Discord is a solid source of information but it isn't organized. There are tons of documents hanging there that would just be better suited for an organized wiki. Namely: Dustlopp Wiki I'd like to do it myself, but lack of IRL time and overrall inexperience with the game(s) advise against me attempting to compile that info on my own. I really think that should be a group effort. It's not necessary to compile everything into the wiki. Maybe we could just link all those documents in the wiki itself. Not pretty, but that would be better than nothing. Even if many of us are on discord, not everybody is. Also, newcomers are not likely to look for discord: they are probably just going to look for "Blazblue Wiki" or "Guilty Gear Wiki" (or watever) on google and hop into Dustloop. They NEED the information to be more easily available. For starters I'll link a couple good guides on Kokonoe discord. They are quite high quality and somehow organized Everybody hanging on other character discords could put that information here too, so that more competent people can just compile it into the wiki without having to scout everywhere for information. Well, I don't know if I totally agree about it. Yes, modern games are more lenient but that shouldn't be a problem as long as he doesn't plan to play older games. I fear he could just get overly frustrated by stricter controls in game he doesn't enjoy. I'd just suggest to grind it and exercize in games he likes the most, both in training mode and against low level CPU. He will improve eventually and have fun along the road.

If you tell us about your budget, that would be a great help. I'm not personally an expert about different gamepads, but having a general idea about how much you're willing to spend reeeeally help in narrowing the options people can suggest you. Also, I strongly reccomend the D-Pad too. It SEEMS easier with the analog stick at first as it is easier to visualize the inputs there. You know, things like a quarter circle seem just right on a circle-shaped input device. However the D-Pad allows for more precision and somehow faster imputs. In that reguard, the standard PS3/PS4 joystick is basically already good enough if you're not looking for an arcade stick.

I was litterally drooling for the collector edition od Centralfiction (the so called "Azure Edition") However I live in Italy and the only store having it in stock at the moment is RICE Digital. It is located in UK and beween the different currencies and the delivery costs the price skyrockets quite a bit Is there any plan you know about to make the Azure Edition available on other stores? Both during arcade cutcenes and story mode, cinematics are somehow sloppy. Character models move right, but it's somehow as if the "camera" was moving on a lower frame rate. Is anyone aware of a solution?

Maybe it's because I'm in Europe, but prices here seem to skyrocket for BB merchandise, probably because of low availability They would be wonderful on my Blue-Black-Red deck (basically best colors for a Time-looping-blue, thunder-spamming-red vampire-black character). However Amazon in Italy doesn't sell them. Do you know other online shops for them? This is a HUGE collection. Very cool!!! :D And yeah, I agree on the signed CT: that's a piece to be proud of I'm in blazblue since only 3 years and I tend to start collecting merchandise if I actually stick to a franchise for some years. For this reason I never bought any BB product other than the main games, but I think now it's just about time to do buy something more. How did you get these things signed? Conventions maybe? And can you give me hints on how to find those 3rd-party-shippers? :O

I'd love that Nendroid! But I discovered about that special edition after I already bought the game (I think it was BBCP collector edition) and I felt bad buying it "again" and definetly not for cheap. If only I could buy that figure as a stand alone... but no, you can only find this one online. I don't think we'll get a new generation. Did Guilty Gear ever got a 2nd generation? And it's around since forever I think Naoto fits the "main character stereotype" even too well. So well I don't like him, but I can really see him becoming MC Otherwise, either Noel (she is the brand main heroine after all) or a whole new character .Don't really know why they want to mess with the MC however. This whole "last chapter for Ragna" thing seems soooo easy to screw up if the next MC doesn't satisfy the die hard fans

Just as PandaFace said. Do not focus on combos in the beginning Challenges are good but you really have to get to a point when each move comes out without even thinking. Try training mode a lot and get used to the spacing of both normal and special moves

Just starting with the game and it's my first time playing a rushdown character too. How do you get in against pure zoners? I'm struggling against Hilda

I did wait for Chrono Phantasma Extend after CSE and I don't know if I should wait a bit even with CF to see if they'll release a CFE What do you think about this topic? Is a Central Fiction Extend likely in your opinion? Wouldd you hold on buying CF if CFE was announced?

I am mainly a jRPG player and that's because of how much I enjoy the focus on storytelling. I always liked FGs as a kid but never dived deep into them. Until Blazeblue came and it was love at first sight. - I am a lot into anime. Blazblue is basically you living your anime fights with all their crazyness. Beams, huge swords, puppets, firearms. You got it all! - It's basically a VN too. Maybe the story is sometimes flawed, but it stems from really interesting ideas and is packed with interesting characters. - Characters. They feel good. They are based around a lot of anime clichés, yep, but they always seem strange and unique despite of this. I never felt any of them as unoriginal - General esthetic: I love the graphics, the magic-punk feel and the music. Also, blue is my favourite colour because I find it to be relaxing. #TeamBlue

I'd like to try Jack O' as soon as I'll get Revelator. Summon characters are usually hard to play (as I "try" to main Rachel in BB, I know the feel of having lots of things to keep track of) Is Jack O' as hard to play as I expect her to be (aka: a lot) for a beginner or is she less challenging than what you could expect?

Hello, people! I'd need some "starting tools" with Rachel Something to start building my core gameplay around I would need: A basic BnB combo off our best poke (I think it is 5B. Am I correct?) A basic BnB combo that can be started off both 5A and 2A Some sort of combo off a mixup - possibly starting with a reliable and easy to use overhead A couple of simple mix up strings. Each one should be able to be converted into all the aformentioned combos It would be better if those combos required no wind. 1 wind combos are ok if they offer significant payoff. I also need them to be executable in every part of the screen and against any character. If I'm not asking too much, I'd need them to lead to a knockdown, so I could practice Oki from there. Also, do you have any basic advice about how to menage neutral with Rachel from a beginner point of view? Something like which tools I should learn using first in order to get in and defend myself in basic situations? These informations would be of much help. Rachel is a hell for a beginner like me, but I really want to learn her!

Probably one of the first things to learn as a beginner are some combos. You can have all the basics, but if you can't capitalize on each one of your hits, the results will probably be underwhelming. However, WHEN can you step up your training to something different? I -as a beginner- would guess after learning: >2 or 3 ground combos so that you can start a chain with a high, a mid or a low hit >1 combo starting with an anti-air >1 combo that can hit air-to-air >2 combos that can start with throws. One for a ground throw and the other for an air throw I'd chose those first combos so that they can lead the oponent into the corner and then learn: >2 or 3 corner combos so that you can start a chain with a high, a mid or a low hit That would make for a total minimum of 8-10 combos, so that you can start practicing the basics AND capitalize on your damage while playing. What do experienced players think? What kind of combos did you learn before delving into other stuff?

Yeah, most EU players in France lobby for Xrd, I can confirm it. We can probably assume none of the two games is probably overplayed online in europe (I'll never understand why) ^^" Or maybe I was just unlucky and the lobby is full and crowded while I'm not there :p I'll try agan during the weekend (getting destroyed because I am a n00b lol) and check out if it's better then, when more people have free time to play :)

I don't remember the city name, but they are highlighted in the map, so you can easily find out if it's european. I'm a newby, so not much into the online scene yet, however it's often possible to find 1-2 people in the european lobby. They're not many for a whole continent, that's for sure, but at least you almost always have "someone" there. Many moved to Xrd... and that's a pity. I really hope the recent EU release of BBCPE will bring some new life to the scene

I can't menage to use the shoutbox. It is only visible with Firefox browser (it does not show up with chrome and Microsoft Edge). And even with firefox, when I try to post something, a message shows up asking "are you sure?". I click on "ok" (which is the only button available) and then nothing happens: my message doesn't get posted.
