Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel
ChizuruFTW replied to ivanchu77's topic in Misc Fighter Central
i never use it. i agree with you in that using the vanish guard and countering has always been more favorable to me than using the counter assault. if i do use it, its likely by accident -
thats not exactly true. while i most likely couldn't do it now given how damn rusty i am from not playing in over a year, i could easily (originally) get up into the 8000-10,000 range WITHOUT using her desperation ender. you don't need to use her oki to go into it you can go into it off of her strong since it knocks the opponent away far enough, you can go into it off of her over head since it's knockdown is long enough even if they quick recover, you CAN use a partner assist but i would only do that if i were desperate. i'm not saying that Chizuru's desperation is godly, but i disagree that it's trash. that spot is reserved for Rhiannon. it's merely a desperation that you HAVE to know what your doing or ya its going to be a waste of meter. when i can go into a basic string, then jump forward to keep it going into the corner, overhead them, hit them back into the corner, overhead them again, then slash and dash them 4 times and end with her desperation finisher from mid field i would think that would be worth 3 meter, and thats if i just want to go that route. again, though i realize it's not godly, but even my cousin who's very experienced with games such as BlazBlue, Arcana Hearts, Guilty Gear, UNIEL etc. thinks it's not a bad art in the very least.

see i disagree with eh_sama's statement that Chizuru's desperation as terrible. why is her desperation terrible but Ruili's in Nitro+ not? they're essentially the same mechanic. they both put them into a powered up mode. sure, if you don't know what your doing there's not point in using it, but i've won many matches, both against new players (this mostly happens just because i WANT to use it and i'm just fooling around) and experienced players with it. sure, you could argue that for 3 guages, she doesn't get a lot of time in her demon mode given the cost, but that's why you don't just use in a "Leroy Jenkins!" fashion. i would say the benefit of (provided you can avoid taking a hit) recovering at least 25% life, unlimited chain ability, combo extension, godly pressure for those who know how to utilize her well, super move power up and extensions, an added arial super, and an unavoidable (though blockable finisher) are worth it. what does Ruili get? combo extension (i believe), super move leniency, decreased recovery (i believe), and better chaining and thats about it. yet she's considered good but chizuru's is trash. the only thing i can possibly see her being considered better is because she can use partners where as Chizuru can't. also as a side note for lark, Manaka can perform her double jump whenever she wants to. it doesn't have to be immediately. however, i think if you do certain moves it does take this away.

Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel

i'm really disliking what they did with Ouka's crouching Strong. i mean i DO like how she can go back and forth with it now, but considering you now have to hold the button down, you can no longer use her thrusters to escape if they block it to go into other things as a back-up plan and the distance that she can move back isn't enough to get out of range from characters like Ignis and Sabre since it takes a slight amount of time before she actually starts to move back. -

i got a question, i've decided recently to switch my main from Mora to Ouka, and i can't figure out the use of her strong version of her thrusters. i've figured out that her weak puts her back to neutral and allows her to get herself just above the enemy to avoid (most) counter attacks off a block, but i can't see any use for the strong except for maybe crossover which honestly hasn't worked very well for me. is there any help i can get on that? -

i've fiddled with Homura for a while the other day and the BS she can pull with Dragon and Angelica is retarded. she can go into a 15-16000 damage combo about 10 different ways from almost any start up and the way to go about it isn't all that complicated either. if you need help learning Homura a friend of mine plays her and i specialize in combo making so if your looking to figure out your first few legitimate high damage combo's i could probably figure something out for you. i figured these out for my friend when he asked me to figure out a 10,000+ damage, 2 guage or less combo. so we both could give you at least basic instruction on how to play her but since i've only really messed with her to figure combos out it would be my friend who would be the one who'd really be able to tell you her ups and downs -
sogo's ok but he's predictable in a lot of his moves. especially with his manaka.

this was definitely a fun tournament. i couldn't really care about winning, just didn't want to embarrass myself during a live stream. i accomplished that so i'm happy with the result. but seriously eh? you REALLY had to tarnish my perfect record i had going on there didn't you xD.
-
i've never been able to crossover with her arial special. no matter which one i use, even if i'm slightly behind them they'll still block it., also @ eh_sama, i'm really sorry for copping out after just two matches tonight. i really wanted to have more, but due to that "incident" and those controller issues i told you about it wasn't possible. i really would have liked to have more since i haven't seen you for a long time and your one of those players that really keep me in shape. hope to see you again in the near future and hopefully can go at it for more then just two rounds this time.

ya that one i knew. i was just kinda putting a character to it. Chizuru doesn't really have one does she? she's just random across the board when it comes to trying to find a "name of reference" to her moves isn't she. although Aqua's really the only one i play, hence my limited knowledge on all the terms, hell i can't even get used to the 2C 5A 6B etc. stuff, i am kinda interested in that nitro plus game. i only know Sabre from the Fate series so i'd probably use her but i kinda like that one chick with the hammer who reminds me of the character Blanc from of my favorite RPG Hyperdimension Neptunia. can't remember her name though.

ahhh i see. thanks for the info. i guess you could call Konomi's or Arawns uppercut/jumping slash specials Shiryuken (or w/e Ryu's uppercut move is called) since they're pretty much the same. i dunno lol.
-
just out of curiosity, why does everyone refer to her charge super as "God Press"? is it due to certain properties it has or just because of its ability to act as a great punish tool? Aqua is the only fighter i play so i'm not familiar with a lot of the terms.
-
where ya been Sima? i miss playing your Multi, it's really the only one that really gives me a challenge anymore. Neppies i can beat the crap out of 90% of the time (same with his Chizuru) except for the odd time i screw up or i'm having an off day (we all have those) but you actually make me sweat and work my ass off for my wins (remember our last tournament you were in you bent me over and spanked me xD). hoping to see ya again sometime and hope you had fun at your big get together.

that sucks dude. but honestly (where i'm from) at a 1.30 a L who the hell wants to drive?? half your damn pay cheque goes to your gas alone

well, thankfully i've been seizure free for going on 4 years. 3 of my 8 siblings (4 biological, 4 adopted) have seizures, though my brother hasn't had one since he was 10 so he would be considered cured. my sister hasn't had one for about as long as i have. my seizures are caused by over exertion, and my sisters are caused by stress. so the bad thing is if i DO have one she usually has one shortly after as mine cause it highly stress her out, which is understandable. the funny thing is that although although my siezures are caused by over exertion, i'm an avid martial artist (just got my blue stripe in tae kwon do actually) and the instructors in my class sometimes work us HARD. so i am taking a bit of a risk with that one i'll admit. but hey i do need exercise. i'm on an incredibly high dose for my medication so thats probably why it doesn't affect me to much and i always make sure to sit down after our warm up or if our drills get to strenuous to get my breathing and heart rate back into a normal rhythm, so i do take all necessary precautions.
-
*sigh* not EVERYONE suffers from flashing lights causing their siezures to occur. i've never reacted to even the hardcore strobe lights. another common myth is putting something in the persons mouth during a siezure. do NOT do that. your more likely to hurt the person then help them. it is a common myth that they'll swallow their tongue or some BS like that so they put something in their mouths to prevent that. thats absolutely impossible to happen. the best thing you can do is to roll them onto their side, move any possible dangerous obstacles out of the way, time it, and if it lasts more then 4-5 minutes call the ambulance. the person will likely be very tired upon coming to, so give them something warm and let them rest, provided you didn't need to call the ambulance (although you can do it right away if you want to be absolutely safe).

ya i live in Vancouver Island, B.C. unfortunately i can't get myself to the airport except on rare occasions when things work out exactly for me because, due to severe epilepsy, i can't drive. so i have no way of getting to the airport which is about an hour and a half away from where i live by car. also, i don't exactly have the money to do traveling as i only do seasonal work and my hours are all based on how busy it is, which it hasn't been. i just now got bumped to half time, before i was making only 12 hrs a week. i would LOVE to get up and meet all you guys, eh_sama, Goroh, Moji, Kyouya etc. but it's just not possible for me i'm afraid. right now i'm living mostly off my PWD (Persons With Disablities) more then my actual job. so i'm afraid getting up to toronto, as fun as hell that would be, is out of the question. thats why me and friends of mine on the psn have a monthly get together online. it's the closest thing we can do to a big tournament.
-
i've never come across him. i've fought Zero a few times (if its the same one i'm thinking about) and i can give him a good fight but i don't think i've actually beaten him yet. its a real shame i don't have the opportunity like you guys to participate in these big formal tournaments. it would be nice to get to know all the really good players out there
-
ya i find if your a good Sasara or Karu player you can rock Chizuru. Sasara due to her range and high damage and Karu due to her stupidly high guard crush abilities combined with her pressure. i've got a friend who plays Karu and despite her rank only being C she fights like an S, she's been doing that since the very beginning. if she gets you in the corner its really hard for you to get her off of you especially when she combines it with Yuki. people who can't take Chizuru and bitch about how OP she is, simply don't know how to handle her. my cousins like that saying he hates chizuru cause she's op and has a tool for everything. i simply tell him he simply doesn't know how to deal with her. a lot of her stuff is easy to bait out actually.
-
nice. not to hard to do. you just have to be good with predicting your opponents attacks. problem is i'm not good with that lol. i'm good at predicting aggression levels, which is why i'm very good with the use of Manakas desperation but when it comes to the judgement of what attack is going to be used i have a hard time with that so when i use hakus counter its often i get hit more often than i get the counter. still, it's something thats good to practice in case the situation ever arises. i used to use Yuma since she was good at getting people off me and because i never really knew how to use haku, but now that i'm learning how to combo with him properly i've started using Camyu. Camyu is also great with Oboro, i can get an easy 8-9000 for 3 guage. you use his primary super, into camyu halfway, this lets you touch down in time for when the fire ball connects and you can do 2 things. you can jump in the air and finish with his ariel super which is my preferred method or you can nail them again with his primary super. if i want to be a troll i can do a a pathetic 5-6000 for 5 guages for a "just because i can" . this methods just an modification of the first. you start by hitting them with his secondary super, combo into his primary, hit them with camyu, hit them again with his secondary, then finally finish off with his ariel super. one to only use just if you want to piss someone off. otherwise absolutely useless.
-
lol ya Chizurus like me. btw i now, or at least to a degree, know why you like haku. i've been experimenting with him now that i FINALLY, with some help from my cousin who's a fighter game veteran, learned how to reliably do his true desperation. after meddling with him to master it he's actually quite fun to play, though i'm still nowhere near your level. i managed to get almost 15,000 out of him with a combo thats actually not all that hard to do. it's really expensive though, so really, it's one you might not even bother with in the first place. it takes 5 guages to do. starting off with a stage 1 super, comboing into Camyu's fireball halfway through, then you nail them with his strong tiger, into his true desperation and you get between 13,700-14,800. if your in the corner you can leave out the tiger but you have to know the timing or it won't come out due to recovery. what i do is watch his fan since it actually glows a reddish yellow color. after he lands the last hit watch his fan. just as the glow begins to fade do the input and you should be able to pull of his desperation just as camyu's fire ball connects. if he's launched shortly before it comes out don't worry about it since he'll just fall back into it. you'll just lose a bit of damage. that one nails between 11,000-13,000 i unfortunately never learned that fighter game talk so i have to type it out the long way.
-
well when i first started, i found her just as easy and just as difficult as anyone else. of course, i've never played Melty Blood and i generally don't play many fighters so i guess to me it as just the norm. i suppose if you play a variety of games you learn the differences but Aqua is the first fighter i've actually legitimately gotten good at so to me there was no difference in style of play, just differences in technique.
-
i saw early vids of rhiannon play, and ya she was pretty busted. her chip damage was insane which, in all all honesty given how badly they disabled her, they should have at least allowed her to keep that. i stick to my story when i say that Manaka should be placed above Rhiannon cause it doesn't matter whether it's online or offline, i can keep opponents off me with Manaka, i can't with Rhiannon. i never really saw any vids on early touka so i'd just have to take peoples word on that one, though i've seen vids that if your good she can still kick the crap out of score attack Chizuru, something even i can't do. i've only managed to beat her once. a lot of people bitch to me about how cheap Chizuru is saying all her moves are safe and she has a counter for everything. i completely disagree as pretty much all her specials, save her blood wave are highly unsafe on block. sure, she's certainly not the easiest character to deal with, but i wouldn't say she's broken either.
-
i think i'm probably the only REAL loyal player left on aqua. you'll find me on almost every day. i don't really know much about it's earlier days and people always using touka, i always heard people bitching about how people were always using Chizuru cause she was busted.

it came down to me and sogo_okita (not surprisingly) and he took it....though with that one i purposely threw it. talking to him before the match in our tournament chatroom he REALLY needed a pick me up. shits been hitting the fan lately for him really bad and the fact that its been going on a year for the tournament and he hasn't won one yet that was hitting him hard to since he's the one that hosts it too. so i figured why not be a nice guy, give him a legit looking fight but purposely let the odd crucial attack get through. even with me throwing the fight it came down to sudden death between us (the prelims are 3 rounds best of 3 matches, semis are 5 rounds best of 3 matches, and the finals are 5 rounds, best out out of 5 matches; we both had 2 wins under our belt). it really did seem to bring up his mood in the end. some people might not agree with me doing that with the "fight with all you have or don't fight at all" mentality but i personally look out for my friends well being more then a win in a tournament we have every month. i could have easily have taken the win but i figured i've already got 2 tournament wins under my belt why not give sogo one. i've always made it to the semi-finals in the very least.
