Thanks for the tips! I'm feeling a bit better about some of these harder match ups.

I'm pretty new to Slayer. I was using Chipp but got tired of every battle being an uphill fight. I find that Slayer has a good balance of movement, speed, and damage output. I find myself really struggling against Sin, Ky, and Sol. Any pointers? Also, Dandy Step usage eludes me. I find myself getting punished frequently when I use it. I appreciate any pointers or advice.

Finally got my Hori RAPv4 in on Saturday. This is, hands down, the most beautiful stock stick I've ever owned. The sticker has a nice glossy coating on it that is absolutely beautiful. The Hyabusa stick is amazing and I really like the Kuro buttons. Bravo, Hori, bravo.

Play-Asia is honest so I don't think you'll lose your money. I paid by credit card and the charge had already fallen off the account by the time I cancelled.

I ran into the same problem. Play-Asia had the midnight blue Hori shipping soon. A few days later the status was changed to sold out. When I contacted them, they hoped to get it in to send to me. They've changed their system to make cancelling orders harder. Then Mad Catz screwed the pooch. My eBay order is moving through customs now. You'd think that either MC or Hori would be kicking out sticks to meet the seemingly endless demand.

I ordered a RAP4 on eBay with EMS shipping for about the same price as the MC stick. I've always been happy with Hori products so I'm happy. I'm hoping I have it by the weekend.

I'm really pissed off at Mad Catz. My order for the GG stick processed and charged my card last Wednesday. The stick still hasn't shipped and the charge fell off from my card so I called them today and was informed that the GG sticks were actually not in-stock but a preorder with no actual ship date. I cancelled the order and bought a HRAP4 off of eBay and it should be here between Friday and Wednesday of next week. I love EMS.

I don't keep track, really. So long as I'm having fun during the match and learning from the replay, I'm set!

Both are interesting articles. I'm more positive on the game than Mike Z and find my opinion to be closer to Sirlin. I don't think Sirlin meant to insinuate that everything was factual. The fact that this is an opinion piece on a blog overrides that and makes it unnecessary for him to add phrases such as in my opinion; the fact that he's writing it communicates that to the reader. Looks like I got ninja'd on this point.

I ordered a Hori RAP4 Midnight Blue silent stick from Play Asia. It cost slightly less than a Mad Catz stick, maybe a few dollars less. It will ship in 5 - 15 days.

I'm ready to upgrade to PS4 but the stick situation is killing me. I went to Mad Catz to preorder the P4U stick and it's sold out already. Damn.

How is the online? I may get it when the US release drops.

I'm planning to get the US PS3 release. How does the netplay compare to P4A Ultimax? Netplay is a make or break for me. There's no scene here unless it's a Capcom game.

Thanks for the recommendation to try out Chip! After messing around with Chip in AC+R, I'm all in. I didn't realize how big a difference in speed there is between characters. I think I have a main for Xrd.

That's not rude at all; in fact, that could very well be the case. The most time I've spent with GG was AC+ on Wii back in 2009. I've put in a lot of time with P4A in the past few months. I'm interested in Xrd but don't have a PS4 so I do not have access to the demo. I'd hate to buy it and then find I don't enjoy the game.

Thanks for the input. I'm reinstalling Accent Core + R to see if maybe that's the issue. I compared it to Reloaded on PSP and AC feels very slow comparatively; almost like the characters are walking in mud. Reloaded feels much closer to what I recall of GG.

P4U2 feels faster but I am judging off of the PS3 Accent Core port. Is that maybe a bad port? I'm comparing Minazuki to Ky. I recall the Wii version of AC feeling pretty fast.

I find Accent Core to be pretty slow. How does Xrd compare to it in terms of speed?

I'm not sure if I'll be able to attend the meet up tonight. My wife was in a car accident last night so we may be dealing with insurance stuff tonight. I think her car is totaled but luckily she is okay.

I find a lot of people play in lobbies, specifically Tartarus, rather than ranked.
