Alright, how ya doing. I'm a long time lurker, first time in a long time posting anything, and I hope I can be more active on this board from now on. Anyway, last month ItsGosu.com ran a kickoff tournament for Super Street Fighter 4 at Cybergrounds in Fairfax. It was so successful that we're going to make it a monthly thing and see how far we can take it. This month we got our hands on a PS3 copy of BBCS so we're going to have a side tournament for Blazblue CS. The rules are going to be: - $5 Entry Fee, No Venue Fee! - Registration starts at noon and ends at 2:00. - Matches start at 4. - 2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games except for Finals, Double Elimination, 99 Seconds, No Handicap - Loser's Finals, Winner's Finals and Grand Finals will be 3/5 Games. - If the players do not agree on a stage/music within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage/music select. - Unlimited Characters are banned. - Mu is legal. I, personally, think that the venue is amazing at this point. Its got lots of parking, lots of food all over the place and its right next to the metro. I hope we can get a good turnout. Here's the original SRK post.

I remember discussing this earlier, either in this topic or another one, but the best way to do the double butterfly is to negative edge the P and D. You do this by holding down both P and D when you let out the first shitsu. Then right before it hits, you do the command 2366 and release P and D very very slightly staggered. This will negative edge the P and D, so on whiff you don't accidentally do a 5D or 5P and you're actually running in to do a pressure. Also, You are correct. Though, when done on Potemkin, it's hilarious.

My friend made this... and I figured it was most appropriate here.

Wait... we're not supposed to use items? I'm pretty sure we are. Otherwise, why would they not have taken them all out last year in evo? I was converted from Melee like... 3 years ago, though that was just because my melee friends went to community college, and my friends I met in my not community college played guilty gear. It took me about a year of convincing to switch, and the convincing mostly came from first playing Melty Blood with Guilty Gear when we were bored. It was kinda funny because at first I was trying to convert my friends to smash.

I don't think 5D is a very good choice ever, because of the danger of negative edging the D counter. (Which, in my experience, is usually the least preferred followup to an autoguard) Plus, according to the frame data, it has worse startup and recovery to the 6K so in any situation where you'd think 5D is a good idea to autoguard, 6K is the better choice. Unless you want to hit them with dust for a dust combo... Then disregard what I just said.

I'll concede the fact that I haven't been looking at vids of anji since... who knows how long, definitely not since school started, and even then not really, and this may sound pretty stupid or at least old news, but the last two match vids had a few wierdass combos that I have never seen before, including a fuujin loop from an HS fuujin. Am I behind the times or am I allowed to be genuinely surprised?

Out of the whole cast, he seemed the most normal. Plus, he's a Japanese person with glasses, and I'm a half Japanese person with glasses. Its like the developers were like, "Hey Nam, we made a character just for you... and he sucks!" and then they walk out into the sunset laughing all the way.

For the double butterfly, from when I practiced, it was best for me when I negative edged the second butterfly because then if I screwed up, even though I lose a pressure, I'm not just standing there whiffing a P or a D like a retard.

I think its totally worth it. I mean, what else are you going to use the 75% tension for? Force breaks? TK orb RC? Psh. Who does that?
