Sorry about the late reply. Yes, we have a decent number of people from Calgary who want to play GG. Names are as follows: From Calgary: RaptorIIC, Recna, Yaozzer, Stag.S, Reppuken, SixEightNine, Zante From wherever he lives in BC: Teyah There should be two teams, though I don't know who will be on what team yet.

Did you get MBAC or MBAA on PC? Because MBAC is native to the PC, whereas MBAA needs to be emulated with PCSX2. -

It's true. Weekly. Recordings may not be weekly, but we definitely get together every weekend, minus large and obvious holidays (x-mas). This. If you had a decent scene for GG/MB/AH3/not SSF4, we would probably come up once every month or two. Wouldn't even have to be a tournament, it could even just be rated ranbats or something. Alberta rated ranbats, if you know what I mean. -

I think 2-3 of our guys showed up. Should have been the Sol player, Johnny player, and maybe a Venom player. And yeah, you definitely get props for going out and hunting for players. It's hard, especially when a lot of people tend to quit due to being discouraged or whatever reason. Regarding your post copied from the BC guys, we pretty much share the same sentiments as they do. BBCS does feel like a degraded version of GG. The game still looks great, but the mechanics of the game are not something that we enjoy. That may be because the majority of us have played GG since XX. We grew up on the game, and BBCS takes all the fun and complex mechanics we enjoy and either gives them to everyone for free (super Jump Install for example), or removes them completely (FRCs, 1F jump). Now, to each their own. I understand some people really love BB, especially people who are just jumping into the fighting game scene and don't enjoy Super Shoto Fighter 4. Likewise, I understand some people absolutely hate the anime-style and prefer SSF4 over BBCS. As for us, it feels less painful to play SSF4 and GG, than it does to play GG and BBCS, simply because the game mechanics are significantly different, and don't lay over much into one another. Regardless, fuck all that shit when Arcana Heart 3 and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 are out. -

I laughed at the game, not the community. I don't care if you play MUGEN or random doujin fighter, that's your business. We don't play the game here for whatever reason I didn't care to state. And yeah, WCC2. We brought 10+ people (Teyah from BC included), spent a decent amount of cash and time to get up there, and you brought 2. Legitimately, that isn't your fault, and I respect the fact that you tried to make shit happen, but in the end nothing happened and that was out of your hands. I blame your GG "community", not you. To be honest, we had no idea about the BB turnout at Canada Cup, as we didn't bother attending. You can understand our skepticism. -

Calgary's been playing games other than SSF4 for a long time. http://www.youtube.com/raptoriic Just not BBCS. lawl @ that game. -
We used to have a cab, but our last arcade closed down. Nowadays, we just play on console.

I randomly update my Youtube with more matches. I just don't tell anyone about them. This being the exception I guess.

[AC] GGXX: Accent Core on PC - now (actually) playable online
RaptorIIC replied to Teyah's topic in Guilty Gear Online Play
I'll start coming and hanging out on IRC, get in some games of #R or Accent Lag online. We're totally hyped for you coming out to Calgary. We'll actually have a place for you to crash this time, so we're 100% up for some games / hanging out / drinks / whatever. Will have recording equipment ready too! -

@Teyah In the interest of promoting GGAC online, if you need a high end PC to test it on, let me know. My rig is a i7 920 (4 cores @ 2.6ghz), 2x crossfired 4890s, 6gb of DDR3 (PC3-12800). Fortunately, I'm also a CS graduate now (yay) / IT professional, so I also have some tools for monitoring network usage, packet dropping and other useless things. It's a lot better than you driving 7h to Calgary to kick my ass anyway. -

No, it should. Just the motion for it is a lot stranger than you'd expect. Also cola, you are my hero for switching to stick. Now you can crush us on the sticks on the machine!

Since I'm at work, I'll use this lazy avatar until I can get home and find better pictures.

Speaking of I-no talk, I dropped her as my main and switched (back) to HOS.

Related post; have you seen the late 2007 matchup chart that Moroha posted in the ABA boards? http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3272 - Moroha's thread http://jbbs.livedoor.jp/bbs/read.cgi/game/34745/1172460815/ - Direct link That may be modified now, but not to the point where I-no is any higher than a C tier character imho.
