  1. Well....even if this in only a partial list and 100% NOT final due to still being in flux via location tests, I wasn't expecting this at all. All I wanted was a visual gauge for Phalanx Stocks and was bracing myself for some BIG nerfs given all of the complaining and S Tier talk he's been generating, but this actually looks pretty sweet. Loosing the "DP"/ strike invincibility of Growler Field could hurt a bit, but as of now, we have an unchanged Backdash, and it seems like Growler's going to actually have more utility overall, especially against the Murakumo Trio, since Lambda could give him as much trouble as Nu does now. That being said, I WON'T be getting excited until we see more. Seeing how drastically Elizabeth changed in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax from the loctests to the final build, just reinforced my belief to temper my hype because EVERYTHING is Subject To Change here. Glad to see people like LegendaryRath keeping a level head right now.
  2. That character select art looks AWESOME, and having three Personas could be interesting, especially Yoshitsune, since he's one of my favorite designs! Can't wait to add he to the team with Liz, Naoto, MINAZUKI and Adachi. I just hope she doesn't outclass Lizzie in every conceivable way, or I'll be sad.
  3. Since you asked Luminos564, according to the Dustloop Wiki, MINAZUKI, and Sho for that matter, have 9,000 health. Yu has 9,500, which appears to be the "average," so they'd be slightly below it, but not TRUE Glass Cannons.
  4. Perhaps that was the wrong choice of words. After Djqubil posted all of his findings in that Pastebin document, he and some of the rest of us thought that he could be pretty set-up heavy with the buffs supers and his ability to inflict Fear and Mute, once he hits Awakening, pretty easily, to the point of being able to overwhelm his opponents once he was fully set-up. I took this as essentially verification of that line of thought, since, as you said, this matches up his original description pretty well.
  5. For those who may be unaware, the official English website just updated with a section on Adachi, noting this his play-style was "Disruption," and that, "He messes with his opponent's mind using his tricky moves. He can power himself up and cause his opponents various ailments to get an edge in the fight." http://www.atlus.com/p4au/character/character20.html. So it seems a lot of our earlier speculation is going to be correct. Also, which of his Persona attacks are Burstable Djqubil? I know it's not many, since that's one of his main strengths, but do we have any idea of the exact few that are an exception?
  6. Nice to see I'm not alone in thinking he's a step below S Tier, as you've pretty much echoed my exact thoughts on him RentalBlackout. I feel like this is pretty much EXACTLY like the Rose/Luffy situation in USF4. Sure, I'll acknowledge that he got some nice buffs in 1.1, despite the majority of them being "Quality Of Life" improvements, and that the majority of his bad matchups, save for the Clovers, Rachel and Litchi, got better due to them all being nerfed, and I know that would move him up the tiers by proxy, but I just don't see how he could magically skyrocket to God Status and be instantly reviled as this crazy, derpy character that should be hated overnight. I also remember LK and SKD made an "Ease Of Use" Tier List, and while he had Azrael at the Top of the "Easy To Learn" category, and SKD had his as second-easiest to use underneath Noel, but they both had him on the farther end of the "Easy To Win With" column, with all of the 1.0 top tiers in front of him. I don't feel like I'm in a position to dispute all of these top player opinions if some of them think he really is THAT good, but I'd even put Relius above him, despite Dogura tearing through RYO in that FT10. Top of A+ feels pretty accurate, but outside of a few damage nerfs or frame data reductions, I'm kinda paranoid about him getting destroyed in Version 2.0 because of people complaining when he's arguably the most "fair" top tier in the entire history of the BlazBlue series. As for your specific points about AE 2012, tournament results never really lined up with that version's tier list due to guys like EG Justin Wong, EG Ricky Ortiz, MCZ Daigo Umehara and LU Alex Valle pushing mid-tier characters like Rufus and Ryu WELL beyond their natural means, so much so that they were the two most successful tournament characters in that version, along with top players like Tokido, Infiltration and Fuudo being so dominant with Akuma and Fei. They were universally agreed upon to be the S Tier Trio, but the order amongst them was always disputed for different reasons. She made Top 8s thanks to K-Brad and Dakou, but the only thing she ever won in recent memory was K-Brad winning SCR earlier this year. As for Alpha Pat in SCV, Whoahhzz had a pretty dominant streak with him, but he was pretty much the only guy using that character, since he was Just Frame City, while Mitsurugi, Viola and Natsu had ALOT more players, despite being universally being agreed to be below him.
  7. Just out of curiosity, beyond Dogura's personal Azrael matchup chart, what tier list are we talking about here? The Aecadia Magazine Tier List that was published in May or the more recent one from Tetsuwo that I believe was published on June 30th? I suppose it doesn't really matter, since both of them have Azzy in S along with Dora's, but I just wanted to get some overall context to this conversation.
  8. That's a really nice write-up Djqubil. A shame he doesn't have Foolish Whisper to gain the Silence ailment, but I can settle for Confusion with Magatsu Mandala. Never thought he'd have Command Grabs of all things honestly. I just wish we knew what his Heat Riser and Magatsu Mandala buffs did, but I'd imagine they'll be prefect significant if one's an Awakening Super and the other could potentially work exactly like it does in Persona 4, which, combined with Fear, Confusion and whatever this other buffs is, could actually be pretty scary, since we'd be getting more mobility, a damage buff to everything, and increased defense, which will REALLY help if he's only got 8,500 health. He still seems like he could compliment Elizabeth in quite a few ways, which makes me excited for him even more! I just hope he's more Terumi and less Joker if his colors are any indication, because he looks like he could be pretty fun once he gets set-up and rolling. Plus he FINALLY gets to shoot that gun, and it likes look Wesker gave him some aiming lessons with that possible OTG shot! LOL!
  9. Have we got any translations on that article yet AchedSphinx? Was hoping it might address the Weather System, at least a bit?
  10. Think I'll throw my hat into the ring again, since this is the last one. I'm CERTAINLY ready for some Ultimax tournaments in the future though! PSN: RWAAnnouncer Time Zone: CST.
  11. Nice! This is coming out a lot sooner than I ever expected it would. I just hope there's enough of a stretch between this and Ultimax when it comes out. I also fully expect some DLC characters, or additional versions down the line that add more, so I'm not too worried about the roster size.
  12. Let me know when you get the matches uploaded to Youtube. I'd love your commentary on my match with IESlover. I feel like I dropped SO MUCH SOAP in that one, especially since I fell for that Counter Super that I knew was coming because I play a little bit of Terumi too.
  13. Considering I did a bit better this time around, despite chocking HARD against Terumi, I should be free that weekend, the 1.1 patch is buffing all of my characters, and I'll be graduated with my Masters, so I'll ACTUALLY have time to truly practice up for one of these, I think I'll take another shot. Maybe third time will be the charm and I'll actually get myself a win, despite coming so close to the brass ring twice in a row now? PSN: RWAAnnouncer Location: Jonesboro, Arkansas Time Zone: CST Twitch ID: RWA Announcer Characters: Azrael, Kokonoe, Noel, and possibly Nu-13, Relius or Tao if I think they're ready by then.
  14. Wow! Totally forgot this was today! Assuming I haven't already been DQd for being late, I'll be right there. Slopped my mind that this was starting today and not tomorrow.
  15. Elochai summed up Elizabeth's situation pretty perfectly AchedSphinx. We think the buffs are nice, but compared to what others received, *CoughYuCough* they're not that great in overall comparison. As for the jab situation with the Shos, from asking around both forums, both Sho and MINAZUKI pre-patch jabs were +1 on block, with 9 frames of startup and 9 frames of recovery, which enabled them to stagger them for ridiculous pressure, especially in the corner. IIRC, they added more recovery to the jabs, so it would be in the double digits, they didn't reduce the frame advantage, so they're still both +1 like Chie is. And while I haven't seen much of Sho, it MINAZUKI doesn't appear to be impacted by it in the slightest when it comes to combos, because he's still doing the same ones I've always seen him doing for months now. I merely suggested Yu and Liz be compressed for 1.10, because while she's likely still the worst in the game, Liz's buffs have made her look semi-playable now, and while Yu is still the best in the game, because even without his Oki game he still has EVERYTHING, I believe he was the only one in the patch to get all nerfs, so he can leave his Kings Throne and go sit with the rest of the S Tier.
  16. Yeah. The person who originally translated it told me that after I posted it. I'd say it's still pretty accurate, save for Yu and Liz being compressed into S and B, respectively. Doesn't seem like they changed enough overall to cause any decent movement. I would like to hear their reasoning of putting Sho above MINAZUKI though. Those Persona moves of his are just SO GOOD!
  17. Not sure how reliable these Arcadia Tier Lists are, or if this even applies to the new, current version of the game, (I would hope that it does) but here's a Tier List I found on Twitter. Pretty surprised to see Sho above MINAZUKI honestly. S+: Yu. S: Aigis, Teddie, Yosuke, Shadow Labrys, Naoto, Sho. A: Mitsuru, Kanji, MINAZUKI, Yukari, Chie, Yukiko, Akihiko. B: Labrys, Junpei. C: Elizabeth.
  18. I know it's extremely early, but save for Aigis being Aigis, which I can forgive because she's basically got Marvel combos, that really made me optimistic for her future. And Randomizer grabs are really hype too!
  19. Pretty much what Luminos564 said. I appreciate the optimism Strife, but considering this is the same Team Blue that broke her kneecaps in the first place, just to buff Narukami into King Tier, and also made pre-patch Kokonuts if I'm not mistaken, I'm going to have to see some footage before my faith in them is truly restored. But, I'm just glad that this place is permeated with a sense of hope and optimism for once as opposed to, "Welp Thanny, it's been a good run, but I'm gonna need one of those coffins on your back to bury your mistress in, because this isn't working." I AM happy to be getting anything at this point though.
  20. I know it's a bit early to be asking this, since the patch isn't live yet, but I'd like to ask some of the better Liz players here, like Bace, Omnix, and Elochai, do you think these buffs, small as they may be, will leave her better, the same, or still worse than she currently is in P4A? She'll still have problems, but they fixed a few things it seems.
  21. I've actually never touched Melty Falco, but just from watching them both, Persona Sho/MINAZUKI looked pretty superior. He reminds me a lot of SFXT Raven, or Vergil, in a lot of ways. I'll look up some videos of that character though just for the visual comparison. Glad to hear that regular Sho isn't totally outclassed though, that was something that worried me.
  22. Even though I've watched a TON of videos of both Shos, I'm still not really sure what all of his moves look like, but it sounds like the one you're thinking of Falco. Had no idea his jabs were THAT stupid though. It visually looked silly, but that was just crazy good. As a Liz main I'll appreciate that. Glad to hear that is Wiki page is going to be getting updated. Sho and MINAZUKI both really interest me, so it'll be nice to have some info to go with my video watching for theory crafting until the game comes out.
  23. So you think they're both about equal as opposed to MINAZUKI being the superior one, AnnelFrank? That's good to hear since I'm interested in them both! Also, just realized you were from Tennessee. Shoutouts to Southern FGC and a fellow lover of Setplay!
  24. So who exactly WAS top in P4AU 1.00 Strife? Beyond hearing that the usual suspects were still good, Narukami was in ProSwagonist Tier and Liz was at the ABSOLUTE bottom of the barrel, I haven't heard much or seen a lot of lists made up. I'm obviously THRILLED for the Liz buffs, since it looks like she can be a real character now, Naoto got some great stuff, and the Shos are both that much more interesting to me now. Can't wait to see how the Shadows and Junpei develop now. New Victory Cry buffs look SCARY!
  25. That's what it sounds like Ruroni, which could lead to some really interesting things. I suppose this was done to put some gaps in his pressure, since both he and MINAZUKI had some fantastic jabs? I know we don't have the new value, which is a shame, but has anybody seen the mook to know what his original jab recovery was?
