  1. Bizarre. Well that's a shame. Unfortunately for me gimp is all I have access to. I appreciate your efforts.
  2. I'm not sure if its just me but Izanami's appear to be broken. Not all but a good portion. The broken ones load into gimp with a white bar and transparent space, but this doesnt happen to all of them, and its only her. The other characters affects all load in perfectly fine. Can anyone else confirm this?
  3. I hate to be a bother, but does anyone by chance have a link to the arcade sprites for CPEX?
  4. I was disappointed to see this wasn't its own render, so I took a crack at it myself. I hope its clean enough. It appears to have some rough edges in the browser but once a background layer has been added it smooths out. I'm no pro at this but hopefully it'll do. Added alternate link for those not signed in. https://postimg.org/image/igtfova1r/
  5. Not at all a problem. Thank you so very much.
  6. Very much appreciated. Cant thank you enough. At the risk of looking like an ungrateful ass tho I have to ask...any idea when we might see the arcade character sprites/renders? Thank you for all your effort.
  7. Considering this will literally not make them any money either unless they charge for it(which is both a horrible idea and very unlikely)I think its safe to say that unless they do an extend version and actually give a damn about bringing the product up to par...that a dub is never happening.
  8. While I understand this position and the other comments being made I cant agree with it entirely. Money talks, and if CF sells just as well as past titles, or hell if it sells even more than the message we send them is that a dub isn't necessary. When a company drops a feature from a series and they keep making the same if not more money they aren't gonna go back and put it in again. The flip side is that if it doesn't sell well enough they might give up on it all together. Its a no win situation. Even so I cannot pay them directly for this title. If they would come out and say a dub was being added down the road then that would be an entirely different story, but as it stands the chances of getting a dub are basically non existent. The dub was a huge feature of Blazblue and without it we basically have a glorified import. I'm looking forward to the game but I still hold them to a higher standard than this and will instead opt to grab a used copy down the road. About the potential reasons for the game to under sell. I think its fair to assume that if that happens its for only 2 real reasons. A lack of a dub, and people assuming an extend version is on the way(regardless of what they say to the contrary). CF looks flat out better than any other title so far, so these 2 things are the most likely to have an influence on its sales. True or not both of these things create a perception of greed to the consumers, and that's what would hurt the game.
  9. It may not be a pretty situation but they did it to themselves. I don't know the true reason for not doing a dub but frankly I dont care. A dub is part of the package, and now its suddenly not here, and they expect me to just accept it? I love Blazblue. I honestly do, but I'm not about to forget that its still a product. A product developed by a company, and that company has to earn my money. It doesn't just get it regardless of its decisions. No dub after consistently delivering one for what frankly appears to be for no other reason than because they think they can get away with it doesn't sit well with me, and I wont reward a company for half assed products. The western release of CF is basically a glorified import, and thats not good enough for me. If the end result of all this ends up being that they just stop releasing these games outside Japan than honestly I dont even see the issue. Not only can people still import(which the western CF borders on being anyway)but there are dozens of other games out there to be playing. I'm sure we can all find something else worthwhile. Bottom line is that I will not smile and give a company money while they give me the finger. With anime becoming more and more common and popular among people it never used to be a dub is frankly part of the bare minimum as far as I'm concerned. I've gotten people into Blazblue who dont even really like anime, and thats only because it had an English dub. I myself wouldn't have ever bothered to give it a 2nd look if it didnt have one. Most people are not prone to tolerating a language they cant understand. Tho admittedly Terumi is still hilariously fun in both languages. The waiting time isnt really all that relevant either unless your part of the hardcore or just dont want to wait it out. The games population will still drop after a month like all fighting games do, and the Japanese players and importers will still have a huge leg up on the people who wait for the official western releases. An early release that barely matters in exchange for no dub? In a year I wont care that the game came out early. I'll care that I never got the English dub.
  10. Giving English speaking players the option to buy Japanese dubbed audio for a game, and holding their native language dub hostage behind a paywall are two very, very different things. People might pay for it, but I promise you they wont do it happily. That's not even going into how pathetically unprofessional and greedy an act like that would look. If its included as free day 1 dlc then thats obviously another story, but if it doesnt launch with the game, or release as day 1 dlc not only will that create a negative impression but it basically confirms there will be no dub.
  11. Perhaps the point I was driving at was lost when I was putting my post together. I'm not implying people are incapable of reading text, but that realistically very, very few with intentions of importing the game are going to buy a dubbed version simply to read the story text when it hits the west, and the ones who do were already interested to begin with. It only serves to keep people from becoming interested who cant get past the language barrier, and anger the fans its already created because now it suddenly doesnt have a dub. It has nothing to do with being a "dub enthusiast", and everything to do with presentation. For the reasons you stated I have to agree that yes it is very unprofessional to release the game without a dub, but more than just those reasons it has to do with attracting new players that otherwise wouldn't give it a look, and now...perhaps even retaining previous players. Having no dub whatsoever is very off putting to many people, and frankly doesnt speak very highly of the product regardless of how one feels about it. As you said its just a very unprofessional look. As for adding a dub after DLC...I very highly doubt it. I cant say I know enough about other games to know if this ever happens or not, but I havent heard of it before, and I very much doubt that if its never been done its about to start now. If it doesnt release with a dub I cant imagine it will ever have one.
  12. I'll be more than a little pissed off if they just up and dont bother to dub the game. At that point I'd legit have to stop and ask why they even bothered to release the game outside of Japan to begin with. The hardcore, and the people who cant wait are just gonna import it anyway. So with no dub what exactly is the point of bringing it over? Menu's? Text? No ones gonna even care about that. Navigating the menu is easy, and a for a large portion(if not the majority)of the English players the lack of a dub will be off putting. Despite what many weebs might say a massive amount of people want it in their own language. Myself included. Dubbing is getting progressively better, and anime in general more popular. And there is no way the hardcore portion of the playerbase is whats selling the game enough to even warrant bringing it over to begin with. Its the larger more casual playerbase that does that, and you'd be surprised at how many of them arent sub only purists, or even anime fans to begin with. Especially considering its not just an anime but also a fighting game. Its very unlikely you will win anyone over who wasn't already interested to begin with if you dont provide an English dub, and if their only goal is to maintain exactly the same number of sales they've had...well then the lack of dub wont even get them that. As it will absolutely alienate players. Blazblue has the extra appeal of being both a fighting game and an anime. It can pull fans of either in, but not doing a dub out of nowhere in a series that has consistently had one will not do them any favors. I mean c'mon...even the Blazblue anime got dubbed. I'm not convinced its not getting one, but I am becoming worried it might not, and thats not something I ever expected to worry about with Blazblue. If the worse happens tho...it will honestly probably be a deal breaker for me. The gameplay initially got my attention, but I cannot get invested into characters, or story if its not presented in my own language, and when you take away a games personality(which is what the lack of a dub would do for me)leaving just the exercise of playing the game I'll just find something else to play that can provide both, and I know I'm not the only one.
  13. I'm looking for advice reguarding fighting Jin specifically. I'd post in the jin match up topic, but its so desolate I'm not sure it would get a response. My question is how does one deal with pressure from jin safely and without meter? My cousin mains Jin and his entire strategy is to get in close enough to start using a combo similiar to this. 4B>5BB>5C>2C>6C He repeats this kinda thing until something hits which he thens uses to go into 2D or 6D He gets 3100-3300ish on average if this hits just once, and then he just tries for it all over again. I'm pretty bad at this game so I imagine I'm just a scrub for losing to this all the time, but its driving my nuts because nothing seems to be able to beat it, and its completely risk free to jin as far as I can tell, but if I dont punish it perfectly I lose 1/3rd of my health bar. If I dont have any meter to spend I'm pretty helpless as it feels like its an air tight string of attacks, and its not easy with meter either. Another question I'd like to ask is about grabs in a general sorta sense. There are times when I get grabbed out of attacks that have already started and the audio plays for the attack, but I just eat the damage anyway. I'm at a loss as to how this happens so often.
  14. Reguarding Terumi's J.2D...is there some kinda trick to making it easier to use? I'm finding it very difficult to keep a combo going with it or using it fast enough to not be punished while applying pressure. For one reason or another trying to jump cancel into it is very hard for me to manage, so I'm wondering if there is an input that it still reads that makes it easier. If not I guess I'm just really awful at using it correctly. I need to master using it properly to make things easier for me tho, so any advice is appreciated.
  15. I have a question reguarding counter hypers when being pressured in the corner. Specifically Terumi's 236236A and Haku-men's 236236D. Not sure if other characters have a move of this sort. When is it safe to attempt these moves while being pressured and can attempting these imputs actually hurt your situation? At times they go off exactly as I'd like them and at other times I seem to get punished for trying them. I'm just trying to figure out if its an execution issue on my end. Another question relating to being put in the corner I'd like to ask is when to air tech, and when to roll out of the corner? My opponents seem to roll out of the corner fairly often but I get punished for not just teching and guarding more often than not. Thanks to anyone who can give any advice.
  16. I have an admittedly stupid question. What does Auto Stage and Auto music select actually do? I admit I havent used it more than a handful of times, but if I had to guess I'd say it picks music and stages according to the characters in the match? Or maybe that was just a coincidence on my end for the few matches I used it.
  17. It's almost eerie that you specifically mentioned the stuff I was working on yesterday nstalkie. I did actually manage some consistency in the 623D 632146C combo. Tho the hitbox for 623D feels really small sometimes. How's the timing for landing 623D after performing 236236B, and does it require a back dash to land? I couldnt land it consistently enough to make a good judgement about it. Just seems to me with inputs this specific that playing reliably online is almost impossible. I havent played more than a few matches online prior to learning a combo or two so I cant say for sure, but it certainly gives the impression that inputs with no wiggle room would do more harm than good for the online aspect. I appreciate the advice on how to improve. I just dont like that I feel I have to focus so hard on the execution instead of just reacting to the other player. I'm hoping that aspect fades as you get more accustomed to performing moves. I always get tense when I attempt hypers and such, and the amount of matches I could have won if they went off when I tried for them is higher than I care to admit. All that said I really appreciate the response.
  18. Really appreciate this post. Was able to put together the combos you have all discussed with this information. At the risk of sounding absoulutely terrible at fighting games tho I have to ask how in the hell do you guys consistently do certain moves in this game? Maybe its just me but I cannot for the life of me do moves like 236236B or 623D consistently. Particularly the 623D. I have performed both moves in training mode multiple times with the exact same inputs shown. I'm at a total loss as to how I'm putting in the same inputs for 2 different moves. Is it about speed or the timing of the D button? I know I have to be doing something wrong but it honestly feels like I have RNG with this somethimes. I'm also embarassed to admit I have trouble making a dash work as I'd like it to. I know its just 66 but for whatever reason sometimes it just doesnt work or its later than I want it to be. I dont know how to read when its usable after performing certain moves. And another question I'd like to ask is about the speed of inputs. Do you guys input the next move in the combo before the current one is finished, or is it about timing it perfectly? I get the impression that some combo's dont work without lightning fast inputs. I've played games such as marvel and soul calibur and I've never had this kinda trouble before. This is the first time I've felt like I'm actually fighting the game itself instead of just learning it. Are you all able to perform your combos without frustration? I could really use some pointers for adjusting to a more technical fighting game. I'm sorry for asking questions of this sort but as far as I can tell I'm the only person alive that has this kinda trouble.
  19. I'm a complete scrub here so can anyone please tell me what things like Houtenjin, or Zaneiga, or for that matter anything that isnt a command I can read is? Or where I can find out what they are? I cant even begin to attemp these combo's because I have no idea what these things are. I'd really appreciate it.
