  1. Somehow I feel there are so many MM's going down that only a quarter of them are actually gonna happen. Everybody proceeds to be labeled a dodger.
  2. Go Autofreaks @ Japantown and buy five-hundred overpriced Japanese car fresheners. Then raffle them off at the end when you're done.
  3. So with this many people going, is NCI going to be some kind of fire hazard? Venue blazin' combos.
  4. Ya know, most Taos I play know how to do that low-stance>2Aor2B stuff really well, to the point where it beats Litchi j.B frequently enough that I notice it. But every once in a while a j.B pulls through and beats low-stance 2A/2B, and when that happens I realize the risk/reward ratio almost justifies being stupid and going for j.B all the time. Am I the only person that is stubborn like this? I realize the safest option is to not put yourself into this kind of situation where you're falling on top of Tao but I can never seem to pass up this jawesome gamble.
  5. Sometimes, doing DP later pays off.
  6. I feel this match hasn't changed all that much. One thing worth noting is you have to be careful with Daisharin oki because of Jin's Hakumen super, but that's pretty much the biggest difference and you would treat it exactly as you would Hakumen. For those who don't know, this super has a huge hitbox but it can be safely dodged with proper superjump>double jump timing if you ever find yourself in a situation where your projectile gets caught but you're free to move. I find j.A solidly beats any jump-reset pressure Jin tries to do off of his JCable 5C but maybe the Jins I play are all terrible at this so I don't know. If Jin tries to do IAD junk off of 5C then jump back>j.A usually stuffs it. I dunno, it depends on spacing but man I abuse that j.A like it's going out of style. Again, it could just be that the Jins don't know what they're doing and it's giving me the illusion that j.A is good. This match is practically the same.
  7. ihold 6b alot
  8. THE ANSWER TO THIS THREAD IS NO.
  9. My brother needs a minifridge.
  10. Damn I just realized my brother is a 10 minute walk away from this venue.
  11. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF Sorry I didn't reply sooner -- I was up in Norcal again so I was driving all weekend. Dang is your udon really bad? I heard your karaage was good though. Hmmm. Dang mang. Yeah let's do it, but you HAVE TO make me your udon if I lose. I feel like at the end of this I will be downgraded to Central Coast's Best Litchi (wtf?) YO, I'M EASILY THE BEST LITCHI IN MY AREA CODE, GET AT ME.
  12. Any chance of making GG Teams 5v5 as well?
  13. I think you're going to be hard pressed to find a lagless HDTV that has component output. I'm guessing what you want to do is have the HDTV take HDMI input from the PS3 so that players can play their matches, laglessly from this screen. Simultaneously, this HDTV is outputting component signals and feeding into whatever recording device you bring. As you may already know, the Asus 236H's don't have component output capabilities so now you're in a bind for equipment to satisfy your requirements. The best alternative is to use a large CRT with a Y-splitter. Have the PS3 output component, then split one to the TV and the other to your recording device. Edit: One more piece of advice. If you plan on using splitters and don't have any on-hand, I highly recommend buying these items online right now. If you end up making emergency trips to Radio Shack/Best Buy for these electronics the day of the tournament, you will be in for a 60+ dollar surprise.
  14. I wanna be on GG 3v3 ;( And maybe BB if things work out. 8'(
  15. All this talk better be build-up to a Beginner's Mode Only fifty-two thousand dollar race to 15 money match or I am disappoint.
  16. It would probably be advantageous (and a lot less complicated/stressful) if you guys decided who was gonna be on the team the day of the tournament. That way you have full information regarding how many people from Socal showed up, which players are on the Socal team, and who from Norcal are actually present. But again, if it's the formality of picking a team that gets you hyped, then disregard me. Sadface. I'll money match Mario Party then. Or DOAX Beach Volleyball 2.
  17. MM in GG first to ten $30 y/n?
  18. All the SLO players are in their respective Norcal hometowns so they're all probably within an hour from NCI. I bet two of them might show up. I'm pretty much driving from Socal. Hey since I'm gonna be on it for 14 hours, how heavily patrolled is the I-5? And unfortunately, I think one of the rules John mentioned was that we had to keep things tame at the venue. But if you just wanted a surefire way to make the stream's viewer rating plummet (I'm assuming this is your intent because you brought up the words "anime", "commentary" and "Max" in the same sentence), we could dress up like these dudes and teach viewers how to do raburabucombos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQ3wcNJQ2Dc
  19. Are you implying that we're all going to go to a sushi bar after the tournament so we can give shoutouts to our favorite things about Japan in an increasingly enthusiastic yet organized fashion as if we were being filmed for, I dunno, a Pacific Northwest anime convention commercial? I'll bring the FEMALES.
  20. So Scott are you going to NCI y/y?
