ggs to everyone i played. special shoutout to buttface, that marie is volatile

Boss Marie has a massive damage buff. Her Shuffle Super involving the fire card deals 12k damage alone. Boss Margaret has an unblockable sweep and Hassan Tobi, her healing super refills all of her health bar, she can cancel her AoA teleport into another AoA teleport, her DP deals 6980 (which is the starting price of P4U2 funny enough), and her 5A now hits from full screen and has greatly increased mobility like Liz. It should also be noted that Boss Mitsuru can inflict freeze from even just a throw tech or counter assault, her fencing kick super inflicts freeze on hit that must be recovered in more time, even should the kick miss. Boss Ken's damage is buffed.

Also, for those who got the JP version and was curious on what the JP pre-texts (aka Quick Message) always said I discovered the translated words and decided to write them down in case anyone wants to use them in the future. Let's make this a good one! Thanks for the game. Good game! That was fun! Bye-bye! I can't. I'm really sorry! Let's play! OK! OK? Thanks! Sorry! A serious duel to the death! Let's take it easy and have some fun. Don't use your main character. Use the same character again, I want revenge! Y-You're strong!! AFK BRB Bathroom! Sorry to keep you waiting. Last match. Can I friend you? You should leave 'em be... That's trendy. Calm down. I comprehend. Every's days! Great! At your Junes! C'est magnifique! Tres bien! Good one! Only people have human rights. You're gonna be my knight, right? I am the shadow...The true self... Feather Change! Ta-dah da-daah! Please check the room name. Please pass. Disbanding the room.

Here's a strategy for most characters when going into Score Attack: Take advantage of the AI--don't fight them as if you would a human opponent. By that I mean don't waste your meter pulling off extensive combos, but rather save it for the endings which will help you finish them off quicker Find a combo that knocks them down. You want to be up close and personal when they hit the ground and make the first hit as soon as they tech. Using this method also helps if they have meter, as you can simply jump or roll past them should they activate their supers. For Kanji's Awakening grab and Liz's Awakening grab, you need to knock them down first, run, and jump the moment they get up so that the super will whiff. Should you happen to win the second round, gold burst, then IK. Sometimes the AI might block it, but if you're careful enough it shouldn't happen. The characters in which score attack mode is no challenge for them whatsoever in my opinion: Labrys, Naoto, Yukari, Adachi (note that you cannot earn his navi by beating all four courses with him) The characters in which score attack mode is going to be a HUGE PROBLEM: Elizabeth, Aigis And trust me, if I can beat SA and gain navis with Yu, Chie, Yukiko, Kanji, Naoto, Mitsuru, Akihiko, Labrys, Yukari, Junpei, Ken, and god forbid Liz, you guys can do it too. (No Yosuke and Teddie navis from me because they're lame, though I am currently working on my Aigis navi and have no idea on how to unlock Nanako and Fuuka navis besides buying them) Also you get unlimited continues, and that takes some serious pressure off to begin with, so relax!

I wanna get a title that says "Stay Away From MEEEEEEEEEEEE"

Allowing to reveal some shitty secrets of Boss Margaret. 5A not only hits from fullscreen, but can autocombo as well Unblockable sweep that hits even from full screen Can cancel AoA teleport into yet another AoA teleport Her healing super is incredibly fast all-around Her DP if connected takes you high into the sky and takes away roughly 3/4s of your lifebar. When they named the sequel Persona 4 Arena Ultimate Suplex Hold, they named it in worship of Boss Margaret. Hassan Tobi does 12000 damage and is unblockable Like Boss Liz, faster mobility

No, as portraits, like these I would love to find these portraits in Ground Horizon and BBCP #13, respectively, if I can. -
Don't think I insinuated that; I was curious to know how you felt about her, that is all. We can only agree to disagree, right? On another note, you all better be thanking Atlus that you only fight Boss Liz in Score Attack and not Boss Margaret. Boss Margaret is hell, unleashed.

Does anybody know where I can find Chaos' Ground Horizon color and Litchi's BBCP #13 color as portraits? -
Ugh, well at least I know now you feel that way. Your views on Marie change yet or is it still the same?

On a more positive note, I like to think Yukiko's new tools helps keep her on par with certain problems she's had in the past (214A now beats out Yu's 5B at round start, Firebird eats up so many projectiles including Kanji's charge move and Yukari's zoning, etc.). She may have had trouble defending against momentum in the past but thankfully guard assault and guard roll work in her favor, otherwise Dia eats the frames of an attack if the opponent is too pressure-heavy. I also believe she has a few tools that lets her not only Fire Break safely, but also push the opponent towards her to allow her to confirm off of her 5AAA unblockable setup. When Yukiko gains momentum, she can be just as fierce and threatening as any other character and also, I cannot think of any character who can capitalize off of random hits (especially non-counter hits). She takes work, but once you're in there it's very advantageous and very powerful. Also I thought Zealous switched to Yukari?

It's a sign that Margaret and extra DLC is coming.
-
If you did that you wouldn't live up to your name lol
-
Would love to hear your reasons on that.

Point well taken

I respect your impressions and all, but the article you wrote is really suspect. By the way you put things, it sounds like every DLC character starts out weak and unfortunate in their first week of being released, as if there's a godlike player who has mastered her already. Adachi went through the same thing, and now suddenly people are claiming him to be really good now. If you really want to get a solid impression from them I would say wait for a least a month after you learned their mechanics, tools, strengths, and weaknesses--ALL of them. For the record, I have no plans to main Marie whatsoever, but I don't believe she's as weak as you think. You just need a lot more time before rating her. On another note, it does seem as though most players are lost with certain characters until JP players discuss them and chart them on tier lists, running with that until the end. That's really sad. Also, get ready for Margaret in 6 days along with some Persona 4 Animation dlc music

I wish it were possible for me to recolor Yukiko's portrait to her #19 color palette in P4U2...it's just so pretty T_T -
Although I somewhat have a problem with your reasoning behind tier lists and whatnot, I'll move from this and just instead offer my impressions on the console characters. Rise: Half-wit, Half-braindead, meaning half of the time you're gonna have to be clever to cause openings and rush-ins, and half of the other time just spouting combos once you're actually in there. You don't really have to be as creative once Rise up, close and personal--just focus on optimal combos and such. She's actually very threatening and deadly when played properly and I'd say she's a well balanced character. Word to the wise--DO NOT DP if the opponent is on winning round AND has IK meter. With the exception of Liz, Yukari, possibly Akihiko Adachi: I wouldn't be surprised if quite a bit of people drop him later on down the road. He has a rewarding factor like Junpei, but it takes a great deal of work to actually pull off. He also has trouble against zoners. His supers are nice and have a penchant for catching people off-guard, but other than that Adachi needs a lot of work in order to master. Marie: Quite fun. She feels really natural compared to some of the other newcomers. Has nice range and feels really solid, but has some issues zoning-wise, but rush opponents with ease with her useful tools. My guess is she'll place higher than Adachi for sure, but who exactly she'll place under, who knows... Ken/Koro: Don't you call these pair the "Chaos" of this game--they're seriously not even close. I assume a lot of people will say these two will be low-tier, but I say try fighting a set with a good Ken/Koro player, because it might change your perspective. They're quite annoying and brilliant at the same time, as if you try to go after Ken, Koro will get you, and if you try to focus on taking out the dog, Ken will use that as an opening. Their corner pressure is godlike, and their combo potential is a lot stronger than you think. All I'm really trying to say is don't be quick to write these guys off, because I believe they are a lot stronger than people would think. ...if I had to take a guess on where they'd place on the tier chart... Rise - A+ Adachi - B- Marie - A Ken & Koro - B+

Can anyone confirm if there is a Marie navigator?
-
Pardon my french, it's just fucking weird.

Correct. It's an idea that started in BBCP and has carried over ever since. For those of you who don't know, the color is there to symbolize the true spirit and skill of the player, regardless of the rank and statistics that appears in their profile...err, that, or how much they can tolerate netplay. >_> Colors come as follows in P4U2 Gray (Novice) Green (Rookie) Dark Green (Amateur) Blue (Midway) Yellow (Prominent) Orange (Skilled) Red (Godlike) So if you want to scare people when you join into lobbies, start seeing red and go crazy
