Can anyone tell me what the trans am distortion drive is used for lol...... Is it for combos or better blockstrings lol?

So I've been playing izayoi for about two weeks now wondering why I couldn't find a match without lag...... Literally everyone i faced was 0. But i just recently found there is another world where (I'm assuming) us players play.... So now I'm playing lag free and winning more often lol.... But question I wanted to ask is should I confirm into 5c or 5b because if i Gatling combo not sure if that's what it's called my 5 c whiffs so should I go straight from a light attack into 5c or 5b.

Good to know,I'll have to practice it on Noel.What i find strange is although I'm only a week and a half into blazblue and I'm beating quite a lot of people online.Someone told me that izayoi was low tier but I'm pretty much holding my own against top tier characters.The only annoying thing about her is the fact that I cant handle rush down characters so I'm pretty much stock blocking until they decide to stop attacking lol...But I think things i learned from streetfighter translates to this game.

Hey everyone relatively new to blazblue and wonder why I cant izayoi's relaunch combos down. After th jb,ja,ja,jc i can't connect with 5b when they are falling i tried the jb,ja,jc variation and it just feels like its impossible if anyone could explain this in a very detailed way I'd appreciate it. Also how do i deal with pressure with her vs Ragna=i sit there and block I get hit with a counter hit eat another combo.... Repeat

K thanks for all the replies now as far as punishing other characters attacks..should I take the time to learn more characters or should I just try to memorize frame data. Another option is going in to training mode and try to punish CPUs moves or just using that a base to at least get a little matchup experience

Thanks for the replies I have hope lol... But anyway I noticed that I get poked out by almost everyone's 2a and it just feels hard confirming into anything in blazblue in general but I guess I'll get use to it. But to adress my problem during a match should I take time to learn all other characters block strings or just look them up on a wiki. I have trouble defending in this game do to the fact that I have no idea whats safe or not or how to punish it.

So i posted a while back about picking a main and i chose izayoi...... but it seems like im being ripped apart online. It almost looks like i have never played a fighting game in my life. I am realy good at sf4 and injustice but it seems like i just cant get good at this game.Ive trained for hours on end repeating combos only to drop them due to online lag. It also seems like everyone just uses characters with very simple combos like ragna and noel. On defense I just cant seem to react,punish or do anything i just let the opponent manhandle me. As of right now I just feel like picking ragna or noel although i really enjoy playing as izayoi..... idk what to do lol keep chugging or switch

Lol sorry needed to be more specific out of izayoi tsubaki and Rachel and I've heard Carl is really hard from lots which is why I didn't mention him

Thanks for the help guys, but out of all the characters which would you say has the highest learning curve because i like to feel rewarded for mastering a hard character lol.

sorry to keep posting lol but another thing is why does it feel like the character who gets knocked down has more priority than the attacker for example i get a knockdown on someone with jin try to jab them on their wake up and they can out jab me if they use netral wakeup. I just dont understand that... but i do understand that reversals will take priority over my normal attacks which is why i should bait them.

and also this game seems to make me freeze up everytime someone is attacking it almost feels like i have no idea how to fight back most of the time

So I really need help.... Ive always wanted to get into blazblue so this time i decided to get the game early(import) but i am having trouble choosing a main. Im really good at sf4 and mvc3 but i am terrible at blazblue.I mained ibuki and subbed Cammy in sf4 ( i like rush down/characters with good mix ups) im currently using jin but im interested in terumi for his damage Tsubaki she feels like a rush down character and Izayoi because she looks like she has the potential to have a dangerous mix up game. Also if u guys can... tell me about the learning curves for the characters.
