  1. @Teyah do you plan on testing PC Revelator? I'm under the impression it's a bit more laggy than Sign...
  2. I'd say he's a zoner with a good surprise attack factor in his air dash and vortex based on his offensive. His command grab seems good tho. It's slow but doesn't have a hurtbox apparently and since there's an anti air version it's not like they can just react and jump... I also don't like his parry. Too much startup and when he's hit he's pushed back making punishing things harder. It'd be better if he stayed in place. Honestly i'd rather just blitz.
  3. This thread isn't about how GG is, was or has been, it's about making it appeal to a wider audience. Adding more and more things like this besides the ones it already has won't help. BTW yes, they ARE going overboard on Xrd.
  4. Show your non otaku/FGC friends a match between Elphelt vs May in japanese and watch how much they'll get into this. This shit doesn't appeal to normal people in the West.
  5. Two things don't help GG: 1. Adding all this otaku stuff like Elphelt (btw no, it isn't a balanced game with her around). 2. Selling policy of selling every single update as a separate game. Heck even i who am a FG player by life dropped Blazblue because of this. Let alone all casuals who are trying to get into the game.
  6. So basically they think Elphelt is ok as she is?
  7. I just tested this... it's really easy, i though it'd be something more like USF4 proximity OS. I hope they patch this out in Revelator.
  8. Hi guys. I'm new to GG (played the old ones but didn't have a competitive mindset) so i was wondering something about wakeup reversals... I play with P/S/HS - K/S+HS/D on my stick. Coming from a Street Fighter and Marvel background, since the wakeup window is small, i've been doing DP motion + double plink HS into S into S+HS. Of course it's not optimal but i think it's better having a Vapor Thrust S coming out than nothing (i main Ky). My question is, does it actually help? The command list does show the "plink" like it'd in Street Fighter 4, and i do feel they come out easier but it might just be something from my mind, as strange as it sounds, i land plinkable 1f links easier than unplinkable 2f links in SF4. Anyone been doing this and know if it's a thing?
  9. -Though due to and correction, immediately passive possible after combo 〆B lion (5AA5B5C> C Sekka> 5A5C2C> B Lion stiff substantial increase of Al-air C Gio clearly landing stiffness after · B Lion feint to be passive, and stagnation in the air and, landing stiffness is not, misplaced anger SB cross does not lead I think this one means: It's possible to recover faster after Lion B in the corner bnb (this would be bad), more landing recovery after air Zio C, Lion B feint takes longer, DP ch into Cross Slash SB doesn't work anymore. Ouch, the nerf bat sure hurts.
  10. I just map the AOA to the 3rd upper button and mash it. It's really easy like this.
  11. Yes i was already frustrated enough downloading it 5 times... i'd be nuts if it didn't end up working. They better start thinking about fixing this... because i'm having second thoughts about buying a digital copy of GGXRD. My error code was 80029564 though. One thing i forgot to mention is that i always use privoxy to download PS3 games since it makes it much faster. In case you guys wanna give it a shot: http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=34192
  12. Thanks for the clarification. I finally managed to install it after downloading for the 5th time. In case anyone is still having trouble what i did was i went to the game's page in PSN Store, clicked Download but never hit the "download in background" option, just let it download everything right from the store. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not but this worked for me.
  13. Did you download it 5 times or just tried to install the same file over and over?
  14. The same is happening to me and it never happened before. I've already downloaded it twice.
  15. Happy Magika is so bad it's not even funny. So much for 100 damage. Seriously at least if could do some regular damage, why 100?
  16. If you guys could do this it'd be most appreciated! I think a lot of people are getting into Blazblue now with Chrono Phantasma would find this useful. Sorry if this question was already asked lol i guess i'll read the entire thread to get some bits of info as it goes along. I see. Yeah i play Zero May Cry and can do most of the advanced stuff but i actually think Blazblue is harder. Maybe i'm just not used yet. Since her damage output seems low i guess i'll try to focus on finding resets or setups for her instead of maximizing damage. A friend of mine who's a more experient BB player than i am told me she has so nice setups with the bubble on wake. Thanks for the help,
  17. Hi guys, i'm new to Platinum and the whole Blazblue series. I have a lot of fighting game experience though with AE and Marvel. What i was wondering is do you guys think its mandatory to compete at higher level (i'm nowhere near there i know) to learn the very best combos? Is there a high damage gap in doing the best instead of some basic stuff for Platinum? From a cr.B near the corner im hitting around 3200 which seems pretty low considering a friend of mine does tons of damage with Hakuman. Thanks for the patience.
