will get another 5b on block. this move him forward the most. woop. learned simple veil off combos. can't wait to try them out in a match. still need 200 meter for all of them, the ones that don't need 200 meter are way beyond my understanding. the spacing for veil off not to hit during spin messes me up

just as a side note, i'm 99% sure rising jump normals in this game do not count as overhead. tested with rising jA with carmine and merkava.

just map a button to abcd and mash that while spinning hooray for console

one of his biggest problems is a lack of reversal. you're gonna have to veil off to get ppl off you. his hardest matchup is vatista. once she gets you to block jC, a ball, or an explosion, you kind of have to wait forever just to get to play again. and your ways out are the incredibly inefficient guard cancel, shield which is a risk, and veil off, which is not a bad option but since it is your only option it is kind of meh. vs the other characters there is less lock down to deal with and you can work off of the strength of his 2b. can't really use his air shenanigans vs grim reaper, and i dunno what to do vs merkava's flight, but that's about it.
