  1. the netcode was fine from how i recall. ofcourse there are times of lag, like all games.
  2. so people still play this? i will pbly get back into fighters soon, and see if there are still people to play. I anticipate getting destroyed a lot
  3. i thought the game wasn't region locked. btw if you want ppl to play ah3lm in, theres a skype group/discord chat you can find somewhere in this forum.
  4. playing jp players may lag a lot, even with really stable connection(we'll see and hopefully not). ah3lm is 2-3 years old now, so it's expected for a community drop. it's done pretty good imo, considering i still see a lot of friends play it on my friends list, and remember hosted tournaments on this site
  5. I agree with lack of community, though not sure if a patch would help. I tend to set a room with 3 bars, since they tend to not lag too much that way. It never bothered me in asw licenced fighters, but in this game it often gets really bad. combos should be pretty easy to figure out for players with some beginner experience with air dashers, A, B, C, special, burst cancel/assist, reset, works with almost everyone. I figured that out in less than 1 minute of training mode. atleast it's still way better than sfv. btw, i got dlc outfits, and it seems i can't use them in ranked.
  6. I still get concepts like airdashing, double jumping, etc when i played for the 1st time. i assume most beginners may try to jump more. games like sf/kof tend to be more grounded where you rarely jump. I assume pbly more ppl just play sf too much with no air dash experience. since kof atleast has a roll mechanic thats somewhat similar. hence they never double jump/dash. worst in ah3lm, where i won with scharl against a 1 time player, with almost just 5c, 5b and a few combos. I'm thinking it might be good to just throw a few matches to make them think they accomplished something. that way they may play more, and build community. it's one reason I sometimes experiment with characters i barely touch after a few matches.
  7. is it just me or are there a lot of beginners who never use much mixups, double jump, airdash, roll, etc lately? i just hosted a few games, and 3 out of 4 players never used those tactics, and were pretty easy to beat. except the one who stole 1 game while i was experimenting with characters I didn't know. Just wondering if it's probably from playing too much traditional fighters like sf, or new to fighters. since i've heard that you're not supposed to jump that much from those games, but never really got into them.
  8. still no way to record replays
  9. i think in next installment they need to include this character
  10. we need some high level clips in general. anyone good with Homura? or maybe Heart?
  11. yeah using pad. I have heavy attack set on shoulder button. because thats what I usually do in ah3lm(arcana button) c+b is reasonably easy for me, since i dont have to change hands like a+b. still just takes getting used to. it's pbly easier to push more than 1 button with a stick, and i might get 1 eventually. btw, here's me trying to learn combos by improvising after awhile. Nothing that special. but I figure I can get input, and maybe post a match sometime, when i get more decent. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3qm8ud
  12. one thing i'm having trouble with is button placements. i have habbits of how i set controls from ah3lm, which doesn't translate here, because i need buttons for assists.
  13. i just made up some combos for Homura and might try making a combo testing vid
  14. i guess it's my controller fucking up and not netcode or anything. it just sometimes seems to want to jam B or D, and the trigger buttons seem to push when I don't want it to sometimes. but it's also because I got a bad habbit of using triggers to do supers in arcana due to not needing to free buttons for assists like this game. still had fun, other than the frustration of losing due to controls not doing what I want it to do. btw I'm maining Homura at the moment after using her and heart for awhile. she seems like the easiest to use of characters i tried for awhile.
  15. Not sure if it's just me, but often times, I find sites on these forums seem to link to the same page, instead of where it's supposed to go. It's probably already been reported if it's not just me.
  16. just wondering if anyone tried it here, and have opinions? it seems like it might be a good buy at $50
  17. it seems like theres a lot of input lag or controller does weird things. anyone in west coast? since it seems like most people are 1 or 2 bar, which is usually no problem for aksys licensed games. I am guessing xseed doesn't license enough fighters to be efficent at netcodes experience.
  18. just bought and downloading, too much hype. this and MDN VII released on the same day
  19. you should see it tomorrow.
  20. as of the moment, bbcpex is my 2nd favorite fighter, behind ah3lm. and its rather pointless trying to explain why. I got a better question. why play sf? or any fighting game in general.
  21. Who really cares about evo anyways? unless you actually compete in it, and 90% of us won't. Bad netcode can definetly kill a game, that relies on multiplayer. xseed isnt known to do online gaming as far as I know. so I hope they can fix it.
  22. we got a new wiki without much info yet, but would most likely focus more on character bios and storylines for those interested http://arcana-heart.wikia.com/wiki/Arcana_Heart_Wikia
  23. sweet. kinda disapointed that I'll have to pay extra for Heart and Homura, but I'm getting them.
  24. why would someone host ps4 only, unless it creates lag somehow. I do not believe there should be any difference in visuals or anything, in a game like this. Which looks like It should run on ps2 hardware
