about the possibility of Saya(Izanami) being that Girl(Monster). Maybe that "devours the world" bit should be taken in metaphorical sense, meaning that Izanami wants to destroy the world - create the World of Death? How "Monster that devours the world" is written in Japanese?

Crack theory: Ragna has Girl's soul inside him, and now he became a mini-"Monster", and thus he needs to be saved instead of killed.
