  1. From what I've seen, it's guaranteed both hits if you end a ground string with 5H but I've seen some people frc it in mid combo. Dunno why. =\ Also, does anyone know what Ky's 5 old school colors are? So far I've seen: XX: kick, dust Slash: taunt
  2. I'm not seeing a lot of stun dipper application for ending ground combos. Is it not as good as before?
  3. Overall, I'm happy with the changes. They made the spam tactics from Slash less effective while giving him more to work with. Now I think he is a little less linear overall.
  4. I wonder what other hidden moves he might have. Aegis high? Command throw? We can only hope. :|

  7. That's some very good news. After watching all the match vids vs Baiken from filebank, I can't help but shake my head in disgust. Her new counter move utterly destroys CSE pressure. It's so fast and it's positioning is so good it's like in instant "get out of pressure free" card. Seriously, the CSE is one of the things that greatly helped Ky in that matchup and now it looks useless against her. What is he supposed to do now?
  8. I love how in the vs screen they spell Ky's last name as "Kyske" yet in the opening movie it's spelled with an 'i' (like it's supposed to be). <.<
  9. It's done while they're in the air? Dang. What are the setups for it? If there is no practical way to set it up then it may not be all that useful. =\ The only setup I can see at this point is after an impossible dust.
  10. Yeah, he absolutely needs a followup off that LJ. The wallbounce and trajectory just scream "RELAUNCH!" I'll be disappointed if there isn't one but by the looks of things, it may be possible. Also in match #20 of filebank, it also looks like there is a possible followup to the LJ. It occurs around 1:07. Since Ky lands crouching quickly before the opponent does I'm thinking 2P would definitely work here. Still waiting to see if there's any matches that show off this 6H loop.
  11. I wanna see vids of this 6H loop if there are any. HS VT needs to have a followup after lightning javelin. There has to be something.
  12. Is CSE on the ground still frcable? I don't remember seeing it in any of the matches. =\ And does the new 6H really force crouch position on the opponent if you hit them during the stun? I saw it in match #84.

  14. So has anyone managed to download all the Ky vids off filebank? If so, please upload somewhere else because I'm just dying to see these. The one match vs Sol just makes me itch for more. >.< lol Ky yell's "Stun Dipper!" now.
  15. Thanks. That's going to save us all A LOT of time. Now I just have to download them. -_- Is the video quality good? Edit: My connection at home sucks and it keeps dropping. Would someone be willing to take the time to host them on youtube or upload them somewhere? filefront, etc.

  17. I'm thinking if they kept his old 6H, the new 6H could have been 4H instead.
  18. It looks like it has good range but unfortunately I don't think there's any video yet that showcases how it works on block. The old 6HS gave plenty of frame advantage on block and it made getting S-K loop much easier. So until we see its properties on block, we won't really know. I really wish they just changed the command of his old 6HS though. =\
  19. I'm not really feeling hyped up about Accent Core either. Since the game is still in its testing stages anything is up for change at this point. But I guess I'll wait for the final release too rather then get all worked up about the news and changes the come along the way.

  21. In that clip that was posted earlier, did the air stun edge combo or did the Johnny just not tech out? I couldn't tell if the beat counter turned black.
  22. I couldn't see the entire thing, I saw the background for overdrives but all I could really see was his standing slash before it ended. And does anyone know the properties of lightning javelin? It would be nice if that thing causes wall bounce. If you can't move after it then you're pretty much a sitting duck while the opponent waits for you to fall. =\
  23. Cool. I'll do all that I can to attend this one. Hopefully Blitz is back in town by then.
  24. Crescent Slash could actually be used in combos in GGX. Greed Sever couldn't be used that way in XX. But still, I'm hoping the changes they're making don't make unable to compete with the rest of the cast.
  25. It pains me to talk about Slash Ky in the past so soon. =( If they made him more complicated to play while still yielding good rewards, then he would be a balanced character. He was a relatively easy character to use for all of the tone ups that he got, but at the same time, he doesn't need to be nerfed to the point of uselessness. Overview: in #Reload he wasn't good enough, but in Slash he was too good. The developers are going to have to put in some extensive time finding that balance between both.
