Doesn't seem too bad for Faust, but I'm not understanding the changes to hack n slash. So they can just hold back when they get hit and will block after the second hit? That would mean its essentially garbage now, unless its highly + after I guess.

on block j2K is still very advantageous if you are low enough. You can start pressure (2K / 5P etc > whatever mixup). You shouldn't be doing high drills anyway.

Pullback is +7f and 5K has 7f startup so its a 1f link. 5P after pullback is a 2f link

I think its implied that any 5P/5K followup can be done after pullback since they link.

FDC j.K jc j.2K is tough, your not alone. Grind it out, don't get frustrated and it will come with time. The good thing is that even if your not able to always link the j.2K after and they end up blocking it, you will still be at quite an advantageous situation if they block (and you are low enough) due to the move's large amount of blockstun.

2K is the most consistent way to hit meaty which forces them to block, and it sets up many different things (especially jc FDC jK etc) 2S and c.S are also good options due to their long number of active frames (as well as c.S being +2), and can frame trap into 2H > pogo of course if you knock them down too far for a meaty hit then usually a jump in is better idea, either with jD or FDC jK

Some great stuff here another good use for j.D is after a successful sweep > item toss, dash on top of them (a single double tap of 66), jump and land on them as they wake up, putting out a j.D. this ambiguously crosses up and if done low enough combos into 5P > 2S > 2D. This is good out of the corner since the cross up helps you get back to center stage if you convert a 2K > 5H > 2D out of pressure (you will need to be aware of the opponent's strings). Another option that works well from pressure after poking out with 2P is 2P > 2H > item. 2P > 2H doesn't combo but pushes them back quite a lot for your escape (or if it even hits, bonus), and the item+its quick recovery is great for covering yourself. for item confirms, platform is kinda meh, its hard to confirm since it pops them up so fast, I usually just toss another item and try and catch them with a j.H on the way down. Black hole situation a lot of the time both players will be looking for a throw, drill whiff in front of them into throw is good for that situation I guess.

^he said he was able to perform the 236P*3 combo Kuma had a good point, watch the sample as it shows the timing of the inputs. after the pull back motion is complete there is a moment when they are still stunned but you are able to link the 5P. Try mashing 5P during the pull back and watch Faust closely for when the move actually starts, then try to time it. You can also mash P+S together and due to button priority and cancelling they will come out one after another.

Not at all, had a blast! if anything I learned not to sleep on Elphelt (or Bedman, for that matter) ggs all and merry christmas o<|:^{ -
Sol's get up (from flat motionless to first actionable frame) is about 20f (on the wiki the 49f is the full knockdown animation), you can buffer the directional motion during this time but not the button, and since Ky's attack hits meaty you have 1f to input the button. The way it works for me is to do the directional input when Sol starts doing a pushup and then mash S, although its still difficult to DP true meaties consistently.

I can bring a copy of Xrd but I don't think my console will be too happy in my backpack since I'm biking over. Get ready for my day 1 Faust -
I was looking at Faust's frame data for Xrd and I can't find what these numbers mean under the Guard column, for example: Ground Throw - Ground Throw: 78750 Air Throw - Air Throw: 192500 Hack n' Slash - Unblockabe: 175000 anyone care to explain?

hi Nate :^) I think there is a decent sized UNIEL community and I have been to 1 meetup so far, I believe pochp hosts them quite frequently on Friday (for all the fighters). You will become godlike at Nanase matchup, haha. -
