  1. Lol. I like that you used gravy as an adjective. Nioce Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Are you trolling again by saying you're not trolling. That's fucking meta dude. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. How do you want me to offer evidence to help you feel better about the direction the game is taking? It's your opinion and your issue toward the evolution of fighting games. Just like its my opinion that this argument and the following patch in no way lessens the value being apart of the community that we are, fighting game players. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Ya man. Casuals are ruining our fighting games. What is this Smash 1.1 Kapparino. Even with the new patch and increased input buffer this doesn't ruin your game dudebutts, relax you can still test your "skills and wits" nothing have been taken from you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. This topic has gotten nuts in the last few days. While I agree with both sides of this weird argument, i have to remind you all that this post was made in order to help one another. Not argue/degrade/or even attack the game mechanics; never mind one another. While i wish the window was larger or that negative edge still played a factor, the hard facts are that Xrd doesn't play that way. So, instead of yipping at each other over the "only a true master" argument can we get back to the main point. Help and support in the community. Tips/tricks/cues! If your contribution is "L2 Practice mode" thats fine we have that opinion covered please refrain from repeating the advice. If you have something to add though, THEN post. i.e Ive come to find that Sin, on face down knockdown will slam his fist in frustration. If you input DP at the moment he raises his fist you'll get reversal like 70% of the time. ^ That is what I'd like this topic to transition to. Small cues, be them audio or visual that can give someone having trouble a reference point. Any of the old heads here who find these DP's real easy, make a video or something next time your bored. Grab a handful of characters and see if you cant find a accessible way to translate their individual reversal timing. I write this with best intentions. So please while all opinions are welcome, lets try to actually tackle the challenge together.
  6. Honestly I think BD wouldnt be a terrible option, You can mash it like all the pros suggest lol. But honestly on a char with a great backdash like Sin it seems like a legitimate option.
  7. This j.D htibox, the struggle. Still I cant stop playing him.
  8. As we've read it wasn't an actual game design or intention even when it was included in +R so it'd be a hard sell to make, but I agree.
  9. This was my sanctuary, what have you done? BURN IT TO THE GROUND!!!
  10. Trust me guys I'm with you, for any Sin players I use the animation of him pounding his hand on the ground in frustration as he gets up as my visual cue to start the motion. Still far from perfect though and I would never rely on it in a real match, its too strict to use as a tool in my arsenal.
  11. I just got my ass kicked by a vet buddy of mine with the entire cast. Had no idea what button to press while being pressured and got counter hit to high hell. 2 is kinda trash and stubby, maybe s. ? Either I still have no idea how to handle block string pressure in GG or Sin lacks a good button to get out of constant pressure. I wouldnt doubt the latter though.
  12. How unsafe is the start up of for wake up to get out of the corner?
  13. No idea how to quote, hope this works: Dusk Thanatos, you can't while mashing can you? You need to be standing and mash on right?
  14. Instant overhead: Is our go to and if so what are we comboing from it besides 214 or is 214 / or best up close mix up
  15. ^ I mean, what else do I add here? Titanium Beast just hit it on the head.
  16. I'm glad youre alive for this day haha. I'm by no means a scrub but still not a pro, just find wake up reversal timing to be super unforgiving and if someone else had come across this same conclusion years months or days prior and found a rhythm or flow to the timing for it then Id encourage them to share it with everyone else. Hell, theres like a 8 post long thread on Mission Mode 14 on the Mission thread so im not alone in this.
  17. At match start I was finding Sols and Kys fS would come out faster then my own and they'd get first hit at that neutral. Could try 2S, but still that says something. Don't get me wrong Sin has godlike normals, but in this game you kinda need a pressure tool as well (Projectile to hit them as meaty) to really be top of the shop. Sin would be S++ tier in a SF game.
  18. Coming from USF4 where wake up reversals can be mashed out by a baby in a bumper car; I'm having a real tough time learning the strict format it takes in this game. Now before all the "L2Practice mode noob" I've been doing Mission Mode challenge 14 for around 4 hours over the last two days and cant get it. I would kill for a tutorial that used some type of visual cue or even audio cue like they had in BB. It is my opinion that wake up reversal should be a hard read and a tool in your book, not a VIP club so strict that its closed off to some players. TLDR; All whinning aside, any help tips/trick audio/visual cues for wake up reversals, any videos or tutorials, when can I buffer the DP motion and when can I mash the S/HS?
  19. I mean, in a game where you can air dash almost fullscreen and footsies is played at mach1, Oki is pretty important. Every hard knockdown you get in this A.D.D world of dashing and fullscreen runs can lead to completely snuffing out that type of insane movement gameplay if you have great meaties and excellent mix up Oki.
  20. Can someone make a video on one frame DP Reversals with some kind of tip/trick or audio cue, im on hour 7 and still cant hit them when i want.
  21. What would you suggest for a character like Sin, where you cant HS~S~HS for catching the input window since S is the only button that can reversal. (6236 S -Hawk Baker) No HS version.
  22. Ya my bad, meant 14, but the name of 15 was misleading, sounded like a wake up DP challenge. TLDR: Tips for wake up reversal timing, can you buffer the input and only the P needs to be on the one frame?
  23. Coming from SF4 here where you can mash DP like a scrub all day on wake up. Any tip or tricks for reversal DP timing with Sin? Trial 15 in mission mode says to input DP then mash P, but to be honest that seems terrible since my normal just comes out everytime. Being its the game developers tutorial and am I missing something here? Can i really just input 6236 then slam on P?
