Baiken has some weird chain and claw thing where her arm used to be. It's in her Accent Core artwork, as well as a few of her sprites.

Oh that's interesting. I was wondering if he was going to make an appearance, considering there hasn't been much talk about his presence in the game, but what would a GG game be without That Man? They've also been showing his face more and more, at least for his "younger" appearances, but I hope it never goes beyond that, it's much more interesting if you know next to nothing about him.

Oh yeah, I had this issue with a lot of games too. If you're worried about your W/L ratio, then of course you'd go for people you feel you'd have a guaranteed win against, and that's no fun for anyone!

I haven't played GG2 (never owned a 360), but from what I've heard, they still don't see eye to eye on pretty much everything. Rivalry is still very much there, but maybe it's not as intense as it was to start.

I'd honestly prefer that. It's good to play seriously, but sometimes there are people who get really caught up with their W/L stat and they end up being not very fun to play with in the end. Yeah, everyone wants to win, but with stats like that openly visible, some people may lose their temper when they lose.

Aksys is pretty similar sounding to Arc System Works. I might just be people thinking Aksys is just a shorted version of ARC SYStem or something.

What I've heard is that there's a version of the netplay patch that works for all english versions of the game. If it works between the different releases, well it's probably very likely since each release is just the same game republished, but I may be wrong. I'm probably not going to buy the steam version since I've bought this game twice before, so I wouldn't know exactly.

Yeah that's probably how it works. I'm not even sure if Gears can die of old age. Doctor Paradigm looks older than Sol, Sin, etc. but I doubt he has many issues with his age either.

It's exactly the same as the original PC release and the GOG release. No difference at all except this has steam trading cards and such.

I would buy it, but I've already got it on GOG before it got removed, and it's exactly the same so why bother. Either way I'm glad it got a steam release, maybe that'll help me get a few friends into the series.

I was considering doing that, but I also want it for collection purposes. Recently I've been trying to collect GG games with the box, manual, and all that jazz in good condition.

Ha, I got into GG when I rented GGX from a blockbuster a loooong time ago, and since then I can't seem get into any other fighters as much as I did with GG. I don't think it was just the gameplay that hooked me, since I'm not too knowledgeable with all the fighter stuff, what got me was the atmosphere, characters, and soundtrack, which are all wonderful, the series just has something special about it all around.

I'm probably going to pick up Overture during the holidays, just to bridge the gap between XX and Xrd for myself. I have been watching matches and gameplay, and I think it's pretty unique and worth checking out, and the soundtrack seems great so that's a plus. It's only twenty dollars on ebay brand new, so why not!

It's always strange to say the ages of gear characters, particularly humanoid gears like Dizzy. For example, it's strange to think Ky had a child with someone who's currently only about 10 years old, but technically, that age is only how long she's existed, if you get what I mean. She has the body and mind of someone much older, so it's not as strange as it sounds. That's a whole other topic though, and it's probably been talked about a lot before.

Seems like the PS4 version is getting all the goodies, shame because I don't have the funds right now to get the PS4. Hopefully we get something nice with the PS3 version. A soundtrack or a Vocal album would be great, I love the Vocal Albums for the previous games, both english and japanese.

Ah I actually didn't know that about Arakune. I'm not as invested in BlazBlue, even though I've finished the stories for the first two games. That's actually pretty interesting, I'll have to keep my eyes peeled with Bedman when Xrd does come out.

Fair point, but what I meant to say by "difficult to understand" was that it's hard to understand, not necessarily that there is anything to understand. I guess my choice of words wasn't the best. Regardless, Xrd's full story is unknown as far as I know, so this could be another "wait and see" kind of topic for now.

I think the comparison was that it's hard to understand his speech. Incoherent speech and complex riddles are both pretty difficult to understand.

I love it! It makes it exciting to just "RIDE THE FIRE" while in Dragon Install! I wouldn't want every track to have vocals, but boss themes and a few special themes like that are more than okay with me. Adds some excitement.

I'm likely the "other" person Sin was referring too, been using the VastEdge app on a Galaxy S III. Well besides that I honestly love those original songs for VastEdge, I'm hoping they give them an official release as singles or as part of the official Xrd OST. You can actually hear some of the lyrics to one of the songs in this video, but it's got the sounds from the machine itself and the background sounds a bit louder than the song unfortunately.

I'll agree with you on that, something like the belt buckles or a hat would probably get me way more excited than the pad. I do want the pad though, just I'd be way more excited for a wearable bonus, or even the OST.

There's a lot of evidence with dates that would make that a big fat continuity error, which Blade pointed out, but I won't discredit that theory either. What I really want to say though, is that It seems to be a topic that can turn into an unnecessary argument, so I say it's best to avoid that.

That's good to know, but that would mean having to buy it separately online if the PS3 version doesn't include one, which will probably be expensive. So I'll hope the PS3 version gets it as well.
