Yeah I saw that video when it was upload, but I didn't put it on YT cause I don't have time for silly stuff >.> Hopefully there's some things we don't know about and it's not so cut and dry... Also hoping this means possible rebalancing for console release.

Like I said...you're basing the game on Hour 0 play with a bunch of people who have never even played it, hell some of those people could have never played a fighter until then lol Yeah the promo and loctest vids show the true potential of the game, it'll probably be at least a week before we see competent play. And some character have changed a bit since loctest so just hold off on accusations for a bit = w=

Much like in AP zoning is going to be stronger in this game due to the simple fact the airdashes are really weak, players are going to need to really up their footsie games That being said it is FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR too early to even speculate character strength, especially off of these videos as this is "Hour 0" play, lol. Like the store literally just opens up and they began recording, I doubt 95% of the people present have even touched the game (back when it had it's very limited loctests). Give it a week before we start that Theory Fighting ' w'

Of course just because I have adopted Chaos Code now, doesn't mean I forgot about my true baby~

This +1 No offense but we don't need to concern ourselves with Shoryuken or any other community or site until we get some of our own stuff together. Doing alot of the stuff the original poster and several others have brought up sound great, but most certainly should not be considered for use on another community's site. We should first be doing that stuff here before promoting it out to other venues. And while are community may seem a bit divided I am confused at the Guilty Gear side of things, I see several people push and struggle so hard to do cool events and things for it (like the Midnight Carnival podcast and the side tourney organized at Evo) yet I see little pushes here on the forums. The GG requires some reorganization if we truly don't want to count it off as a "dead" game. Which also draws my attention to the Vampire Savior's section, allegedly it was placed on here because no other site has a dedicated hub for it and the community is supposedly still alive, however looking through it I don't feel that way, I don't feel that way at all. It seldom sees discussions and updates, the threads are a bit of a mess, and it just feels like it was done because it could. I'm an occasional VS player and I would be inclined to play more if it didn't seem like such a hassle when looking through the section. For both modern games being covered and more aged titles, we need to come together as a community on all fronts and make anyone who even takes the time to look at the site feel like they are welcome and that they can hop into ANY of these games. Also I too am guilty of almost NEVER looking at the actual front page of the site, it's not too informative and is rarely helpful so I direct myself immediately to the forums, this is something that definitely needs to change.

ALRIGHT the last half of the vids, hopefully we get some new footage later today, at worst we have to wait till tomorrow: [Part 5] [Part 6] [Part 7] [Part 8] [Part 9]

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! A mook/guide is coming on the 17th of this month, I can finally make proper frame data I know I'm really the only one hyped for this (well hell this game period D: ) but I'll most likely buy 2 copies, 1 to unbind and scan (just the important parts) and another for my personal collection :3c Also on the whole matter of "anime" fighters (god I hate that term) and their inability to be held in high praise is mostly due to general ignorance and a willingness to avoid even bothering. Most people don't know the source material for AP and so they automatically disregard it (hell most people thought it was an "air dasher"). Others saw that there were alot of school girls and thought it to be total "weeabo" (another term I don't like) trash and thus has no depth. Truthfully AP is alot closer to SF in general design than say BB or GG, and people who don't understand the Active Emotion System get a bit of the wrong idea as well... Americans, which let's face it are the ones most bothered by this, want to play games they feel won't embarrass them should someone see them playing it. For this I do have to put some blame on modern Japan thanks to the over saturation of "moe" since the turn of the century it has created a certain appeal and look that is heavily rooted in a cultural barrier. Even worst, it's further rooted in a sub-cultural barrier and the majority of the nation that falls outside of this second barrier also judge and criticize their own people and nation for allowing it to run so wildly. The final point preventing these types of games from getting far in the community is a very degree of what denounces as "fun". To most people they can find the charm and appeal in most of these games and can have a general good time without needing to dig too deep into any one aspect of the game, this group of people shall always be referred to as "casual". Then you've got what most of the community aims to be, people who find most enjoyment out of titles with multiple layers of depth and relatively high barriers of play (such as execution), this group in known as the "hardcore". The most shining example I can give of these two groups comes in the for of Ougon, the Umineko fighter. The game gained most of it's "hype" because it was a fighter featuring characters from a popular and established franchise, however once the title released it quickly died in the eyes of "hardcore" players because it lacked depth. I myself have played and still play the game because I find it alot of fun, and unlike most I have very little knowledge and exposure to the series it's based on, I just found the tag system, meter gain and management, and character abilities to be interesting and fresh. Am I saying it was the perfect fighter? Certainly not, but there were ideas present in it that I would love to see return in another title, Ougon related or not. So long as these three major points stand there will always be a rift in the community, and so long as opinions exist it will be hard to get rid of two of them. My only advice I can offer to people who enjoy a "niche" game and have to endure the scorn of the "hardcore" is to continue loving your game, if you really want it to get further do what you can to promote it, even if you get flak for it. You aren't alone, someone out their is bound to already like or have interest in your game you just have to reach out, and if you can show the finer points of your game to the overall community it can at least have presence and who knows, maybe even join the heavy hitters in a sub-category. I mean lots of big tournaments have side tournaments for all manner of games, and some titles have evolved from mere fanfare into sizable communities all their own (Melty Blood). A game only truly dies when EVERYONE gives up on it.

IT NEEDS A MOD! I will admit I'm not exactly with the fact Skullgirls is a mere sub-section on Dustloop, but I gladly show my support, however today has awoken to my attention something that can no longer be ignored, this section of the forum is wild and untamed and it requires some sort of guidance. The general discussion thread has surpassed the recommended 200 pages/2000 post limit, and while a new thread was made since there is no one to lock and sticky the appropriate threads it is getting lost in the pile up of new (and the the moment, unneeded) content. There are currently 13 threads in the SG section and in my personal opinion at the moment only two of those threads need to exist; the general discussion thread (so that the game can be discussed until release) and the fanart thread (because several members have actually been contributing to it). To be honest I never understood the purpose for this thread? This thread sees little activity and most of it's replies were people nowhere near the area stating "I'd like to go but can't cause x", I partially blame the fact it could not be stickied to why it fell into obscurity as well. This thread seems the most redundant for the simple reasons; 1. nearly a month since it's creation and no updates, 2. the experience is based off an old build which can and has changed since then, 3. doesn't really answer much new, just sorta provides personal input. I'm not opposed to a Q&A thread but the game can literally change everyday until release so alot of stuff needs to be constantly updated and maintained until then should you go out to make such a thing. Which brings me to my final point; the character threads that have been made thus far. I will admit I did in fact create a Parasoul thread, but I only did so because I didn't want another to make this thread and sloppily put it together, however it is for that reason I had been restraining myself from making one until closer to release. I suppose place holders are fine, but the topic creators must be willing to commit to regular changes until release, and then of course post release they must be sure to fill in any new/more accurate information. Also the fact a thread was made for a character that hasn't officially been unveiled is completely irrelevant. And as a small side note the video posting/discussion threads are also unneeded in my opinion until the game releases and we can have actual matches (preferably direct feed, we're thankful to get footage anyway we can at this point, but "shaky-cam" material doesn't need to be in dedicated threads like those). Naturally most would think Mike Z has all right to be a mod, and while I agree he should be a co-mod, I believe someone needs to reside over it who can dedicate more time to it. Mike Z is a busy man and doesn't have time to comb through all the little things. So please higher ups, appoint a mod to the SG section and get it together.

No not yet, they did this about a week or so before Jessica released on PC. Just showing the character off is all, hopefully a patch is coming soon!

Sorry I don't really follow players D: Also there are like a zillion new vids on my YT channel (I had to create a new playlist D: ) so you may look at your leisure (too lazy to post any = A=)

Leixia (蕾夏 in Japanese kanji), Xianghua's daughter, will be in SCV, and as much as I love Xianghua I'm glad to see a new character taking her stead and I'm even happier that it gets to be her own daughter.

Man you guys suck D: His ability is most interesting, gaining meter on block can definitely be useful, and since these vids are out it shouldn't be too much longer (hopefully) till he gets patched into Ougon: Reprise (the PC ver)

Hehe sorry, I've just been in a crappy mood lately, don't mind me ^^ But I appreciate the support! = w=b Two more for ya!

Whoa Uri-na, don't blame Bamco, they have NOTHING to do with SFxT aside from giving the go ahead to use any character Capcom pleases, but I agree not having Anna is Zetta dumb (especially for listed "reasons"), but it's ok cause this game has.... KUMA!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone for your support, it means alot to me, I just wish I could do more. Well they've been up for awhile but here are the latest vids: SBO footage After Party Adachi 1 Adachi 2 Adachi 3

More videos, not that anyone gives a damn: And of course tons more on my YT channel/playlist

They are most likely tied heavily into the new story mode (which boast a visual novel like experience so I'm expecting GG/BB levels) as Rose even plays as your instructor in tutorial mode (similar to how Rachel did in CS2) Also here's a link to the latest PV which shows off Saiki and "Classic" Iori in action as well as show off some other features (like color edit mode)

Alright I'm going to be gone for a week, but hopefully my faithful partner will still upload vids for me~ For now enjoy these 2 offerings:
