I've been on PCMR for a few months now, and looking at the prices of these steam machines, you're better off building a PC. I built mine around October of last year and couldn't have been happier. If you're an anime warrior though, I'd suggest sticking to PS4. The releases are much faster and the stress of waiting is shorter. In fact, thats part of the reason I keep my PS4 around. Here's a PC for around 500 bucks that you'll get good mileage out of though. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/c9LCPs The great thing about PC is that if this is too much for you, you can tinker with parts to make it cheaper and upgrade later. So with that being said, play around and see what you prefer.

I normally play on stick, but I enjoyed the PDP Afterglow controllers back when I played Marvel. The PS3 one is pretty decent, but I really liked the the 360 one. It's cheap, durable (owned it for about 3 years before I sold my xbox), hard wired, and the Dpad reminded me a lot of the Genesis pad. If you can get a converter, I would say to go for it.

I'm interested in joining the party, given that this still happens and time permits.

Just came off from playing a week of Persona with Will-Of-Fortune (GGs btw) As a Yukiko main, this MU is free money for Margaret. She has completely better neutral, potemkin sweep keeps yukiko from doing full-screen mix-ups and damage, horizontal control is no comparison, and the damage is insane. Starting the match, it's 7-3. once Yukiko is in the corner, it's 9-1. Yukiko is forced to block, she has no options outside of burst , and a good Margaret will realize this, bait it, and take the round. No reason for Margaret to struggle in this MU, it's way too free.

I can play around 7 cst, if that works. If its too late, I can send you a friend request and we can schedule lobbies.

Since there's probably going to be a a lot of new players for Ultimax with its addition to EVO, I thought it would be a good idea to get with our fellow XBL monsters who want to play on a even playing field with other and keep in touch while learning more about the game and about each other(at the same d*mn time!). Mics/Skype chats are always a great addition since they help us communicate with each other much easier. To kick it off, here's my info: XBL: SoraTehGoon (Will be changed to TaiteFGC) Main: Yukiko! But I'm learning Marie and I can sort of play Teddie. Maybe I'll come back to Yukari Location: Central Alabama Time: Weekends! Mic: I have a PC headset, but not an XBL one. However, I can grab one asap!

Disclaimer: If this violates any forum rules, I'll remove this post immediately. I'd like to join along with you guys, as I'm very interested in giving Guilty Gear a go in the online circuit. I can't say I'll be there all the time, but I would love to join in. I have not been very good at Arc Sys games in the past, as I never really put much time into them and I've been into SF4 quite a bit more; Will of Fortune knows me IRL, so he can testify to this. However, since my XBL account is pretty much a sitting duck (and has been for months), I want to put some time into Xrd. Problem is, I don't have the game. If anyone would be kind enough to share a copy with me, I will highly appreciate it and I am willing to pay (don't have enough money for a full retail copy though). I just picked up Rise in favor in my former main Yukiko as I feel she has more potential than her and I have a few questions that I hope you guys don't mind answering. 1.) I can't really find a practical use for arrow rain as its too slow for oki and its easy to punish raw. Any tips as to how to use it? 2.) I only have one BnB down and one anti air punish, which is 5AA, 5B, 2B, sweep, oki with rock out/musical notes and 2B, 8B,8B, 8C, into platinum disc. Any other practical and universal BnBs and punishes? 3.) Similar to #1, I can't find a way to land 5D/scan. 4.) Knowing her neutral is bad, I think that starting out playing aggressive with 8B and keeping pressure on is the best way to get past that flaw of hers, would you guys agree?

Well, Yukiko can't exactly do much outside of wake-up roll and dp. So once you're in and keep it safe, you can pretty much win in fairly easily. The only thing is that I think Yukiko beats Rise in the neutral. I used to play Yukiko back in Vanilla P4A, so I'm just going off of what still works in ultimax.

Hey guys, after having a discussion with my cousin/friend/training partner about the viability of other characters, it got me thinking about jumping ship (even though I'm very cautious and really don't wanna) to start playing Aigis in Ultimax. Now, I won't have access to the game until September 30th, since I play on Xbox and I don't wanna go through the extra trouble of making a JP account when I've already made my pre-order at Gamestop. Now, if i were to go ahead and make the switch, what do I need to know and what can I practice in P4A? She looks almost the same in videos, but I haven't read her changes so pardon my ignorance if there's something SUPER major I missed. ~Thanks in advance

I haven't been on P4A as much recently as I've been playing other stuff (and I don't have XBL Gold atm), but I'll be back in the race once Ultimax drops in September. I do go to school and I do some extracurricular activities (Mainly Jrotc), so my schedule may be tied up during the week. I'm open on weekends usually as long as nothing pops up. I've been taking baby steps with Kokonoe and I have pretty much the most BASIC combo ever down (5a,6a,5b,5c,3c,236a) with her and I usually just end with setting up graviton and usually throw out a flame ball to make them block so I can run up and throw them. So I'd like to know some more combos to work with (I've attempted to do a couple in the combo thread, but a couple of universal bnb combos to practice from easiest to hardest would be lovely if someone did that for me ^_^') and any other oki set ups besides graviton/flame ball and black hole. Also, why does nobody use Kokonoe's Black/Blue color?! It's so beautiful... ;_; I've also been watching mostly Jiyuna, Pain, LK, and sometimes Bananaken's Kokonoe. Any other suggestions?

I notice that a lot of top Yukiko players tend to level up fire boosts a lot in this MU, I'm assuming it's to compete w/ her damage. Personally, this match-up isn't that bad in my experience. The Chies' I have played seem to have trouble dealing with full screen pressure. However, if you allow them to get in, it's gonna hurt getting her off. The only way I've gotten her off is by guessing and landing a DP; sometimes I have to use my burst. Not the best or safest way, but sometimes it's the only way to get her off. Try to be conservative w/ your Burst in this MU too so you can have a reliable option to get her off and don't get baited because if you do, you're done.

One of my struggles is that I don't know what to do when I run out of cards. I normally resort to the following: A) Super jumping and throwing fans B) Autocombo into sweep (5A, 5A, 2AB) and then go into doing plan A Anything I can do other than this? Sometimes I see Stunedge do the same thing, but I feel there's gotta be something better and less predictable. ~Thanks

The main issue I have in this MU is the Duo Bios mix-up. I try to block, but that just ends in my eating a high-low mix-up that feels like an unblockable. One idea I have is to simply fly up. However, I'm sure there will be times where that's not an option? Any tips?

Thanks! after messing around with Rachel today some more, I have a question that I still have difficulty understanding even after reading on the wiki: What are the lotuses for and why is Barrel lotus used more than Beelze? Lastly, how do you guys feel about Rachel after the patch? She still seems strong to me, but I'd like to know the opinions of more experienced Rachel players than myself since I've only used her for a day and a half.
