i have a twitter though i virtually never use it. we mostly keep in contact via messeging on PSN. we hold regular chat rooms to discuss updates and changes throughout the month and even more so as tournament time draws near. you don't have to worry about missing a tournament or two since its just a casual fun thing there's no mandatory participation. things come up for all of us after all. but its a great way to learn since there's a variety of players of all different characters and skill levels. we hold one every month on the first friday so its no big deal if the next few months don't work for ya.

its an online get together. people from all over the place, Canada, the States, England, etc. all show up. this one we're holding this month is possibly going to reach 16+ players if things go right for everyone since some friends of friends are importing it for the sake of wanting to participate in it. we upload the matches at the end of the tournament onto youtube. i currently hold a record of 2 wins 2 losses (though the one was intentional) and i wasn't there for the 5th. we hold regular "training" days for practice and to discuss tips to the newer players to help em out to play better. depending on you play you'll most likely find at least one person who can help you with your character. if not then, i certainly would recommend goroh16 or eh_sama since they are awesome players. eh_sama is awesome all across the board and i don't know a better haku player then goroh (then again i don't see many haku's either). kouyakane is on a BS level of awesome when it comes to Chizuru but unless you speak japanese i dunno how much help you'd get from him, i don't get the chance to face him much.

thanks for all the help. it's really appreciated. as for "My" version of Chizuru, it wouldn't really bother me. it would be awesome if she was there, but i'd just be happy she was there at all. it does kinda suck that i wouldn't be able to add any characters of my own since, ya, i don't know how to code. but there are several other characters i've seen that would keep me entertained.

coolios. thanks dude. are they free to download or do you have to pay? (i'm guessing free but i've seen some pretty dumb stuff before so thats why i'm asking). also, where do you download the characters from? do they have a specific place you go to or do they have a selection from the main site? sorry if i sound a bit out of the loop on this its just aside from seeing random stuff like Hatsune Miku vs. Goku in this i know virtually nothing about it.

i've heard/seen Mugen but i've never ever had the chance to actually try it. how the heck do you even get it anyway and is there any particular engine you need to run it?

like Lark said, you certainly want to master your defensive work like instant blocking and guard canceling. you'll also want to experiment with partner setups since certain partners work better than others with certain characters. Rhiannon being one thats limited to only like 3 good partners so i hear or she gets wrecked more times then not(i don't play Rhiannon so i'm just going by what i've heard). spacing is crucial for certain characters, like Manaka or for Karulaus secondary super (since the opponent has to be in just the right spot to get the maximum damage otherwise it'll only top around 2000), so if you decide to play characters like that you'll want to practice that as much as possible. you'll find me on most of the time but sometimes i get on doing other things. unfortunately like goroh said, the online is pretty dead most days now. though yesterday was actually quite lively and i managed to claim my #3 spot finally. so it all depends on the day. but ya, really it seems to be more slow then busy most of the time. if your ever interested though, me and some friends hold a monthly tournament the first friday of every month, the next one being the 5th of June.

i can sorta understand the boosting thing to a point to get your original rank back, but to then keep doing it to get to the highest rank possible is just BS. we've worked hard to get where we're at and legitimately got our ranks, where as he's just boosting and putting no effort in. i was on today and he got about 15,000 points in about 10 minutes. there was only 2 people i saw on in about 20 and they wouldn't fight me so i doubt they'd fight him either. i asked him how he was doing it and he used the excuse that his sister was helping him. which meant only 1 of 2 things A) she either REALLY sucked or B) she was just letting him win. i on the other hand have to sometimes wait hours just to get a single match. i don't care so much about the leader boards, but i do think you should legit earn your rewards and not just cheat your way to the top. also, i would like to point out that, like Neppy, i also lost my data after i reached AAA. my PS3 died and i lost all my data so i had to start from scratch. yet i still started back from the bottom and refused to do any boosting. the only thing that allowed me to progress a little quicker than normal was due to what i had learned during that time of getting to AAA. if your boosting it just means your lazy.

i've never faught WhiteMove, but ya, i can beat Neppy no problem. even with characters i don't use very often.

i agree that i believe that japanese players are far superior to the western players. but i've come across some very good western players, namely yourself and goroh and ya that is true, like kouyakane you didn't rely on huge big damage combo's like i do, you rely on just basic mid-damage but still your styles very effective. i honestly do wish i could go to the big tournaments to truly test my skills, especially when i'm playing nooblets who quit mid match doing the "just kill me cause i can't beat you" crap like a player did yesterday. thats how your skills stagnate. but since i live in Canada and you live in the states where NorCal and Evo are available to you it's just out of the question. i also realize they aren't the only things of the game i'm just using them as an example to show that it does require skill to do the higher tier ones and a scrubby cheater would never bother learning them because they don't have to. also i dunno how you'd do that with Llyr so i'd like to see that xD. i honestly do try to watch my opponents play style and adapt to it by changing things up. but players like yourself and goroh are very good at remaining unpredictable, and unfortunately i'm not very good at dealing with that, for several reasons which i won't get into. but i'm still curios as to why you guys don't like me, though you don't seem to mind me as much as the others. and alright i'll try to do that if i remember. unfortunately i have very poor memory, and it's only made worse due to medication i take for siezures, but i'll try. i'm guessing it'll be in this forum?

ok...well for the first time i'm actually a bit pissed off. if he thinks that you can tell him that he can bite me. i spent a full year playing almost every single day getting my GOD rank with Chizuru and i only managed to GOD my Sasara and Manaka this year which would be going on my third year playing. hell, i would think even you could back me up, you've seen how much i play. my Sasara, my Manaka, and my Chizuru i all got Legitly. i don't HAVE another system to just play against myself (unlike Neppy/WhiteMove) i would NEVER stoop that low i believe in having to earn your rewards. ALL of my friends can back me up. if i was such a scrub how the hell am i able to deal 12,000-15,000 like it's nothing with Chizuru (i uploaded my latest match proving that), or even get a 1 shot kill on a fall down combo with Mizuki's uppercut? or a 5 guage combo 5-6000 damage troll combo, just cause i can thats actually very complex to do with oboro. how can i deal a guaranteed hit fall down desperation about 13 different ways with Sasara? i can go on and on. i actually beat Kouyakane once. sure it was only once out of 10 matches but i still beat him. so if i was just a cheater how was i able to accomplish that? if i was a cheater i would never beat him. ever. i'd never beat any of you. ever. Kouyakane isn't #1 for no reason plus he's been playing a hell of a lot longer then i have so of course he's going to be a lot better. i'm not a tournament player, i don't have that oppertunity where i live. the best i have is a casual tournament me and some friends put on each month just for fun. i don't have the oppertunity to go to something like EVO or NorCal. which if i remember right you even said i could probably win NorCal or at least do very well in, i probabaly couldn't do EVO, but i could do NorCal. and yes i realize i still have much to learn. i never stated that i didn't your ALWAYS learning. you never stop learning. thats why i spend a lot of time in training experimenting on new combos and strategies.

really? why would he have anything to say about me at all? i've only been able to play him like 3-4 times because i never see him. am i really that unlikable? i try and treat everyone with respect. in fact if i can't teach someone on a specific character such as Haku, since i can only use him to the most basic degree, i DO recommend Goroh16 to them to seek out or even yourself since your pretty much great with every character. what have i done to any of you guys that you guys hate me so much? i don't rage quit or anything i always see my matches to the end, unless my damn connections giving me problems which is rare. so, if i'm that unlikable might i ask what i can do to improve those relations cause i really don't like being on the bad side of people i like having friends not enemies.

oh i realize that i've experienced that first hand...especially the last few days for some odd reason the lags been atrocious. so i have absolutely no arguments with you on that one i completely agree. but even without lag i can do it.

glad you think so :P

wow...harsh. you have to remember though that that was quite a while ago. i've actually made some very good players by teaching them. after messing around and actually getting better at the game and actually figuring out how Haku works (i've actually started dabbling in him myself, though i certainly can't use him to your level) i realize how stupid my thinking was. i was far less experienced back then when i first started playing you and didn't know really what to expect from him or how to play him. now i do. i doubt i could beat you still, since your REALLY good with your strategy and spacing and thats exactly how Haku is supposed to be played. hell you can even use his true desperation, something i can't figure out to save my life, i can only do his secondary wind desperation reliably. as for what level of players i played to get my GOD tiers, i played all levels of players from F's such as Goodcat to S's such as Soma-Atlasia, Yagami-rinn, sogo-okita128 (several times), and even eh_sama on the rare occasion, though i will admit that that was VERY rare, and when i mean very rare i mean win against. obviously, F's were my easiest win's and S's were my hardest, but i was still able to win. and honestly i think the tier list is BS when it says that Manaka is below Rhiannon. i can easily keep people (most of the time) away from me, even Sasara and Chizuru, with Manaka and if they DO get on me i can get them off me. also for the record i would like to point out i can't do ANY of Manaka's foot work i rely soley on Manaka's ranged game. i've managed only to learn enough to get people off of me. however don't think that i just spam either, all of my ranged attacks are strategically used to control my spacing. i've even mastered how to use her desperation properly and probably gotten around half my wins that way against a variety of level of opponents. where as with Rhiannon i can't keep anyone off of me or get them off of me no matter what trick i try. i find relying on her damn desperation with Yuki's help more reliable (i've actually pulled off several wins that way believe it or not) then trying to actually get someone off me cause i just can't do it. but hey thats just my opinion.

don't put yourself down man, your still a damn good player and i'm sure with a little bit of dusting off the rust the tables will be turned again. my damage may have increased stupidly due to my experimentation on a daily basis and my reflexes better, but your strategy far exceeds mine. i'm more the beserker type who likes to deal large amounts of damage to end things quickly your one who capitalizes on any mistakes the opponents makes. if you like why not try out our next tournament. we hold one every month with some of our friends. that might get your game back. btw hello to all, it's my first day here i just signed up. a big hello to goroh and eh_sama. for the record sama (regarding your much earlier post) i don't refuse to play you, it's just that i've pretty much turned to the teacher role now that i've GODed Chizuru, Sasara, and Manaka. i occasionally still do ranked for " why the heck not?" reasons (and to keep my #4 spot) but other then that i really just help out the new players now. so it's got nothing against you dude, so please don't think that. you too goroh if thats what you think as well.
