Any idea on if the vita version will require an online pass like the ps3 version did? Also because the ps3 dlc is cross-buy it makes me wonder if the vita does require an online pass then the ps3 online pass might let you play online on the vita.

I believe many ps players are also PC gamers so I think he playstatiin consensus is a little more variable than it appears.

Just a general question: What console do you prefer playing BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, and possibly other Arc System Works games on? Right now the ps3 is the main platform and GG Xrd is slated for ps4, but do you think playstation is the best fit for the series or should it be on steam too? Xbone for killer instinct fans? Amazon's upcoming android powered console? Wii U? Arc has also skipped nintendo consoles generally with no fighter on Wii or Wii u. Should they give nintendo some more attention? Note forgot about handhelds so added at the last minute. Hence you can disregard of vote handheld if you so feel.

Prize pay out should be about 5-10k usd if you make the top 8. That might be enough to attract Japanese players.

That's true but notice they are talking about frameworks, if Snk uses an existing framework like Unreal then they cut out engine dev entirely.

The ps3 is MIPS based, the xbone and ps4 are x86 much like the tatio type x is, hence porting should be theoretically easier because the 3 machines share a common assembly language and C. As for the graphics thing if SNK goes with unreal 4, cry engine, or even unity for a 3D engine they could have better effects quickly. Guilty Gear Xrd is unreal3 last time I checked.

Yeah that didn't occur to me at the time, but the intel based processors x86 isn't it? Would possibly make development easier for them, after all their tatio games are basically windows games on intel processors.

Had not seen a system like the grid system that consistently circulates a 10% damage buff through out the match based on play style (apparently you can gain grd by properly blocking too), but yes most games do reward more aggressive players in some fashion. Edit: ok to be honest I had not looked that I depth at fighting game system and was in the Aquarazza thread and saw the sensitivity meter which is similar. P.s. Is Sega leaving under night in Arcades or will it get a home console release eventually?

I owned BB: Calamity Trigger for PC (bought it in Thailand for like 10 usd) there were no online games. Beautiful port. The real problem is cross play, if they could make the games compatible with their ps3 fan base it would work, but further fracturing their players by system just alienates people. Skull girls PC is the only way to go now... Btw if I own the direct2drive copy of gg Isuka can I get a steam key? Wondering... Regardless it's an old game published by someone who is not arc systems works, hopefully this will mean arc system works takes their future games direct to steam.

Local play in calamity trigger in Thailand I did Rachel Allucsrd, but in CS extend for vita doing platinum the trinity lag issues with zones like Rachael make psn play harder. When CP hits for Vita might try Kokonoe provided the patched Kokonoe is not in bad form to play (have been watching streams of Cp ps3 via twitch and know she is op but just like the character so much) then again I am a noob so even with an op character you could probably still best me. Usually pick just by design and not play style.

Twitch streams of blazblue CP were to much for me so I settled for the next best thing and bought a Vita with BlazBlue CS Extend. Loving this thing.
