Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel
ukyo_rulz replied to ivanchu77's topic in Misc Fighter Central
Thanks for those links man. I found them helpful as well. ------ Hey guys I have been trying to learn the game recently. My focus right now is Ethica. I've been watching this video to get an idea of how she's usually played: I noticed that the Zero Hour (Ethica player) does this thing where he seems to do a backwards aerial dash then immediately go into 6+D into jumping E. What is the backwards dash for? Is it just a feint or is there some kind of momentum exploit I am missing here? I am also checking out the Ethica vids on Nico Nico which I found in the system guide. If anyone happens to have other links handy to videos of intermediate to high level Ethica play I'd love to see them. -
I watched the DFCI from last weekend here: https://www.twitch.tv/numakie/v/78397246 Is there any other place where I can watch DFCI with english commentary? I play in Japan so there is no shortage of opponents but I have no resources to learn how assists, potentials and other detail-oriented stuff works.

Thanks for the links. Will definitely check them out. I also went looking in youtube and found this vid: I remember in the beginning I figured I would play Kirino because top tier but I could never link her j.A after qcfA, C. The rest of the characters seem relatively simpler. Maybe go with Tomoka and Mikoto.

Hey guys. I got the first DBFC last Christmas but am only starting to get into it now. What resources should I be looking at? I couldn't find a thread for the old game. I already know about the wiki but I was hoping to read some more in-depth discussion. I want to play Tomoka and I already have some basic combos down but I was wondering if there are some common setups I should be learning. Thanks.

What are the easy and difficult blackhole variants exactly? I've been searching here and googling around but haven't had any luck. I watched some videos of corner BH setups on youtube and I can do them but they have finicky timing. I play online so I need my setups to be as forgiving as possible in case of lag.
-
So I've managed to get a lot better with Koko, but I have some follow-up questions: 1. What is a decent follow-up to 3C, super ball? The combo in challenge mode seems finicky. 2. What do people normally do after hitting Jin with 6B? 3. Is there a thread with details or discussion about black hole? I don't really get how it works.
-
Thanks for this. I read through the first few pages of this thread, and also this last one, but did not find what I was looking for. Of course, it had to be on the page before the last page.

Hello there. I am a very new Kokonoe player that needs some help. I played Blazblue from CT but up until recently I played only Nu-13. Now I am trying to branch out. Basically I would like to know if there is a thread, video or some other resource I can consult in order to get a basic idea of how to play Kokonoe? Maybe read an explanation of her most basic mix-up tools and some level one setups. A condensed list of universal BnBs would also be awesome. Just something basic for most common situations (corner, mid-screen, forward and back throws) that I can use to get out of training mode and into the real game. I've been watching match videos and trying to work through the combo thread, but the match videos are somewhat advanced and the combo thread is an enormous wall of text. I am unsure of how to proceed in a logical fashion. Like, I watch a video and I see that the Kokonoe player does a setup and the opponent gets hit, but I don't know what the mix-up was or what the alternate branches were. I can do the combos in the thread but I am not really sure which ones are BnBs and which ones are not. Like for example there are a ton of CO combos but I am not sure if there is some kind of forced crouch setup I can do ti set them up. If there is no such resource, I guess I can continue to work through the threads myself. Primarily I'm asking because I don't want to go through every single combo listed to see which ones I can work with, only to find that someone else already made a simple list of basic universal combos for people starting out.

From Tokyo, I am able to have good games against some but not all US players in Skullgirls as well as Marvel vs Capcom 2. Basically rollback netcode makes it possible but anything based on input delay is hopeless.
-
I've played online in Japan, and also in the Philippines. From my experience I think this is true for most games. The exception is UMVC3, which has absolutely terrible garbage netcode no matter where you are.
-
I play online in Japan. Every now and then I run into some real kill killers. The best bet to meet them is in a player match lobby. For some reason, Ranked has more beginners and intermediate players.
-
After I started to understand the flow of the game, I got better very fast. I'm in a weird place where I still tend to lose to the S-rankers online with thousands of games played, but I'm not challenged by most of the A-rankers with only a couple hundred matches played anymore. I'm actually fairly happy with where I am right now, as far as skill level is concerned. Don't feel particularly pressured to level up further. I can win maybe 30% of my matches vs the best players and I mostly beat the intermediate ones. I also started playing around with a pocket Morgan. She's fun and the corner combos are stylish. All my strategies and combos are copied from the Morgan players at Examu Cup. The online play is very good here in Japan, though I don't think the netcode is anything special. It just seems that the game is very lenient with inputs. Mike Z told me before that this is the same reason Tekken plays so well online. I think all games should be designed like this. I only played one match with red connection level, where I had to respect Sasara's BC. Never again.
-
Wow. So many missed punish opportunities for me. Sounds good. I will work on these. This was basically my strategy. Works well against green bar connections, but it was fairly iffy against yellow bar opponents.

Still plugging away with my fraudulent Karulau (or カルラ, whatever). Some questions: * Is there any good combo to do with Rina if I get a midscreen hitconfirm? * I am slowly learning to use Maryan for neutral and guard crush setups. She's great for that. Does she give me any worthwhile combo extensions in the corner or even midscreen? * How to fight Chizuru (at this point I can predict and block her patterns, but all my punish attempts have been failing). * How to fight Sasara (so many of her online). I can beat them when they try to go in but when I attack I always eat Shield Bash when I run and Raising Smash when I jump. Then they call Maryan so it looks like I can't punish.

Thanks for all the info guys. Stuff like guard cancels, dash->anything and j.A were not even on my radar. TBH I've been using j.C cos I was like "I guess this option-selects into grab so it must be good". I'm still trying to get to grips with basic stuff like the range for 2B and punishing unsafe stuff (translation: stuff that looks unsafe to me because I have no idea what the frame data is on anything). I've been doing a little better, but honestly I mostly win vs people playing around with alts. Was doing great vs this Sasara online last night, feeling pretty good about nailing that 3-wins-in-a-row trophy, then he busts out Chizuru and I got bodied. I think I was perfected at some point. I also am having all sorts of trouble with Multi. I'll be fine in neutral and then I get hit once and I have no idea how to get out of her wake-up 5b pressure. Overall though I am super happy with Karulau. Great character.
-
Thanks for this. I actually completely forgot that guard cancels were a thing. Need to work them into my game. Finally found some people online last night who were not SSS+ at their characters, and worked myself up to like a 44% win rate. I'm also starting to practice with Maryan. Need to learn how to use neutral assists. I've been using mostly Yuki and Rina.
-
Hey guys, could you give me some tips for playing with Karulau? Like, for overall strategy. Partners, approach, setups, that kinda thing. I read the wiki but the info is kinda sparse. I got some basic BnB combos down and some mediocre setups. Currently I use Rina as my assist and do B+C over and over in the corner when I can. Not sure if there is a better option. I got this game for X-Mas but I only started playing it last Saturday. Went through story mode with everyone and settled on Karulau as a prospective main because she seems to not require much training mode. I just want to be able to play this on the side, not make it my main game. I actually am able to find opponents online because I live in Japan, but everyone is like SSS+ and I'm the only beginner here. Been getting whooped pretty bad. I've got like 1 win out of 15 matches so far.

My custom panel and lexan from blklightning (from Lightning Label Customs) came in last week, and now I was finally able to find the time to put it all together. With this setup, I have a six-button stick that doesn't have to sacrifice the functionality of two buttons. It's like having your cake and eating it too!

It took me about two months to get "OK" with Nu. A lot longer than that just to become "not bad" with /\ (I've got my zoning to a point that I am satisfied with, but I still have trouble timing gravity to get out of pressure and using 6A to anti-air). It took me only one day to learn how play Tager passably, because he is super easy-mode. Actually my Tager is probably loads better than my /\ at this point, so my Sub is actually more of a threat than my Main.
-
Well, he never got it while I was watching so I can't be 100% sure. It seemed to me like he was doing 2D, <press some buttons>, Cat Spirit 2. He might have been trying different variants of this, because he would try the combo a couple of times then write something on his notebook. He'd do it again a couple of times (maybe slightly differently?) and then write on his notebook again. Rinse. Repeat.

Hi guys. I actually went to see the loketest personally (thanks to xlolxlolx for the help). From what I saw, Litchi players and Jin players were dominant. I saw this one Litchi player (I think the name on his card was "Inoue no Fafnir") who had a 20+ win streak and he was destroying everyone with that cool new j.B j.C j.B loop. It could be started from all sorts of openers like Kote-Gaeshi, 3 dragons, and the Litchi players could go into it from a lot of different points in Litchi's pressure/mix-up game. There actually weren't that many Jin players at the time I was there, but the ones who showed up were doing well with his usual style of gameplay, although I noticed that his 6A seemed to be getting a lot more use. The rest of the competition was mostly Ragna, Makoto, Platinum and Noel. The platinum players were making good use of her mobility, but their combos didn't really do a lot of damage (around 2k-2.5k). Noel was dealing big damage out of her drive combos but I'm not a Noel player so I can't describe them very well. Same thing with Makoto. Ragna players were still getting good results from abusing his 5B and 6A. There were some Valkenhayn players too but they hardly ever won. I didn't see any other characters getting serious play, although there was this one guy on a corner machine practicing Taokaka combos by himself (in the corner, cancel 3C into Almost Becoming 2, 6C, jump back Cat Spirit 2, jump forward Cat Spirit 2, jump up Cat Spirit 2, <some kind of drive follow-up that he kept dropping>).

Thanks for the confirmation. As for store hours, it's fine. I actually pass through Mizonokuchi station on the way home so it's not going to take me far out of the way.
-
Is it the Taito Station Game Center (タイトーステーション溝口)? If so, I might be able to go there this weekend. Or tomorrow evening after work.
-
Sorry if this info is in someplace obvious but I couldn't find it: Where exactly is this loketest going on? Is it far away from Tokyo? It'd be awesome if I could go and see some matches personally.

I was really only replying to your comment about going for TK loops if possible. Just reiterating that I was aware that TK is the superior option but online lag is throwing off my timing. I know all the TK setups will work for 5c 6c with the right spacing. I was hoping that it could be forced like "if too close to the corner do this" or "if mid-screen this combo will almost always put them at the right distance". It would have also been awesome if there was a way to transition from a normal TK loop to a 5c 6c loop. Anyway I guess there aren't easy ways to do that. It's kind of a shame too, I think, because I just read from the BBCS2 changes discussion that it looked like 5c 6c was getting a boost.
