  1. PC Gamer published a bunch of completely ludicrous 5K, partially 8K shots http://www.pcgamer.com/guilty-gear-xrd-sign-5k-gallery/?ns_campaign=article-feed&ns_mchannel=ref&ns_source=steam&ns_linkname=0&ns_fee=0
  2. Maybe youre running some specific, low quality setting in the Nvidia HUB or something. I dont know, maybe post a screenshot? The game has the potential to look like this:
  3. a) check if its using integrated graphics b) check if the FPS is low (which causes it to feel choppy) c) restart the client as soon as the frames drop to anything below 59fps to avoid memory leak If you fps are always low just reduce resolution, details or manipulate the .ini file to reduce everything even further. If none of that helps then it might be your drivers or your computer simply isnt even a toaster but a typewriter.
  4. Definitely runs. I know a guy with a 630m and it runs on his. You can also down scale it to something like 1100x700 or something, which is why it runs on everything.
  5. You must have a horrible computer if you wonder whether or not the PC version looks better than the PS4 version. It looks miles better, and I am not even exaggerating here. Its on a completely different level. The current version has a memory leak. After a couple hours frames will decrease and you start dipping into the mid 50s. If that happens you need to simply restart the game. However, I do have a feeling that this has an impact on the entire lobby. So as soon as the host has dipping frames, everybody else starts lagging automatically. There was one room that made my FPS tank to 40fps prior to even having done anything. In other rooms the FPS were still at a stable 60. The game runs on a goddamn toaster, tried it out with one of my laptops. The bugs are annoying though. The net code is equal to the PSNs, maybe even slightly better. The biggest problem are bugs so its hard to actually judge. Down-sampling from 4K simply makes the game look ridiculously good.
  6. CPU will always be between 'shit' and 'completely broken' at the same time because of frame perfect punishes due to reading your inputs. Personally I think that Ky, Sol and Slayer are pretty decent. Especially CPU 100 Ky makes you try to get in which can be a pain in the ass if you never faced Ky before and dont know how to deal with him due to your characters limited movement options. CPU is decent for getting used to neutral game and overall movement but shit for everything else. Like baiting, mind games and even general combo starters (the blocking is just too random half the time). Good thing is that this is exactly what most people are really damn bad at. Flowchart Millias come to mind. Most of them have100% success rate on their setups in training mode but completely fall apart once the target isnt just standing around (like the bot)
  7. Where do people even get this info from? Can you look up the Danisen ranking somewhere? Would really like to know what characters the top bracket is mostly composed of. I find jackshit via Google.
  8. A tier list is supposed to rank a characters potential. Just because the majority of Zato players isnt capable of exploiting his ridiculous tools it doesnt make him anything but S tier.
  9. How about elaborating why she suddenly is bananas? What exactly changed apart from a few frame adjustments, the addition of a really situational command grab and reducing the difficulty of her execution? Because I cant see how her gameplan changed.
  10. Pretty sure hes implying that the changes to her inputs suddenly turn her into a completely braindead character. Pretty sad that he doesnt even seem to be aware of the fact that an execution barrier only exists at the beginning of your journey. I dont really get why people act like Venom is such a hard character to utilize though. Yes, he needs some getting used to. But if you ever played a footsie heavy fighting game then getting used to his poke and normal heavy playstyle is anything but a problem. It fact, its actually pretty damn easy. The only thing that needs time getting used to are specific ball setups. Which is an innitial barrier, sure. But as soon as you got past that hes by no means hard. People in here keep talking about "competitive level". At a competitive level almost any character is hard to play. Even the likes of Millia and Zato who are far from being hard to utilize on a mediocre level (again, as soon as you got used to the input shemes). Pretty funny that I recently saw way more Venoms than I-Nos in Europe. In fact, more people play Zato, Millia, Ram, Elphelt, Ky, Sin, Pot, Sol, Chipp. Faust is easily top 4 in terms of strength, yet very few people play him. Seems like power isnt everything after all. Ky and Millia are probably by far the most played characters over here. Britain partially has lobbies that consist of 5/8 Venom players. Doesnt seem like they are under the impression that hes hard (I dont see why anyone would think that anyway). Besides, I would claim that winning as a new player is a million times easier with Venom than it is with I-No. Especially new players will have significantly more trouble getting used to the ball mechanics and his rather long pokes or the fact that his basic grab basically is a command grab (which is impossible to tech, I still dont get why they removed throw-teching). I'd say that I-Nos tricks are way easier for a new comer to grasp. Hell, in round two they realized that they can dodge HCL by pressing 2. I dont really get where all this Venom pandering is coming from all of a sudden.
  11. People should seriously stop with all this false flagging, claiming that the PS3 version doesnt run perfectly fine. I am not surprised that console players werent able to anticipate the blurry look though. Shows how little most of them understand when it comes to computers (which consoles basically are, they just use a shittier structure). Spoiler Alert: consoles use hardware that usually is 1-2 years old by the time they are released. Doesnt take a genius to understand what that means for a game that is released almost a decade after the console came out. It runs at a permant 60fps, thats all people should be wondering about. Yes, it looks worse than the PS4. Get over it and maybe ask yourself why you were expecting it to look differently in the first place.
  12. A PC port would probably be borderline pointless anyway. Unless they make it cross platform theres no way in hell the game would have a decently sized community. If they release a patch that lets me run my PS3 controller on a PS4 then I would even buy one exclusively for Xrd. However, a cross platform PC port would be a dream come true because I despise consoles and everything they stand for. If SFV had been released last year the chances for a PC port would have improved tenfold. At what resolution does the PS4 version actually start to look bad? I mean, 1080p isnt that much either. Its enough for 24", but anything bigger usually will want to run at native 1440p (2,5k) or 4k. Especially considering how common PC monitors are for playing console games nowadays.
  13. Well it looks to damn blurry because the game runs on an 8 year old console that uses hardware which is probably 10 years old. I am surprised that it runs at 60 fps at all.
  14. If they add PS3 controller support for the PS4 version I might be willing to boost the sales numbers by buying the PS4 version as well.
  15. Meh, full review would include a video.
