  3. It's just your timing. There's almost a full second between the j.D input and the 66 input (40f, plus hitstop). If the dash doesn't come out, then you did it too early. If the dash comes out but they recover too quickly, you did it too late.
  4. I've thought about this before, and I was wondering how effective just observing footage frame by frame could be. I think active and recovery frames would be the most difficult, but I think you could figure out startup and even advantage. With input display on in training mode, you should be able to discern exactly when the attack starts, and count how many frames until the attack hits. You could use the old trick of having both characters hold up during the attack, and see on which frame the jump startup animation begins. I can't think of a way to determine active and recovery frames.
  5. Oh shit, that's awesome. I'm really liking Haehyun, I just wish I was good enough with my main characters to play as her more.
  6. Was that something of a power dunk at 0:24? Happy to have Rock, but as much as I love Terry in Garou, I'm even more happy to have power dunk as a special.
  7. Why would you even make me think about this?? T-T But anyways, I'm thinking you're pretty spot on. Testament and Anji are probably the most likely to come back, and I'm actually surprised that we haven't seen Testament yet. I think May briefly referred to him in Johnny's episode mode though. I'm not too sure about Justice, I at least think it'll be a while before we see her again. Same with Robo-Ky I do think we have a chance of getting Zappa back eventually though. From what I understood in the story mode, he hasn't completely cured his possession issue, only figured out how to prevent S-Ko from taking control of his body. So they could write him back in as an active fighter. As for the characters that we haven't seen in any form in Xrd yet, as much as I would love to have A.B.A back, she's possibly the least relevant character that was ever in the main series, and her story in AC was pretty conclusive. That could be easily retconned though, but I'm not expecting her anytime soon. Same deal with "legacy" characters like Kliff and HOS, I would expect them to come back at around the same time as Justice. And finally, I can't imagine that they would be removing any characters. Perhaps replacing them with different versions of them in the cases of Bedman and Jack-O', but they'll still be there in one way or another. I don't think roster size would be too much of a hurdle for Arcsys to balance. I thought USF4 was pretty decently balanced with a large roster, and Arcsys is one of the most (probably the most) competent and capable developers out there right now. Anyways, that's just my two cents.
  8. This seems pretty useful for the instances where you have a ton of meter and they have none, they don't know what's going on, or they suck at reversals. Pretty cool still, I like it!
  9. Ha, I've never seen that quiz before. I don't think it works quite as well after you've already established a main. I think I was biased towards Sol.

  11. I wonder if the air Bandit Revolver change could let us do the BR 5K BR loop again. Just as a guess with knowing as little as we do so far, it sounds like they're trying to make the air version a little more useful, which is always a good thing.
  12. 3 on 3 was great, I definitely miss some of the modes that were available in AC. I would spend hours playing survival mode. Isuka's 4-way was always a little too wacky for me, but I wouldn't be opposed to having it. I also just thought about how an SFxT style tag mode would be interesting. Maybe not good, but interesting for sure.
  13. I'd love to have A.B.A. back to complete my team from AC, but I'd also love to see Anji back. It feels like he should be, now that Baiken is in the game.

  15. I was wondering if this new move is a command normal, and if it will replace one of his current ones. I doubt that he would get a new special move, but I do think it kind of resembles a forward-facing version of Order Sol's Fafnir...
  16. So from what it sounds like, Azami is basically a counter that can be done in blockstun? It seems like it should be more difficult, but relatively just as effective as her old guard cancels. Anti-air Kabari sounds fun. Really glad that Suzuran works how it did in +R. The new Tsurane Sanzu Watashi looks badass. I'll certainly be walking forward to build meter as much as I can. Overall she seems like she should be pretty fun. Does anyone have any footage of guard cancel Azami?
