As a PC player, I didn't have the month head start, so I kinda based my team off streams and vids. But now, starting to re-think my team. I'll probably stick w/ Chie+Hyde til 6/19. I was already really looking forward to Vatista and Naoto and will try them out. Both look really nice based off what little I've seen. But anyway, how are you guys feeling about your teams? Did you make any changes? Any disappointments? Pleasant surprises?

I'm super excited about Naoto. She seemed like a given if we expected ASW to have all of the investigation team in the game, but after Aigis was announced, I guess all bets were off. I liked Vatista announced as well, tho I don't plan to play her. Hakumen is cool, i figured he was a shoe-in.

I had Carmine being one of the 40, possibly being revealed today on a bet I had w/ a buddy. I also thought Jubei had a strong chance to be in the 40, but definitely didn't see him getting revealed this early. Aigis? Wouldn't have guessed at all that she'd be in the 40. Really surprised a non-Investigation Team character got revealed this early/at all.

I see some minor things updated here and there, but just curious. I need something to read at work! =D

Ugh, not a huge fan of the Discourse format. But it's not terrible. Regardless, good for them and hopefully that still doesn't affect Dustloop forum activity.

Honestly, I don't mind 20 base characters and I don't mind 20 DLC characters. But Blake and Yang as DLC is nearly unforgivable. They're titular characters from the franchise that's in the cross-over. I feel like this was rushed for some reason...to be a community event at EVO2018? I'm really confused why they did this, it has to be more than just "how can we maximize revenue from DLC"... I'd be more forgiving if 14-16 of the 20 DLC characters were NOT BB characters, but that's obviously not likely. What DLC shit w/ DBFZ? $40 for 8 characters is a pretty standard $5/character rate. And it's Namco's decision anyway, not ASW's. But re: your pricing, why do you think it's $8/character? You even pointed out DBFZ's "shit", which is just $5/character. So what makes you think it'll be $8 for BBCTB? Just b/c of Jubei in CF? GGXrdREV's DLC characters were just $5. Not sure if Team Red/Blue decide for their respective games or if a central figure at ASW decides the prices, but Jubei may be the exception to the rule. Wasn't he like the most hyped new character in BB history, so they knew they could charge a premium? Plus, I'm sure ASW maybe learns from this backlash and tries to pull a solid for the fans.

Looks like there's some silver lining to SRK forums closing. Still, RIP to them. But yay, Dustloop!

What I was afraid of. Shame really, I only discovered Dustloop last year and thought it was barren just due to the ages of the current ASW games. I'd much rather this be more active than having to resort to reddit. Oh well, will just have to adapt.

Is this sub-forum expected to be busier once DBFZ launches? I haven't found any other forums discussing this highly hyped game. Granted, I haven't really looked either... >_> Please don't tell me reddit or GamFAQS forums will be the place to be!!!

In general, I'd just throw fireballs and basically be patient. Wait for an opportunity to do an air combo for big damage or an opening to knockdown my opponent to do a fireball from behind + 5H crossup. Sorry to necro! But also testing out something on these forums =) (how to make the forum bolded w/ new content again).

Wonder if current ratio is how the final roster will look? Looking bleak for supporting RWBY characters!

I'm a bit curious how getting into self-publishing will affect ASW as a business. Will they only do self-published titles? Will they still work as contractors for other companies? Will they publish/localize other developers' games? etc etc. Kinda makes me think of Gearbox. They have their own publishing division for some of their own games and other studios' games they publish for them. But they also still get outsourced to do dev work on other companies' games (Sega, 2K) and have some of their own IPs still published by other companies (2K. Tho BL is co-owned I believe, but Duke is 100% owned by Gearbox, still published by 2K).
