It is a timing. Furthermore, you have to set up 5D so that the super arrow tracks. If you do it too early, the hitbox will get eaten up in the tornado so you won't do any damage. Too late, and the opponent will tech, so the arrow won't connect unless like they just arent pressing buttons. A bit of practice will get it down easy

Idk. If you really want to get good at a game you will go through the hoops. Inoue HOS got me watching AC+. Roi Sol decided both my favorite player to watch and the character I wanted to play. I missed the +R train cuz shit netcode and delayed release dates crashed it before it left the station. That being said, I still want to play xrd in tourneys, especially since I didn't get the chance in CP. This game (along with VF5FS) are still the most perfect and awesome games of their genre to me and Goddammit if I have to practice 4-6 months by myself to get half as good as the OGs in America or even longer to fight the gods back in Japan then fuck I will because I have been waiting for this game (before it was announced) since I first learned about it in 2012. But you're right. People probably dont have the time a college freshman does or even like the game like that.

5D midscreen is always a good place to start. Dancing around it is good every now and then, especially if you can catch them pressing buttons, since that is a combo hopefully off of counterhit. Feather bombs are always great if you can get them out, but 5D and 5Bs behind it is usually the best thing to throw out. Just use discretion, and dont let the chie (or any character really) just run past it while you are setting up. That will hurt lol

Just remember that starting off with her you have wierd, but awesome projectile zoning and pressure tools, but you lack average tools like strong footsies and an official anti-air. This character (imo) will also teach you how to block. When you start getting things down consistently she is awesome and you see the fruits of your labor
