  1. amiami.com has a preorder that includes a downlode code for Sonia. Not sure how you would go about redeeming that if you even can, but I thought I would mention it.
  2. Kudos for that Vadsamoht! I've went ahead and changed the title accordingly too.
  3. This currency is called Brazillian Real, and it looks like this: "R$49.99". It is very weak currency so the American dollar trumps it significantly. Here is the website with the offer http://www.nuuvem.com/item/arcana-heart-3-love-max You need a Brazilian IP to get this, otherwise it will say "Not available in your country." and prevent you from buying it. If you want or need instructions on how to get a Brazilian IP click the spoilers. Buy this AT YOUR OWN RISK, I assume this release has no region lock therefore a Brazilion copy would be able to connect with other copies and vice versa, and so do you if you buy it.
  4. Yeah the Skype group's definitely still a thing. There was recently an update with Mac's Skype so it might have something to do with me switching back and forth from Windows. Do we already have an idea of who some top players are? I'm thinking of diving into some vids today for Ruili and Al Azif if no one has already. P.S. Examu Cup so much Ignis. : (
  5. There is a lot of Ruili support from the videos I've seen. Seems to be some consensus that she's a good character. I've heard nightmarish things about Ignis, might start studying up on her months prior. lol Dunno if Assists are relevant in tier information but whenever I've watched a Ruili vid they seem to enjoy using the laser girl for combo support, and it seems to work with other characters too. I'm wondering where Heart and Homura are going to be, tier-wise. Heart is a really stable character in her game, that could spell greater things in this game. No idea how they'll handle an SK character going 2D.
  6. This is gonna be the first game I'll try and main more than one character. Going for Al Azif and Ruili. Brah, just look at a numpad and try and hadouken on that shit. I got it way quicker that way. (Not dissing Dreiko's diagram or anything)
  7. I figure since no one's posted since before the update that this is still news. http://gematsu.com/2015/06/nitroplus-blasterz-coming-north-america-this-winter BasedXSeed once again. I made a skype group cuz I got too excited. Just send screwy-minus a contact and I'll add you right away.
  8. Hey guys. I'm having a room open all weekend. Unfortunately it seems a lot of netplayers are west coast so they won't be getting much out of it. I was hoping to find some people here who could participate. My twitch name is HundredGauntlets in case anyone wants to watch. And I know what this profile says but I go under a different name for streams (UNIELPR) so that's the name you're looking for if you trying to find the room "STREAM (EC HOST)". Thanks.
  9. So it's been mord I felt that warranted a new topic...? I would ask where everyvious from the fact that NO THREAD WAS MADE. So if anyone else is still around, give me a shoutout. I used to dabble in K into UNIEL. I'm learning Arcana Heart 3grow our scene. We don't bite at the moment. Preparing to gcome a masher in that). Waiting on BB Extend..anted Bridget or Jam...pretty disappointed in Revelator. In any case I stay in thand Greenville areas. Wanted to klakky (yeah you're gonna hear lame jokes like that most unrelated note I could possibly make, our forident.
  10. >"90s nostalgia" >fighting games I can't say I'm not interested in this, but yeah the older game kind of looks like crap. xD
  11. I think I've played a Nitroplus game before. Can't remember exactly what it was though. I know Saber from the VN, and Tsunemori from Psycho Pass...Sonico. .__. Compared to this I know a shitload of DFC chars. (I guess bcz they all got an anime. Shame on me. OTL) The characters look more like what I'd want in a fighting game though, so I'll keep a lookout for this. And the wait continues for J-Stars.
  12. I thought it was spelt Tweleve? Could someone tell me what exactly is the learning curve for Platinum? Pretty please.
  13. Gotcha. I've found myself thinking those things before, now that I think about it. I guess I should just fight more people and see how I feel about it then. Then I guess I'm just not all that high level. lol
  14. That is a very fair response, and I'm grateful you considered what I was saying and without bias (or at least not completely biased XD). And yeah, I'm a pretty simple person. Unfortunately I'm hitting culture shock. I left fighting games before there were even half this stuff and came in at random times when things developed further. I've always dealt with it that same simple way but as I entered competitive play I got suspicious about whether it was the right thing to do. I thought choosing a simple character could curb that well enough (I didn't research her, I just like cat girls and her moves were pretty fun) but I still wanted to hear what others thought about the matter.
  15. Okay, this is a nice concise description here. And I'd have to say yeah, I didn't want to strengthen either. Someone could argue that it'd become much more severe against someone who could use those properties of the game well, but I would argue that you can play while avoiding that gap in strategy. Actually I can't say that. Koko automatically utilizes bar at some point with 236C. But it's not like it "spends" it either. I guess I just found the simplest character to use. lol I've been found out. Move/Counter move to me sounds like footsies. lol So does knowledge of opponents options. I guess the tools to limit them might have to do with advanced stuff like barrier, but I'm just not fully convinced you absolutely need to know everything. I would actually hope that changes with 2.0, to some extent. I know that when the system is utilized it expands your decisions beyond the basics, but I'm just saying it seems like you could very well defend with the basics against those more advanced options, given that you're defensive enough. Is that not true? And these are just honest questions and observations. It's less "debating" from me and more just outspokenly wondering about things.
  16. Thanks a lot for the advice, which I've been following aptly. Watching my head being the one I've had the most trouble wtih. lol Overheads are slow in this game yet they still can get you if you aren't careful. The only one I didn't get was the negative positive thing. Is that a frame data thing? And I learned something fun from atepo on here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoUikzsYn70 If you look at 6:28 right before he starts the orb pressure, he does a part of that same combo we were talking about earlier {2A>2C>5C>Delay j.B(Hold)>Delay j.[8]2A>2C>Crouching Orb(B Hold)>2A}. BUT he leaves out any delay and just goes j.A before j.B. I've found getting to the 2A after the first orb release very easy to do with his method compared to the one on the wiki. The 2C before the first orb is just a matter of timing cancelling the spin she does after transvolans.
  17. I guess I haven't played enough to appreciate the system, because I really can't find any concern for most of the things outside of hits/specials/supers. When I look at you guys discussing complicated topics, I wonder if you play better than me because you have more resources. Or if it really comes down to footsies/execution/blocking like any other fighting game. Or maybe one is a supplement for the other? I'm just skeptical because I've had plenty of good fights without so much as using up bar. lol Is it a difference in fighting style that determines whether you can use this stuff?
  18. Discipline. If you feel like you've given enough effort then give 10% more. If you aren't already playing every day then do that, even if it's just for five minutes. And if you're already playing every day then play twice a day. If you think your reflexes and combos are good enough offline take that a step further. If you can't be fully conscious online then be partially conscious, or even a fraction. There's no such thing as trying hard enough. "There are no limits." - Bruce Lee
  19. The bad thing about internet sarcasm is how clarifying it destroys the purpose. In another life I may have gotten my 2 secs of internet post fame on dustloop. In hindsight if I had lurked here less someone may have caught on from knowing the way I post. The worst thing about it is that my sarcasm is obviously not funny at all, else someone would have caught on regardless of the latter fact. A pretty rude awakening for me...I mean I know I'm no Dave Chappelle but damn...
  20. I thought it meant like ice. You know like hyperthermia. I'd imagine you'd be numb from that though, not angry. Still, I've never been so sexually offended in my life. Fornication is a holy and sacred thing. Why was the term so desecrated for the sake of venting one's anger? I can't...ugh. Lord bless my catholic soul. IDK if I can stay in this thread anymore.
  21. Master the art of the Blind Side. It doesn't really matter whether you can or can't do it (as you've seen here, that argument can go on forever), what matters is that there is hope in effort. Obviously the world isn't set in stone. We don't live on Sesame Street where everything is fair or FMA where equivalence is something tangible. Anyone who tells you that you can absolutely do anything is just sugarcoating shit. Hell, chances are you won't get anywhere with what you're doing. But if you let thoughts like that stop you then you're just a wimp, and that right there is a question of attitude-not ability-that is keeping you from making your own path. My dad has six degrees, one of them being a Doctorate, and he hasn't been able to find a job in months because of various bullshit I won't go into. I spent most of my school life seeing him holed up in his room studying. Right now he's got nothing to show for the time he's put in. He also wouldn't tell you to give up, but he sure as hell won't sugarcoat shit. The world isn't fair, why the heck do you expect a fighting game (keyword: FIGHT) to be fair? No one's abilities are equal, plain and simple. If they were, everyone would get Draws all day. Fighting games are take it or leave it, hate it or love it. Why do you think devs are still making these? Because it's nice and you'll get everything you want? No, because it's competitive and they could give a shit less whether you whine or cry. Fuck excuses. Fuck genetics. Fuck the time people put in. Fuck footsies and fuck the door you can walk out of if you don't agree. Someone wins because they put up a fight and you did something wrong. Plain and simple.
  22. This one is more of a quest for me, learning my first charge character and learning UNIEL as a whole. I want to know how to use everything before even bothering with getting online. I'm tired of going in not knowing anything. I couldn't even see how bad I was at AH and I'm stuck as a masher in BB because of laziness. No more.
  23. Are we being democratic or egoistic? For the first, The best fighting game is the one everyone liked the most, which means mostly what got CREAM$$bill ya'll + popularity. The second best is the one people actually judged on a fair scale. And the one that was generally okay is the one no one cares to discuss about but won't try to diss either. So basically, Street Fighter WTVIDK KOF I guess. If I'm supposed to reply based on ego (and you're gonna love this one) Then it's Anything but Street Fighter Probably something Japanese Smash Bros Brawl (Not Melee, and definitely not that mod that isn't official)
  24. And that's why I used the word "luck" there. It's an uncontrollable variable, the word 'talent' is being misrepresented. Talent is just your power level, luck is how you managed to start off with said power level. A lucky person can start off with a power level of 4,000 while everyone else started off with 2,000. But that might not change the fact that both of them are talented, cuz you need at least 1,500 to learn Blazblue, where as some only have 1,000 and can barely manage their footsies enough to get in a combo or even poke, and will eventually give up and play something else.
  25. So luck is when something you can't control happens to be in your favor, such as being born with a higher degree of talent.
