Okay, finally got some sleep so time for shoutouts: Shoutouts to everyone who made it out, keeping the scene alive. Shoutouts to Team St1ckBuG, running some great tournaments. Shoutouts to Guilty Gear for being awesome. Shoutouts to anyone I played in casuals or in tournament, I was the scrubby Jam that mashes puffball and IK. Shoutouts to OneHitCombo people who made it out, nice to see you outside of IRC. Shoutouts to Sogos for making it out, don't need no Dustloop. Shoutouts to Steve H and MarlinPie for another amazing Grand Finals. Shoutouts to DI0 for offering to teach me shit in training mode after the tournament. Shoutouts to NOW BECOME A TACO. Shoutouts to Testament's 5D. Shoutouts again to St1ckBuG, making me think "FUCK WHY CAN'T I DO THAT". Shoutouts to BANDIT BANDIT BANDIT BANDIT REVOLVUH. Seriously, I'm scrub but I love this game so now I have to like, get good at it. Most fun I've had in a long while, looking forward to whenever I might be able to get out and have some matches again. Also I forgot: Shoutouts to Pennsylvania weather. Seriously, the entire car ride through PA it was sunny and 60 degrees, wonderful weather. 5 miles into Ohio and it turns gray and starts raining. THIS IS OHIO.

Timing. It's all timing. Go into training mode and practice till you can do it. You're right about mashing though, it'll almost never work if you just mash 6P, so you have to be precise with it. One thing you could do is press 6H and hold 4 during the move, then learn when Jam starts walking backwards. That exact moment is when you want to press 6P. 6H > 6P is a link so there's no trick to it, just learn it.

Well, I've been working on a Jam guide to cover most of the basics of the character, and I want to say it's about done. I hope someone gets use out of it that wants to actually learn Jam, that'd be great, and I'd love it if my betters approved it as well. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fd-fLc_WUviEoRVTy6XjhyD-8-lsUnEdluZpzSMVzGU/edit?authkey=CL7hk_MD

If by "inspired" you mean "I took a scan from one of the latest chapters and colored over it", yes, it was very much that. Good on you to at least admit it on the original dA page, but at least make it known everywhere you post it. Also, I'll go ahead and post a drawing of mine so this isn't a pointless post;

I'll try to answer to the best of my ability, but I'm still working on that problem myself. Learn your 5K (+1SD) and 2S (+0SD) ranges, those are strong and fast pokes. Your longest range pokes are f.S (-1) and 2D (-6) but you're gonna have to jump cancel the 2D to make it safe. There are gonna be some characters you're just going to spend half the round just trying to get in on them, you just have to keep your cool and watch for openings. Make sure you learn your matchup specific stuff too, against some characters like Ky or Venom, Jam's 6P can go through some of their farthest pokes and land a counterhit. As for mixup and blockstrings, master your JC IAD kicks, and 236P FRC. IAD623K is a very good crossup, while IAD214K can be made safe if you position it right and hits high. IAD236P is kinda gimmicky but if you can crossup the opponent with it you can hit them with a low when you land. Don't be afraid to 5D every once in a while, it's only -2 on block and is pretty hard to see coming. Also, frametraps, frametraps, frametraps. Scare them into blocking, tick throw every here and there, and from there it's all about hitconfirming.

I don't mean to be pedantic, but can I request my name be spelled improperly in the vids? Yes I know there's not actually an 'o' in Amadeus, but that's just how it's always been in my GamerTag. Anyway, shoutouts to the twins for keeping GG alive at SB. Shoutouts to Guilty Gear for being an awesome game. Shoutouts to MacArthur Blunts, Nives, SH_, and anyone else who didn't get bored beating my scrub ass in casuals. Shoutouts to anyone else I played and letting me know just how fun offline GG really is. Shoutouts to MarlinPie for, despite being rusty and just getting done with MvC3, still made me go super sayain just to try and keep up. and finally, shoutouts to Jam for being loud enough to hear over the rest of the room. WHOOOTCHAAAAAAAA~!

I don't normally play #R online but I hopped on tonight to fight a friend and ended up getting some public games in. GGs to Zabe, learn to block! is all I have to say lol. Still, fun Bridget to fight against. GGs to MacBeth, your Pot just completely shut out my Jam, maybe if I wasn't so used to AC Jam I could've given you a better fight. Shame about the d/c against your Eddie though.

Star-Demon: KA2, LOX, and Mike are all good Jam players. Kaqn played her for a while too, but I dunno if he still does. Those 4 are just off the top of my head, someone else might be able to direct you to more. Also, I want to leave a link here for my betters to scrutinize and help me edit. I've been working on a "Basic Jam Guide" using a lot of the information I've gathered from Dustloop and from what I've learned myself as I got better at playing. I don't want to say this guide is perfect, so that's why I'm gonna hope some of you here will look over it and note any changes or additions you see fit: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fd-fLc_WUviEoRVTy6XjhyD-8-lsUnEdluZpzSMVzGU/edit?hl=en_US&authkey=CL7hk_MD I still need to add a credits section for this, but shoutouts to FlashMetroid and the Dustloop community for even getting the information in the first place, and shoutouts to St1ckBuG to looking over it once and editing it already.
